- Since the release of Uncle Tom Part 2, several people have asked us for recommendations of resources they could use to do their own research. We did do a ton of research in the making of Uncle Tom Part 2. We read all kinds of books. We dove through all kinds of archives and footage. And I remember as I was learning more and more about the Civil Rights Movement and how steeped it was in Marxism, I was just amazed that nobody else had, to that point, put out a film that shows this side of American history. That is, until I came across a film called "Anarchy U.S.A.", written and directed by Edward Griffin in 1966.
When I first watched Anarchy USA, I had a feeling of shock and relief - shock because here you had a film that basically showed a lot of the same things that I myself have come across in my own research - and relief that I'm not the only one talking about it. In fact, G. Edward Griffin was talking about it well before I was even born. So that was cool to see because it helped me to understand that there's a lot of people who know full well what the Civil Rights Movement was all about.

This is an extremely important piece. In the 1960's in Hong Kong, there were also massive riots provoked by Communists. I think there is a pattern many people have misse.
So many commenters here are calling this a propaganda film even though they're watching it happen with their own eyes and that's exactly what's happening today. Cognitive dissonance divide and conquer history is repeating itself.

I’m a 59 yo white man. This video is the most eye opening video I’ve ever seen. I will watch this a few more times to try and get a better understanding of the entire video as a whole. I’ve always considered myself pretty observant and streetwise but this video make me feel quite naive and ignorant to the evil I’ve been surrounded by my whole life. Please share this video and educate your friends and (if you live in America) your fellow Americans.

Blacks were given nothing after slavery. JFK said it in his Civil Right Speech in April of 63. That's what the movement was about, not Communism. Thank you for posting this documentary. Unfortunately, this information is very relevant today. The biggest difference is in 1966 when this film was produced the US was at maybe step 3-create the appearance of popular support. Today I believe we are at step 5.

I grew up in Mobile, AL. We saw no discrimination or segregation. We all lived together as great neighbors giving and helping each other. But as I got older, my parents taught us in the 60s that Communist was going to divide us and try to take away our Freedoms and Liberties. My dad was military and my mother worked for IBM. They taught us for years that they would take over through our children.

G Edwin Griffin is a national treasure. I wish he made more films like this one today. He is sorely missed. I am glad that I was able to shake his hand and encourage him several years ago.

The problem is not that we don’t see what is happening, it’s that those who think they are educated, think socialism and communism is good. You ask the kids nowadays if there should be socialized medicine or if government should be determining what is or is not free speech and they agree. yes the government should tell us what we can say, do or not do among other things. Anarchy USA came out decades ago and it's relevance and importance has only increased (unfortunately). One of the things about Anarchy USA that made it so impactful for me was that it was made roughly 56 years ago. Over these 5 and a half decades, time has done a perfect job fact checking/confirming the information.

The black man and woman in the film talking about Communism are obvious liars for the government to help make it all about a false Communist movement over the truth of the time. It was really just about blacks trying to gain equal rights in this country. Blacks didn't have a single right that white people had in these days. Voting rights, decent housing, decent education, etc. Segregation made sure we didn't have these rights along with the terrorist group of the KKK of 6 million racist that kept us at the bottom in a country of racial hierarchy.

His argument about Cuba, Algeria, and China was far too simplistic. The conditions in so many places are so bad, it is easy for the Reds to come in a sow dissent. Algeria has an amazing history with many great scholars and cities. The tribes are the mountain people. The idea they were warring and then the wonderful French came and helped them evolve. This is simply false. The French were ruthless and oppressed the Arabs and Amazigh people. I say this as a fan of G. Edward Griffin.

@@dsoule4902Wait just a minute. My parents were WW2 generation. They lived through all of that stuff with the cold war, the Cuban missile crisis, the Bay of Pigs, the whole entire era. They both leaned on me very hard to study all of the history of the Russian revolution, Stalin, the treatment of the Kulak farmers, the purges, the takeover of Eastern Europe and the formation of the Warsaw Pact, Soviet involvement in the early days of Vietnam, The KGB infiltration of the hippie culture, and way too much more to mention here. They also gave me books like "We the Living" "A Day In The Life Of Ivan Denisovich" "The Gulag Archipelago" a biography of Lenin, "1984," "Animal Farm", "None Dare Call it Treason", and many others. Later, I found "The Brothers Karamazov" on my own and it was easy to see that Dostoevsky knew all this was coming as far back as 1875.
My parents had an excellent grasp on the reality of the years from the end of WW2 up through the 70s, and they did everything humanly possible to make sure that I understood the threats that we faced in those days. In addition to all of that, I had a very good friend who was born and raised in Leningrad, (St. Petersburg) who defected and got political asylum in this country. He served in the Soviet army in Afghanistan for 3 years, wrote a book about his experiences, and was hounded by the KGB until he escaped. He gave me many hours worth of stories and details of day to day life in the Soviet Union, and his book is really good too. All of this background information is why Bezmenov's words resonate in my ears. I have picked up a reasonably good informal self education on this subject, and I have a reasonably clear picture of the basics.
So please, don't throw personal insults at me or give me some condescending keyboard warrior routine because I don't have a PHD on the subject. Although It's not my specialty, I believe that my basic layman's understanding of all this is at least a little better than average.
And, I thank God, my parents were wise enough to see what was happening...and thus I was blessed with a education from home in addition to formal...thus allowing me to critically think! The John Birch Society for which Mr. GRIFFIN WAS A MAJOR EDUCATIONAL CONTRIBUTOR!

It didn't fool me for one second because I studied black history for over 10 years now. The Civil Rights movement wasn't about Communism. It was about equal rights for black people because we were Segregated into slums and ghettos and didn't get resources in our communities like whites. Or decent schools, jobs or housing for that matter. All while the KKK was allowed to lynch us with impunity and they bombed over 200 black churches also. No mention of any of that in this propaganda film.

This movie is disgusting. They actually tried to blame the church bombing in which those four little girls were killed on communists in the civil rights movement. I can’t even begin. There are so many things to refute but my fingers would bleed from the tying.
I remember seeing this film when I was a child. Watching it again I can't help but think about how many of these communist tactics have been appropriated and are currently being used by the power elite and its corporate media (eg. the capitalists): divide the people; create appearance of popular support; neutralize the opposition, precipitate mob violence. Of course the goal is not revolution but the consolidation of wealth, power and control.

I read a book by a gentleman named Manning Johnson, it was called Color, Communism and Common Sense. It shed some light on the above topic from a personal perspective. It was published in 1959 by Snowball publishing. Only covers the political aspects. Not about MLK just communism, has historically valuable information in it.
G Edward Griffin actually was the one who found Manning's last speech. He then printed it onto records and distributed it for anyone willing to listen. Some kind souls have uploaded it to the youtube..search Manning Johnson Farewell Address...G Edward does the intro....

As an anarchist, I believe that people should answer to no one but god. I believe that people should have the autonomy to make decisions on matters that affect their lives. This entire country was built off the backs of slaves. America would be a third world country without our labor making us the #1 cotton producers in the world. Black slaves alone were valued at more worth than all the manufacturing plants and corporations combined in the 1800's. It was the most brutal slavery in history that lasted 244 years. Fast forward to the 1877 Reconstruction Compromise that started Jim Crow (which was another 92 years of slavery without shackles for black people) and blacks were segregated through racist propaganda. In the segregation period, only whites got the right to decent homes, the right to vote, the right to a decent education and decent treatment as a human. Why do you think we needed a 1964 Civil Rights Act, a 1965 Voting Rights Act, a 1968 Housing Rights Act. This film tries to whitewash all these facts to make blacks like MLK look like a Communist. It's a damn shame.

My late father-in-law set bombs around Havana during the Cuban Revolution. He later came to realize the gravity of what he did and took his family to the US in 1962/63. They were among the last to escape Castro's rule. Not sure in what capacity, but he worked for the FBI at one time.

Jim Crow was still slavery without shackles for bkack people during this time, but thus film leaves ALL that information out of the equation. Black churches were still being bombed by the KKK and blacks were still being lynch during this time, but the film left it out. It also never explains why the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the 1965 Voting Rights Act and the 1969 Fair Housing Act was needed to be signed into law during these times.
