I actually had a pheromone treat for my baby when we moved from Alaska to California, and I was shocked at how well it worked. I just put a little bit on my finger, let him lick it off, and he was chill until we stopped for the night. Did that the whole 4 days it took to finally reach Cali.
O K Hey!! I know this is a super old comment BUT I use feliway( a plug in diffuser) and it genuinely does work! My boy has severe anxiety but it chills him out so much that now he even greets guests!

I grew up with dogs and my mom is allergic to cats. I thought cats were selfish, moody, clawbeasts. Then I married a cat lover and we adopted 2 kitties. They really do feel empathy and know when we need comfort. They have personalities too. We took Christmas pictures this year, but the cat photos were me holding 1 kitty at a time. They HATE pictures, but it still turned out pretty cute. I had a rough night last night and both kitties slept near me to make sure I was okay.
I mean I've always wanted cats but my mom used to be allergic(mildly)...we still got cats anyway and I think the biggest thing my mom said was "I didn't think I'd become as attached as I am" midnight sleeps with my parents and they are both incredibly cuddly

I live in the country so I have like 10 cats ,love them all I hand feed 4 of them
My boyfriend and I are doing Christmas photos with our cat.. We just brought him in as a stray a couple weeks ago so this is his first Christmas with us and our first animal together so i'm insisting on a family Christmas photo.. 😂 Mind you it won't be a professional photo, just a photo taken by us in front of our tree hahah then we can make it a family tradition 🙈 😂 Had to add in, we are doing matching outfits, including our kitty in a matching outfit with ours!

Mine was me with a mouthful of dairy queen after a session of yearbook editing taken by the teacher overseeing yearbook while me her and her son were hungry. Everyone loved it and someone gave me a dairy queen giftcard for graduation.

I cried! Your families are just so beautiful! And as a 31-year-old childless woman who's always wanted kids and makes up for it by having fur babies, I felt all the feels.
I've always wanted kids, probably never will, the rest of my family members around my age have kids, my boyfriend and I just got our first animal together, we rescued a stray, and needless to say i'm surprising my family with family Christmas pictures of the three of us this year! Not professional but still family photos! I AM a crazy cat lady! Had to convince my boyfriend into it but he's down for anything!
