I'm thinking the glue on the pad would not hold up over time, but with a wrap of sorts around the entire stock over the pad it might secure it longer. I've viewed looking for ideas for getting a female shooter better set ups on a male gun stock.
Two years and it's still good. Recently applied a similar pad from MCARBO to my RDB and used a heat gun during the install. We'll see how it holds up with a rifle that sees a lot more use. I've often used pipe insulation and vet wrap to get students the proper eye alignment at Project Appleseed Rifle Marksmanship Clinics. Not elegant, but it works.
@@AmbGun How do you take it off? I put one on my Beretta DT11 and i am so scared to take it off because i don't want to ruin the wood and it is not leveled so it makes it harder for me to line up my sight.
I do like it. However, I do have one tiny slit on mine now where it came in contact with an edge on my gun cleaning stand. The shape was perfect for my 45-70. It would be interesting to test the same pattern with different materials...like neoprene, rubber, or Ensolite. Adhesive has held up well so far, too.
Hair dryers work great.
But for Kydex a heat gun is better.

@@AmbGun ok cool, thanks for the info. 👍🏻🙏🏼
Has a very nice looking steel and wood gun.
Glues a piece of ugly plastic on it.
Sad!
Gaining perfect eye alignment for when marksmanship is more important than fashion.
Im sure the dead animal on the other end was sad about that too.
