Not only did I get to go on a ton of fun adventures, I learned so much about myself and have grown tremendously as an individual. I even jumped into full time RV living!
In this video, I cover almost all of the things I did and places I visited in the last year:
San Francisco
Lassen National Park
Yosemite National Park
Pinnacles National Park
Santa Cruz
Monterey
Carmel-by-the-sea
Big Sur
Truckee
Lake Tahoe
The Big Island of Hawaii
Connecticut

Since filming this video, I have landed a new contract in Washington state and secured an RV spot for the Airstream! I will definitely be sharing my journey north with you guys, so stay tuned!

'Til next time! 😊✌️
Hey Sarah, retired CT/MR/PACS guy here. Loved the profession. I really liked what I did..and always wanted to travel but set down roots in So Fla.. . Good luck and happy trails!!
The good ole June Gloom in California
I find your content both amazing and engrossing! I have stumbled across your channel by accident and you deserve a million views for what you do. I work in TV full-time yet find your content so very well produced. I lost my wife last year and whilst I am financially secure and live in a beautiful house, for the last year I have always felt that something was missing. I have always admired Airstream from afar and fear your own invigorating and exciting content may have just tipped me over the edge and a may buy one, go touring in the UK and try to start rebuilding my own life and start to live my own personal dream. Thank you for steering me in the right direction and for enabling me even to contemplate this. You have made a real difference. BTW - she was a health care professional too...
Regards
Mark (UK)
The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco!
Im so happy I found your channel. I am also fulltime CT here in Miami Beach and always wondered about the travel gigs. Great videos!
Sarah, I had no idea you were a Florida Girl! I was born at St Joseph’s in Tampa! I actually live in Port Charlotte now (about 90 minutes to the south of Tampa). I spent 4 straight months in Tampa General Hospital from 2014-2015. You are quite the superwoman for leaving your home and traveling across the country alone to find work in a place you’ve never lived or been to before. Even more so for buying a camper, driving it, setting up camp, breaking down camp, and off to your next destination. 💕🤗🙏
" The coldest winter I ever spent was the summer I spent in San Fransisco" Mark Twain.
Sarah I got to say you’re a trooper !!!! Keep it coming, you are expiring so many young women to come over to our world. Our RV life world that is😎 it is easy for us guys to just go out and do this crazy stuff but Women have to be the more safer an alert! Love your Vlogs You and Rue stay safe 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Love the Re-cap! Now hopefully you show some of the Airstream improvements process next…
Splendiferous chronicle, well produced. Thanks for sharing, and we look forward to following your travels. Kudos for adopting RVlife in your honest and adventurous way.
I have not been in SF in over 30 years and want to go back but it sounds like not much has changed.
Great video and thanks for sharing. Safe travels.
#BOSSCHICA SoO proud of you Sarah! You are an aspiring young woman and you give me confidence to keep striving towards my goals (even at my age)! Keep moving forward 🤗🙏🏽
I lived in SF for awhile too & agree on the traffic, fog, crowds & crime. Alot of really neat places to visit around the Bay Area though but super spendy. Love your channel, safe travels & thanks for sharing your adventures! 👍❤🙏
Hello Smiley, have you been talking to Wilson The Soccer ball?
I so enjoyed learning more about your year and look forward to hearing about your future adventures. Kudos to you for mastering the tasks necessary to live happily in the "struggle bus"--no small feat!
Thanks for sharing your journey with us Sarah!
Im so happy i just found your channel! I have been a traveling Cardiac Sonographer for 5 years, and I am in the process of looking for a travel camper! I almost went to USF, I ended up here in Monterey instead! Lol! Good luck!
Hi! I just started following you and will have to catch up! I admire you soooo much. I retired from nursing last year but dang I would have totally loved what you are doing. Looking forward to enjoying your content.
Very well done packaging one year in 12 minutes. As far as rock climbing is concerned - get outside. Any time outside climbing is soooo much better than any gym Rockwell. I’m considering an Airstream so your videos are great to watch and very informative. Stay fearless, it’s really an admirable trait. Thank you for all the work involved in sharing.
Your enthusiasm is contagious. I will guess you were in Morgan Hill/Gilroy. Where did you get the wallpaper?
I was thinking the same thing, although I thought Hollister would where I worked would have been more of the sticks.
The world has changed since my youth. My children are younger than you. I spent 50 years as a natural resource manager, forest manager and landscape contractor. The option to have short term contracts was not an option for me. I was lucky because I loved what I did and worked to 68 years young. Now in retirement we live in the Central Oregon Cascade where everyone else comes to play. We take our RV to very remote locations in Central and Eastern Oregon. Life is good. Enjoy each day, we try. New to your channel Keep up the good work.
Great video! Looks like a great year! I love your airstream. Thanks for sharing.
Agree with you on San Francisco....where I left my heart...doo bee doo bee do
My wife is a CT supervisor here in S Florida & one of her travelers uses their travel trailer/camper as their home as they go from assignment to assignment. I mentioned your adventures & she said she’s finding quite a few travelers who do that as it makes it easier to afford housing.
Congratulations my dear, you and your dog are amazing.
Yet another great video. Always enjoyable to hear of your travels and adventures. Looking forward to your future vlogs. Thank you. As always, take the very best of care.
Agree about San Francisco’s weather and not driving in that city. I’ve driven there a couple of times from Napa where I’m on assignment now.
Goo for it you life only once so have fun as mutch as possible and see your lovely nice Country it has a lot to show, i love it when i dit in the 80s👍😅❤
I love your life. You have shown me that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Thank you for the great videos and the peeks into your exciting adventures. I can’t wait for your next video!
I’ve known a few people who did this as nurses and were always glad they did it. And they didn’t have the cool Airstream!
I think your channel is great! I'd watch a video about how you became a UA-camr. Not, like how-to, but why. I feel like maybe you studied film...
So this explains a lot. One of my Covid hobbies has been analyzing the id and ego of bloggers in travel blogs. And of course your profession requires acute observations of clients.
That is so awesome! 🙂🙂🙂 Did you get to see Alcatraz? I would love to see that. Will you always stay out west?
I sure did! There’s a funny bit about it in my Telegraph Hill video. I can’t see myself going back east. I love the mountains out here.
Awesome video! Very jealous of this lifestyle. My wife and I own an Airstream as well. Caravel 20FB. You mentioned some upgrades and cosmetic changes. Understanding you have a ton goin on, you should do a video on that! And let us know if you ever make it to Wisconsin!
I absolutely will at some point! Thanks Lann!
What an amazing year!
Awesome 👏
Great video and I have enjoyed your journeys!😀
Hi Sarah, I really enjoy following you and hearing about your adventures. I started traveling with a t@b trailer. My husband semi-retired this year, we have 2 dogs and like to hear where the good places are to take our fur babies. Also, my hubby is a radiologist in Redding CA. Maybe someday you will meet him!
Great video, sounds like you had a great first year ❤️
You make me miss the beauty of my home state🙂
Omg I love this! 😭
I was just thinking about how i can practice medicine and travel at the same time, a minute later i see this in my youtube feed. Lol
Dear "Nomad" 🙂 Keep being adventurous and following the path the universe is laying out for you! Safe travels and have fun in all your future endeavors! (PS: You also need to go on TikTok! You would be perfect for it)
Thank you so much, Woody!!! 🤗
Stay away from TikTok! Just read the privacy notice and you will be shocked. It allows access to all of your apps and much much more. Don’t believe me, just read it.
I am a travel tech too. MRI. Also with a pup. What is your tow vehicle? JGC V6? Or V8?!
I have the V6, max tow 6200 but you're at 4200lbs plus what you have inside. Have you weighed your trailer with everything in it? I'm worried you're stressing your jeep components way too much.
👍🏼
Great story……
We recently bought an Airstream and I discovered your videos. I too am a rad tech (mammo). I am considering the travel tech life after working 30 years for the government. What company do you use to find your assignments? Love your adventures!
Never stop. Always go forward. Keep exploring and enjoy. Oh did you get that TPMS yet?
Are you having trouble finding parking spots in RV parks?
Oh i do miss captions, be happy
Wow, working 10 hours days and getting an airstream set up by yourself you are pretty rad! It’s funny I clicked on your video just by chance, but I actually live in Santa Cruz and I have been to all the places you traveled :) I will be starting rad tech school next month. After I get my license will I be able to travel anywhere? I mean is there anything that needs to be done to be able to work in various different states?
Do you take the contract health insurance or pay for your own
I get my own private health insurance. That way I’m not tied down to one company and have the ability to take months off at a time if I choose to and maintain coverage. 😊
I'm so proud of you and I don't even know you LOL
if you are in a Lib state, your nuts.
I would def pass on ALL things cali. Been there, even worked there, won't be back. From someone who has worked in many states, even countries, as a consultant, there is so much better than cali. Hope you realize this and expand your horizons. Kudos to you making it thru that first year solo!
I had Mohs surgery at UCSF on Divisadero and my surgeon said he’d never switch to UCSF Mission Bay as commute from Sausalito would be horrendous. Why don’t you use Bay Bikes system to get around? I never take Muni here in City and County of San Francisco. Couldn’t imagine trying to park an airstream in the city as there’s property crime. There used to be a big settlement of campers in Mission Bay by Cal Train station. Did you meet any houseboat owners at Mission Creek? I used to row through there from SouthEnd Rowing Club in Aquatic Park and one of our members, Bob Isaacson, was an early member. It was a quasi legal community at the time and as is the case in SF as one stays here long enough it’s actually manageable from financial angle 📐.
