Another nice video. Btw, I wonder if you might have had your camera set to wrong shutterspeed there, by accident? Or maybe it was intentional ... Not that it matters much, but it looked like it was tearing/stuttering/blurring, like maybe it wasn't set to twice the framerate?
Seeing you work with that old delay reminds me of tricks you can do with a PT delay. They do wacky stuff when the clock speed gets too slow, making all kinds of plinks and ripping noises. You can get odd rhythms by modulating delay time in and out of the nominal range with an lfo or whatever.
@@TheUnperson I'm thinking of the many delays using the PT2399 chip. Probably the most popular ones are the Befaco Crush Delay and Strega, but there are many. I have a Sound of Shadows v2 which sells for cheap. Mine isn't presently racked, but the resale value is so low I don't think it's worth my going to the trouble of hocking it.
@@TheUnperson RDS 3.6 (had to check). Now that I'm looking at it, it definitely has a "VCO Control" input. I'll have to see what nonsense I can make it do... I've had it for years since my effectron died. Back before I had a "real job" I used it for mixer feedback with a bunch of other cheap gear. It has 3 outputs (Mix, Dry, Invert), 3.6 seconds of delay time, and a nice hold function, so it was very well suited to that purpose. I've barely used it since my eurorack started filling up.
Drum sample here!

great stuff m8
Really fascinating mate 👍
Cheers man!!
vss200 ftw! also great for sampling textures and just running it through its lo-fi goodness :)
I looove the vss-200 - i think i prefer it to the sk1 :D
Genius
too kind! :D

Yea you’re right ~ I only noticed it when I started editing! Thanks for pointing it out tho because I’d forgotten to change my camera settings back!
@@TheUnperson No worries, I think I only noticed because I'm just starting to learn this video/editing stuff.

I;ve never encountered the Pt delay.. is it the Bug Brand one?

KOMA Field Kit FX also has a PT2399 chip delay. It’s noisy and lo-fi and I like it.
Enjoyed the video!
thank you!!
2:55 I've got hours of that stuff and I never remember to go back to it🤣😋
haha same man!
Weird, I just bought an RPS-10 this morning. I didn’t even know it got this wild.
I think my venerable digitek rack delay has this input too but I never knew what it was....
oh nice! It's one of favourite noise toys!
@@GeorgeLocke ohh! which digitek delay do you have?

Evidently it is spelled "DigiTech" although the rear panel says, has its serial number printed on a sticker that says "DOD Electronics Corp."
