One more reason I enjoy your channel. Your knives are made by you from start to finish. That's a rare thing today. I always learn something good watching your videos. Thanks Sandy,
I just feel so lucky and privileged to own one of you beautiful classics Sandy . I had no idea you made the pins . Stunning craftmanship in every way . I have been so busy here down on the moor and I'm lagging behind with your posts . But oh boy do I love them. Keep up the stunning work. Besh wishes Pete & Marina..
Sandy , i wondered about the Mosaic pins, just thought you purchased them ! Wow, what a slick way to make them ! Amazing, i like the Brass liners , very nice ! Good luck, 73, Jerry K9UT
Beautiful classic. Perfectly, this brass spacer gave a special, classic touch, an extra sharm on the knife that I didn't expect to be possible. Once again Mister Sandy outdoing himself. I keep imagining this knife with a very dark wood. The video was about mosaic pins but the brass spacer stole the show. Congratulations
Just amazing to watch this is why jacklore knives are just the best in my opinion and why so many want them the tome effort and craftsmanship you put in sandy is just second to none and it makes me feel very proud to own a jacklore hope you guys are well love to all the family stay safe and keep up the great work. Loved watching this vid just so interesting how everything comes together 👍❤️👍❤️👍
Yes, nice work & great pointers. ThankQ! I was shooting my guns & got the idea to use the spent brass casings from my bullets. The .223 ammo works best because of the length & width, I use the .22 long ammo casings for the inside w/black powder in the resin, copper &/or stainless steel rod inside the .22 long casings gives a good look.. It's also handy that 1 side of the casing remains closed so the glue doesn't pour out. Before using, I give the casings a good soak in a bowl of hot soapy water, rinse & air dry outside in the Florida sun to remove any remaining gunpowder. It saves $ & looks great. After the resin is dry i simply cut off that closed end using the cut off wheel from my angle grinder, the Dremel cut off wheel also work's good.
Just one more reason why Jacklore knives are highly sought after. So very cool Sandy to watch and learn another step in the making of a bushcraft piece of art. Thanks for sharing. Tony.
I’m a huge fan of your work Sandy!! This is why your knives are so admired. The amount of effort and thought you put into them are astounding !! Just to think, these are just the mosaic pins that go into them ! The brass liners flow nicely as well!! Impressive, indeed 🙌👍
Always good to see the current techniques and how they have progressed over time. Heh jynx!!! Was just doing something similar with my drill this morning but for hidden pins. Ment to say awhile back , realy like your sandpaper storage idea beside the vice. I have mine setup on a long bar like a toilet roll holder and have the paper hanging down, pinned under a long planer blade screwed to the wall. Think ill have to incorporate that idea in with mine, very handy. Those brass liners look very elegant! What works great also is copper, especialy with black woods, like ebony, african blackwood and zircote! For the leak in the valve, if its in the threads you can unscreww it and add PTFE tape to the threads. But if its the valve itself change it ASAP, pressure pots are known to blow as soon as theyre faulty!
Thanks for sharing that Sandy. I stumbeled through trying to make my own once. I used a syringe to pump the epoxy in. Not an easy task and what I mess I made. I may attempt this in the future as I'd love to say I made the mosaic pins. I really like those brass liners. Boy do they ever make the knife pop. They looked awesome.
When we're talking about things of beauty such as Jacklores I don't think the few grammes the brass liners will add to usual weights will upset anyone . Everything comes with a price Sandy , even such elegance. I think the last 'pin' vid I saw had you syringing the epoxy in . This way looks like an efficient innovation . Brass liners eh , those snazzy 'white horse' pins we saw eh , eh ! You can be a bad man Sandy J . 'My name is Will - I be a knifeaholic' ...
Excellent! Your very talented sir! I love watching your videos and admire your workmanship. I intend to save up my beer tokens and I hope to purchase one of your classics in the not so distant future! Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge! Best wishes 👍🏽👍🏽😎👌🏽
Beautiful Sandy. Love the brass liners. I'm doing that at the minute on a stag handled piece. But I messed up when cutting the brass and I think I might have to start over.
Those brass liners look amazing! Very nice indeed. BTW, maybe a quick tip, but pre-zip your your zip ties (get them close to the size you need) so you can easily slip them over the folded tube and pull tight, with that messy job it might it a bit easier.
The brass liners are absolutely beautiful!! I also really like the Trinity pins - my classic has the quad pins (2 solid / 2 hollow) which I also love. When you make the decision on offering the Whittlers knife, I will be waiting at your web site to claim one with brass liners, trinity pins and maser birch 😍 - well done Sandy!
Beautiful Sandy, you can also run the chucked pins against the belt sander reverse mode to the drill, gets em thin fast! What was the name of that vacuum pump thingy, I would like to try that...
Do you ever do epoxy colours other than black for your mosaic pins ? Also have you ever had any mosaic pins show any weakness versus mechanical bond of Corby or Loveless bolts ? All of your videos are addictive and I can see I will end up watching each and every one (who needs sleep ?)
Excellent upload Sandy. I wondered how the epoxy infill was completed. Still looking out on the website for the opportunity to purchase a Wasp. The brass liners in that Classic were simply stunning. Thanks. Simon
Hi Sandy great video mate! I was thinking if you heat the outer tube wouldn’t expand enough to fit the inners? Just a thought you might want to try. I love the brass liners and if I had to chose I would go with tapered tang and thicker brass liners. I believe when you split wood having the brass liners to act as a hard barrier before the handle it’s an advantage. It would prevent damage by having the log close to it when batoning.
Great video Sandy. Is there a reason you choose to put the epoxy under pressure to reduce any bubble size versus putting it under vacuum to pull out the bubbles?
Hello Mr Sandy, great work of yours really. I wonder whether you are planning to add new designs to your builds? Not trying to be intrusive just wondering.
Thanks for this. I'm in the process of fitting wooden scales to a kitchen knife whose handle has disintegrated. In another video the fella "peened" the pins, by bashing them at the ends to make them mushroom out and thus hold the scales in place, is that strictly necessary as it's not something I've seen you do?
Great video, Sandy,, like I said in the original mosaic pin video, I like to use photo copier toner, mixed with the epoxy, it gives such a pure shiny black,, hope this tip helps someone,, all the best to you and yours,,, John,
Thanks for sharing. I have made some mosaicpins in a simular way....but if you really take all materials and time spend to make them into account i very much doubt these self made pins are very cost effective.
Sandy, absolutely fantastic. I've tried to forward my details to you via your web page. However your full E-Mail address is not recorded so I can order the wasp xl. I'm extremely interested in purchasing a couple of your knives but I'm aware that you don't take orders. Could you update your address on your web ? Keep up the great work, you have a wonderful gift.
Hi Malcolm the problem is I'd get snowed under answering emails, it's only me doing everything. I will be working on some more Wasp XL knives in a few weeks. Hope you get a chance of one. Sandy
@@Jackloreknives thank you so much for the quick reply Sandy. I fully understand why you don't take orders and I agree with the first come first serve. But when you advertise what you have for sale on your website I only get part E-Mail address. This means that I have no chance to be placed in the pot. Sorry for sounding like a moaning old goat.
The brass liners on your handles do look great and thanks for the guide through with pins.
Thank you for showing how to reduce the inner tubes with the sand paper. So simple, yet otherwise we would have struggled to overcome this issue.
Those brass liners look excellent, another very nice knife
I'm learning a lot from your videos Sandy. Now all i need is a workshop and the tools.
One more reason I enjoy your channel. Your knives are made by you from start to finish. That's a rare thing today. I always learn something good watching your videos. Thanks Sandy,

Fantastic work as usual Sandy. Great contents 👍
Might be easier to clean the insides of the tubes with a gun cleaning rod. Great tips. So talented. Keep the videos coming!

Absolutely brilliant...so much work goes into making these knives, even down to the little pins. Outstanding.
The pins and brass liners look really nice.
Love those liners.

A lot goes into each build Tony:)
Nice touch using brass as a liner, a stunning result.
Definitely prefer the trinity pins. Look so much more elegant and not so utilitarian. Amazing work Sandy
Your attention to detail sandy is very thorough and exquisitely portrayed 👏👏👏👏👌👍
Thanks Martin
Thank you for upload and sharing Sandi a true tradesman and of course true Gentleman 👍🏻🙏🏻👊🏻
Thank you for the great demo of your process. The mosaic pins add an extra touch of class to an already elegant Jacklore knife!! Happy Holidays!
I would still like to buy a classic Sandy. Still trying after 10 years. Thanks for sharing. Captjohn.

Great video Sandy. Is there a reason you choose to put the epoxy under pressure to reduce any bubble size versus putting it under vacuum to pull out the bubbles?
Have you thought of having your logo extruded in brass? Would make a lovely pin.
Hi there, could you please tell me what wood you used for the wasp knife, thanks, enjoy.your videos..

all the best to you and yours,,, John,
Is the process of reducing 4 x inners easier than reducing the I.D. of the pin tube x 1?
This is great
Hi Sandy, Have you ever thought of using a rifle pull through and 2 x 4 cloth to clean the tubes?
Good idea that
Cant wait to get my Hornet, trinity seal plesse 👍
When's next batch coming ❓ Are there gonna be enough ❓
Excuse me, sir, but what size are those Mosaic pins in your thumbnail / knife?
6.35mm or 1/4 inch
