As always the music is free to use for any content creators or streamers. So my dudes. What's up my description reading bros. I didn't include Skadi VA lines because I super forgot after I rendered the whole thing and rendering takes like an hour. So I will be lazy and not redo this with her vocals. In my defense I don't think it would fit this song that well. Anyhow I hope you guys like the song. I'm trying to get better and better at this with each song. This is freaking amazing! I love how it starts slowly and it really sounds like a medley at the start, and then it turns into a full on metal song. The violin adds a really sweet touch to it, which fits her so well. This honestly made my day. Definitely playing this when I get inspired to write stuff about the Abyssal Hunters again! Congrats for making such a nice song for the mysterious orca! Have a nice day!

Skadi - The Abyss Slayer!
Nice work the theme really fits Skadi like how she's alone and mysterious and powerful. It could be just me but I can feel the solitary aspect throughout the entire theme even in the metal music. Also looking forward to your Blaze and Blue Poison themes. The Blaze theme sounds like it's gonna be epic while Blue poison theme is probably my most interested one.

Wow, this is incredible! I love the use of the metal music alongside the piano riffs, it reflects the two sides of the character really well. I'll be adding this one to my playlist ASAP.

They are drones yes. I actually used ocean depths samples. Even whale sound samples for the entire song

I feel like the slow start fits skadi’s personality more. Like weedy’s theme it should’ve stayed calm and relaxing, but this isn’t bad either. Just that metal doesn’t seem to fit her too much without stretching a bit. That’s just my opinion eitherway good job!
I hope we get an extended version of the relaxing bit tho lol.
It's all good I'm happy you wanted to discuss it. I agree with you. Lore wise she's a monster in the battle field who works alone and mows through enemies. That's a bit part of her lore how she's completely different when fighting however I completely understand. I did my best to capture both sides however I'm so into the slow part I'll be taking an extended orchestra version with no metal bit because a bunch of people as well as myself love that part
Isaak Wolf I totally understand the reason behind the metal part, she is called a catastrophe afterall and you did a nice job capturing both sides.
And really? Nice! I can’t wait to hear the extended orchestra version, that underwater(?) bit and piano is so wonderful. I’m not exaggerating when I say the first 40-45 seconds and last bit are nothing short of an absolute masterpiece! It captures skadi’s very essence the “mysterious” vibe about it is absolutely breathtaking. Either way you are doing an awesome job and you are improving a lot! I wish you the best of luck!
I see your point, but personally I feel the contrast of the calm sections with the harsh metal perfectly fits her; Skadi is overwhelmingly powerful and indiscriminate in combat. Very much the rip and tear nearly doom-esque metal sections, but there's a mysterious calmness and longing to her outside of battle that fits the peaceful sections, and I feel you've captured that well.
You guys don’t seem to understand my point, like I said the metal part do slightly fit her but only when you stretch her character. Skadi is powerful but that doesn’t mean she’s “rip and tear” kind of powerful, if you read her battle lines you will see how calm she is about killing. In simple words skadi doesn’t have the hot blooded personality for a metal to “perfectly” fit her. If you listen to bloodborne themes which is the very inspiration behind Skadi and take a listen to the “final” boss theme you will see that theme lean toward a character’s personality and backstory rather than how powerful they are, and they do exactly that despite that boss’s being the “finale” and one of the most powerful hunters they still gave him a slow saddening music because that reflects on their character more, while another hunter who turned bloodthirsty and became a monster got a fast hyped theme. You guys got skadi wrong, she’s not brutal on the battlefield, she’s unconcerned. She doesn’t care and only does what she’s ordered and that’s it. She’s not like specter who is out for blood and tearing her enemies apart.
Anyways my point is, themes reflect on their characters personality more than anything. And skadi just doesn’t have that “metal” vibe to her. She’s always calm even when kal’tist was trying to provoke her she didn’t get mad and only told her how she doesn’t trust her. Anyways that was just my opinion, I’m trying to get isaak wolf to improve I’m not saying the song is bad I just said that the calm/sad bit would fit skadi *more* and I think most people will agree because skadi herself is a calm person and quite sad. But yeah that’s all I have to say about this. If isaak ever makes a slow version I would absolutely love to hear it.
I'm working on a slow version ya. Honestly I think the bloodborne route like the first hunter theme probably would've been better. While music is subjects I greatly appreciate your time and investment on discussing this. I agree with you. Truthfully if you look at my songs metal seems to be my crutch since that's my background. I will be marking all you points made about the song and will take more time to translate the characters personality more into the music. Fen thank you again for engaging in a discussion about this. I would love to hear more of your feedback on my other tracks to help me improve. This is a community effort to make these songs. I put out a track, you guys tell me what you like and what to improve and I get better. I will be retackling operators I've done before as well. I wish to diversify my genres of songs even more.
