Channel Update: Demonetization, Channel Memberships, and More!

- Hello, everyone! I have some quick channel administration updates to share with you all in this separate video.
Firstly, I want to apologize for jumping the gun on Wednesday videos; I have not been able to create any for the time being due to other commitments. Expect those to start rolling out in June!
Secondly, some of the videos on the channel have been getting demonetized for one reason or another. Although this is a hobby, with books, films, editing software, and other expenses, it is a rather expensive hobby. With some of the videos being demonetized, I am rolling out a UA-cam Membership Program!
By no means should you feel obligated to support the channel financially; by watching the videos, you are doing more than enough! But, if you feel so inclined, you can click the little join button next to the subscribe button, which seems to be only on the browser version of UA-cam and not on the app.
The membership costs three dollars, and you will have early access to the Saturday videos, updates on projects in the community tab, the ability to vote on future content, and a little membership icon next to your name. I’m still hashing out some ideas for the membership program, so let me know your thoughts and ideas in the comments.

Yeah, this is a common problem for history creators. Its why a lot of them switch to nebula
YT is not monolithic. Other platforms exist that you should look at...you could always use YT to redirect traffic. Your videos are damn good, and I do believe capturing history is a wonderful hobby...maybe a career if you are as passionate about it as it seems.

WYou should you work so hard I think you should be compensated for what you do you put a lot time in to the channel I have no problem giving you money and 3/ dollars sounds a bit cheap to my is it all right to give more on the you tube site please let me know once again thank you for all your hard work
It's strange you don't have more subscribers. I don't understand why you would be demonetized for history about ships.
Quite frankly, it’s a couple reasons (at least to my understanding). One, the subjects are somewhat niche and therefore the algorithm doesn’t push the videos as much as video games or other more flashy history videos. Two, my voice. Some people find my voice quite annoying and do let me know about it in the comments, and it tends to lead to less people viewing the videos. As for the demonetization, I’m dealing with some company’s claiming photos and or videos that I use in the videos. Nothing too major, just can’t make money off of them.
@@ImportantHistory the youtube algorithm ; its not fake, its not overdramatisede, there is no load music. it true history! nobody want to watch this.
