9:07 can confirm. Broke my GHK AKM's plastic hop yesterday due to a double feed. Didn't help that I put a W&S full travel kit with a stronger recoil spring in my AK so that bolt really really slammed the second BB into the hop.
i ve just bought last version of VFC HK416 A5, and it seems they fixed all known problems, no wobble, no "last bb" problem, magazines support cold, i just changed hop up system with the TNT one, and the HK is totally PERFECT !! =) thx fo video !
Thank you! I suppose this video is outdated now because they have fixed these problems. It’s likely to be GHK that would lose if I compared two brand new rifles fresh off the assembly line.
After months of deliberating, I went with the GHK mk18 largely based upon your reviews. I am so totally satisfied and glad for your reviews as there are no fields near me where I can get first hand user testimonials. The only quirk with mine being that the nozzle has ZERO springiness to it yet oddly the rifle fires great, despite the sticky nozzle. Thanks again for such thoughtful reviews
Thrilled to hear you’re enjoying your GHK. My nozzle doesn’t snap back with any enthusiasm either. That’s the thing with GHK and their double O Ring nozzles, you’ve got superb compression and that really helps it create positive shot to shot consistency. You’re very welcome. it is an already existing system with pretty much 2 newly added features (functionality wise): ambi bolt release and hop up adjustment. what can go wrong lol? yes and ambi mag release, guess that one does work
Only one I ever would is Tm mws variants then only 100% honest reviewer I know bought a mws right after release and has EMT had issues beyond the nozzle spring. If they release a ar10 Masada ak or scar gbb rifle on the ZET system ima be all over it as well as the fact TM rocks when it comes to quality control and customer service I honestly have not had a better experience with any other Licence I’ve had
for the U.S market, the GHK wins hands down since at least evike carries some oem parts or RA tech parts along with the gun making it through customs. VFC achiles heel as well as their selling point (for the u.s market) is that their products are 1:1. but VFC also does not provide any replacement OEM parts for their gun. Break down of gbbr (more towards m4ish) in the u.s GHK reason listed above, KWA available but is sold back VERY often, probably the most listed sales gbbr m4 over here. TM good performance but can't import into the U.S without an insane tax. Also gets sold or traded for a ghk when the mws first released. We tech overall a dodgy product, notoriously bad mags but can be fixed mostly with better o-rings and teflon tapes. OEM parts are plenty and cheaper solution than swapping everything with RA tech. Popular to use viper tech replacement parts and daytona donor body. VFC reason listed above G&P/KA for some reason does not do as well as ghk even though system is relatively the same. G&P also used as daytona donor.
@@peter11256 If it’s 200usd then it could be fun. If they’re still 400-500+ nah!! The latest gen VFC AR’s, particularly SR-16 and BCM would destroy a highly QC passed GHK.
@@peter11256 I’d avoid it like a car crash for 600notes! That BCM would be a wiser investment seeing as it has version 3 internals. The last improvement GHK made to their M4 recently was a harder 7075 recoil buffer which stops its slanted bolt carrier from deforming it. SMH.
I would say i like the GHK M4 more for three (personal) reasons: Nr1 is that its an M4, i like old school and as mentioned it's a lego gun, stocks, barrels, handguards, grips, etc. Nr2 is performance. I live in Sweden, so it gets pretty cold here. ´ Nr3 is the trades. I honestly like that the trades are engraved on the GHK instead of being painted on.
I just want it to say, thank you so much of you spending so much time looking into two different M4 plateform and get down to the very detial of the review, for me I feel more comfortable of spending money to decide it which brand I would rather choose, I actually like both the VFC and GHK, but, I always feel the GHK are much more pioneer better built gun and robust than the WE Tech and VFC made, it a great help from you getting through this review! I hope you will do more of this on youtube! Thank you so much!
BadaBing, the only issue I have is that the finish on the m4, while overdone and excessive, is still fairly accurate to the real steel. The older rifles will eventually get that shiny finish after all the CLP applications and grease from your skin.
Hi, I am the owner of an HK416A5 GBB from Umarex. Really, I can't say "proud owner" from the start. This rifle gave nothing but trouble, far worse than you can imagine. I had to change the buffer tube to a real steal one and together with a magpul stock. since the Airsoft one did not fit on the new buffer. I had the firing pin spring changed three times, ok, twice it was the airsoft technician's fault who failed to identify the type of spring used. I had found two hairline cracks in the Bolt, which had to be welded. In other words and to sum up the story, I had this for nearly two years and this rifle spent more time for repairs than in my possession. Yes, just like you said, it is a disgrace for VFC and Umarex. I had saved for this gun and saved hard, only to get this
I never heard of ASMR until you mentioned it. Weird. Absolutely not my intention. I’m just so chill when I sit down to record my voiceovers. With a cup of coffee of course. lol That’s probably what it is. Thanks for watching.
Honestly this video of mine isn’t accurate with the times. VFC have resolved the problems reported here and have gone beyond them by improving it to the 3rd generation/version. It would likely destroy the GHK now.
Thanks for the reply! I’m watching your channel for some years now. Your videos made me love the gbbr world. I think I’m going to buy this gen3 hk416. Thanks for the good content and advice!
GHK just dropped an updated version 2 with improved colt markings. Although I am a mws guy myself, gotta give props to them listening to customer feedbacks.
I have the version2 GHK Colt marked M4 in this video. I love the MWS too and I think it’s better than the V1, but the V2...Hmmm, now the unstoppable force has truly met an immovable object.
I wonder how updated version 2 finish compares to the current one. Following BadaBing's reviews, I started to think about getting GHK M4 V2... And according to those reviews, current coating, while not pretty, is very durable. If the new one is pretty but as thin and thus as scratchy as VFC HK416A5, then nooo.... keep the current ugly coating please :-). I wonder if anyone had a chance to see the new coating and finish and tell what it's like?
man i remember watching this when i had to pick betwen both. was gone go ghk but the seller sold it off as i was going to. so got the 416. and thank good all the problems got fixed
Good review. To add: Even the Asia Versions of the VFC HK416A5 has barrel wobble issues as well as accuracy issues to do with the hop up. and outer barrel alignment so no the product isn't polished yet. However, after some minor work, the 416A5 can be a very high performing rifle, even so far as improving its cold weather performance issues.
The Asia versions of the A5 does have a positive bolt lock though. But yes, VFC has a pretty consistent track record for being less than perfect. Still, I am not one to jump onto the GHK M4 bandwagon.
Outstanding review, I came across it while looking for something to use as a training platform. For what it’s worth on the GHK, real M4/AR15s have that slight wobble between the upper and lower, but you could probably install an Accuwedge to tighten that up. The stock wobble is also pretty typical.
Thank you, kind sir. I suppose they got that aspect right! Yep, I’d invest in a Accuwedge but it doesn’t really bother me. Although some folks like to run a tight ship and I can’t blame them for that. GHK would be a fine choice for the price if you’re after a training rifle. 👍
surely the best way the test accuracy of guns is to clamp it down in one position and fire at the target to check grouping, to remove any element of human error.
Kind of goes without saying, no? The best way to test the accuracy would be to clamp the rifle down and perform the test at an indoor range to remove every possible element, but I have to work with what I’ve got.
So we beta tested their product and don't even provide new parts(emailing them is a PITA). That was the last time I ever bought a first version VFC. Also when I made a slowmotion recording of the bolt catch I can see it going up but then almost immediatelly go down like it's on a spring. :P
I thought I’d be safe with the 416A5 seeing as their AR’s have been the oldest and most improved upon out of their entire catalogue of GBBR’s. I was wrong lol. It’s okay though as they’ve fixed it now. I think I’ll give their G3 a miss and let someone else work out the kinks for them. ;-)
I don't thank you SIR !!! Before this video, my barrel was not wobbly, and now it is! That is sorcery!! :) Well, I'll update my review with the new pieces of info you've brought, because it is indeed quite a shame that VFC doesn't propose the new parts to European customers who've been using this replica for a year now and reported multiple problems...
Lol. Wow! If your hop up breaks, it is *not* my fault! ;-) Yes, please update. The new version hop up has been sent. If you require photos of it, let me know.
I’ve been ignored too! Their process for ordering spare parts really stinks. I keep bombarding them with emails and eventually I will get a reply. Good luck!
It is the reason I no longer own the HK416A5. Although they are great collectors pieces. Thanks for watching, you can expect to see the Tokyo Marui M4 MWS vs VFC HK416A5 video within a week or two. :-)
If you buy one new from a shop you're more likely get one that no longer has those issues. Although there's really no telling what you get by the time you have it in yours hands.
4:00 I want to buy a barrel shake stabilization part. Did you make this with 3d printing?? If it is 3d printed, I want the file. If you can solve this, you are my savior.
That part was sent to me as a gift many years ago. That individual used to make small batches of parts like this but I don’t think he’s into airsoft anymore.
Certainly looks great, shame their surface coating is so weak. The known issues have been rectified by many accounts. You can usually tell the difference between Asian and Export versions by the markings, the Asian editions have the complete trademarking's with Proof Markings and such. Compare images you find on sites like WGC Shop to the rifle I have here, you should see the difference.
Bro, the vfc ar has a buffer spring and the buffer is too heavy so propane in cold weather won't have enough power to get a good kick. You can replace the ghk buffer and spring in the vfc so it kicks better in cold weather
Indeed it does. Sure, I could have swapped over the lighter GHK parts and it would have likely been more favourable for the 416, but I had to present the rifles in their original conditions so it best illustrates their capabilities.
@@BadaBingPictures Yes, sure. But, do you intend to download one of the new vfc gbbrs like Kac Sr16 or BCM MCMR. I have used BCM and consider it the biggest competitor of Tm. Looks like you've been posting less AR gbbr videos lately
I haven’t posted an AR video in ages, you’re right. These videos with the 416A5 are out of date at this point, so I should look into it…although I’m not really interested in their SR-16, and I don’t like the BCM M4’s. I am currently looking to invest in a Viper Tech, sadly they are very expensive and very difficult to get. Taiwan still aren’t shipping to the U.K.
@@BadaBingPictures I think mws is more than enough for the game, a gun costing $1500 and $200 shipping doesn't seem unreasonable. If you really want something different, you can buy Hao hk416a5 mws kit instead of viper tech
I just had to flick through the video as I had forgotten. The rifle bag I think you’re referring to is an H&K Type 1 case and it’s not available anymore. It was made in limited numbers for a police/military contract (or so I’m led to believe), I was lucky enough to get given it as a Xmas present when the remaining units were made commercially available. The jacket is the Helikon Gunfighter. It’s a softshell and it’s very good! Plate carrier is the LBT 6094a in mass grey. Very expensive piece of kit, but the finishing wasn’t very good. Frayed stitching and such. I sold it about a year ago.
Hey Bing, you should try and pick up the GM MWS 416A5. It should be a great great replica to pick up. For this video, GHK wins in my book aswell and will always win from VFC, imo!
Hi Andy, I’ve looked at it. Maybe some day. Although for the TM system, I have the original anyway…so not much reason to buy something in a different shell. I’m quite enjoying my VFC HK416D V3 at the moment. Such a nice rifle. Perhaps it’s time to put the GHK back in the ring.
@@BadaBingPictures Couldn't agree with you more. However, GM has mostly steel internals in it. And the GM 416 even has better markings then the VFC version. And it's cheap to get! I've recently started to go towards TM, because it's just that good! Throwing out of all my VFC's. But GHK is still calling out and I want to answer its call once more. Because it's my 1st brand of GBBR I have bought.
It’s been a few years since I watched the original seasons but it does get intriguing the more you watch it. Leaving you on a cliffhanger at the end of each episode. The recent series though....I just couldn’t get into. Too bizarre and too ‘David Lynch’ for my taste.
Why do they not make the magazines take more BBs? Obviously the gas is enough for a lot more. They could just make it like the TM mags that can choose between real capacity and like 80 BBs. I have a lot of 80 bb mags for my TM Sig 552 and even though you have to reload more often than people with AK "midcaps" that have 200 BBs, you are not at that big of a disadvantage. I get the realism argument, but as said, you could always just load them with 30 bbs if that's your jam.
Unfortunately I cannot. I have sold the 416A5, and I won’t be buying their V2 416. As far as I can tell the internals are identical. The 416 V2 now has a similar hop up adjustment as the A5. Apart from that the A5 only differs when it comes to its external features.
They can be inserted into each others mag wells but not immediately operational. The output valves are longer on the GHK magazines, and the VFC striker light strikes the valve.
@@TheMonsieurSalty That’s right. I was going to modify this 416 to only use my GHK mags by filing the striker, but I eventually sold it. The latest VFC mags are excellent, so I’m told. So probably not worth the trouble now.
Hey! You have read my mind. I was going to create the review of the GHK AKM, seems a little overdue seeing as I’ve had it since 2013. Spoiler: It’s great 😁
BadaBingPictures Haha amazing yeah I’d love to see a review. I can only find 1 online for sale here in the UK & it’s around £415 which is a lot of investment but I’m willing to pay it.. I’m just on the edge if to bite the bullet lol
It *is* a lot. Especially if it’s one of your more larger purchases in Airsoft, but I’d happily throw them that amount again for the AK74M. As I have had it for so long I’ll outline the rifles history and things you’d likely experience when using it.
BadaBingPictures I actually want to get a couple of AK’s. One the GHK AKM & leave it mostly stock. I really like that classic AK look & I want to keep it as a collectors piece & use it occasionally. I then want to get another AK possibly a E&L AK AEG & have it as another tactical rifle for games. I do also have a soft stop for the AK74u so I might have to get one of those later down the road as well lol. I do enjoy collecting & having the display wall 😁 wish I had more free time to Milsim
A friend of mine made a barrel stabiliser which locked the barrel using a piece of aluminium that followed the internal contours inside the rail. So luckily I didn’t need to look for a solution.
Around 10° should see it operate alright as long as you’re keeping the magazines warm, as well as the gas bottle. That’s probably the most important thing, ensuring the gas bottle is warmer than the magazine for the best gas charging conditions. This is with a strong green gas/propane. You can go down as far as 5° or just below with black gas. Again, with proper management.
oh god, my two favourite airsoft rifles of all time. not making it up. 2-VFC HK M416 GBBR 1-GHK M4A1 GBBR 3-HK USP GBB (of course the pistol gets 3rd place) edit: i changed mind, the carbine is better suited for me. i dont want to fiddle with repairs.
Hi badabing that's a great review! Saw your video earlier about struggling on bolt lock issue and I'm just glad you sold it. It's definitely not a keeper. I don't have any bolt lock failure on my asia version so far(realeased on 2018/3/21 in Taiwan) But I do have one major problem on my 416a5 and that's the steel nozzle guide keeps breaking from the bolt carrier, and there's nothing I can do to fix it but to change the whole bolt carrier(so far on my third one) I'm just curious that have you ever had the same problem as I am? Although I hate VFC's quality and performance but I just can't resist the look of it...
Thanks dude! I was lucky to find a buyer for it. He’s more of a collector than a gamer so it’s win-win all round. I’ve just received and sent him the new version Hop up chamber, so he can use it properly. That’s a let down. My nozzle guide was perfectly fine. Sorry to hear of your troubles. Yes. They do look amazing, but do not fall for it! Buy with your brain, not your heart. 😉
I received this from a user in Germany that made it himself. He used to produce upgrade parts like steel buffers for the VFC Hk417 and springs, although in limited numbers. I haven't heard from him in a few years so I don't think he's into airsoft anymore.
@@BadaBingPictures Today I received my HK416 A5 - no wobbling, nothing loose, everything is really tight even the barrel :), and seems to be "upgraded". For me it feels as VFC has listened to all the reviews and fixed the issues. Surprisingly my HK416A5 trigger is very stiff.
That’s a Heckler & Koch padded rifle case. As I understand it was a limited run of these. You may be able to still find them on the HK website, or eBay..
@@BadaBingPictures thanks man. Keep up the great work. I can't stoop watching all your videos! Learning lots and can't wait to get my first GBBR. Thanks for all your help!
If vfc or preferably another company makes an a5 thats co2 ready I would totally buy that (if its actually tested and reliable). Not sure if it's possible but it would be awesome if a dual bulb magazine could be designed like vfc has done with their g36 magazines, altho I've never a performance video anywhere.. Even better would be a devil hunter designed magazine! Can't believe no company has done this yet, must be a safety issues but heck.. they could make the reservoir a little smaller to use thicker materials or 50 round stanags or drum mags, just as long as it holds more gas than a single co2 bulb.. The gbb world really needs some innovation, especially to make it more reliable in colder weather without the need of hoses and tanks..
Agreed! Someone needs to step up and show em how it’s done. What I’d love, although it’s a very expensive proposition, is for a manufacturer to produce kits for an existing GBB system, like GHK for example. It would be so amazingly awesome if these kits could be provided so that all one would need is to simply purchase stock GHK spares to drop into the new rifle pack. So you can have the HK416A5 kit, along with other variants of the 416. Also other AR-15 types. Knights Armament SR-15/16, BCM, Daniel Defense etc... One brand gas system, many alternative builds.
Oh yea, thats an awesome idea! But the hobby would even get more expensive haha! collecting all these body kits and using the excuse it's cheaper than a new rifle :D
is the GHK M4 compatible with real steel parts? Considering between a PTS Radian Model 1 GBBR and a GHK M4 (mostly because i have 5 GHK G5 Mags) Thanks
It has some compatibility with real parts but some aren’t directly drop in fit. Charging handles for example may need some sanding down on the front of the carrier interface. There is a video on YT that explains the compatibilities.
This is a bit old, but if the GHK m4 has an AEG type barrel, what would be a good barrel to go with the TNT hopup upgrade? i know they sell a kit with a barrel, but is that better than getting a barrel separately?
The tnt kit is quite excellent. While the version I had for the review I made (also on my channel), featured a harder bucking for higher fps builds, softer buckings are also available to cater for the lower fps ones. On the other hand if you require a lower fps due to your countries regs, it may be worth looking elsewhere. As TNT supply a tight bore inner barrel, this will naturally increase fps and you would have to tailor your output using an adjustable nozzle/1j/low flow. So if you already have a lower output nozzle in your rifle to reduce the fps, it’ll require even more reduction with a TNT kit installed. In my experience this tended to kill off the efficiency of the system because so much gas flow had to be reduced with the adjustable nozzle. Alternative chambers are available so you can choose the combination that will suit you best if the TNT isn’t to your requirements.
Thanks! They won’t have the same issues that I’ve had. Barrel wobble, bolt lock and hop up chamber should be fine. But I don’t have one of their M4’s to see for myself, so I can’t comment specifically.
Never thought about doing it, no. I did think about having a DD FSP rail. But it’s too much faffing around, what with sourcing parts and such. I’d probably find myself back where I started. Plain Jane M4 SOPMOD, lol. Bit of a traditionalist if I’m honest.
Thanks, mate. They still haven’t managed to find their way to uk shores. Best course of action would be to find one in the EU. Try FG Airsoft, or submit an advanced google search and select a specific region for a finely tuned search. (My googlefu is strong!) Or go with Samoon/HK retailer.
Is that a standard Magpul floor plate on your GHK mag? If so, did you have to do anything to get it to fit and stay secure on the base since there's no spring tension to keep it in place like on a real steel mag?
Yep, a plain old ranger plate. It took a little fiddling to fit but the tabs on the magazine keep it from sliding off and it’ll take quite a bit of effort to pull off.
Hey BadaBing, I know people have made it happen before but have you considered making your VFC work with GHK mags somehow? Any chance for a video on what it entails to do so?
Hi! The GBB Archives has a video showing how to modify the GHK mags for the VFC system. You either have to file the release valve on the GHK magazine or file a few millimetres off the VFC striker. As they are the GHK magazine release valve is too long and the VFC cannot connect effectively. That’s basically it. I don’t own the VFC HK416A5 anymore. I sold it several months ago, so I cannot make any new videos featuring it.
Yeah I definitely remember seeing that video but I can't for the life of me find it anymore, think he might have deleted it. You still got your TM and GHK combo? Or just the GHK now?
Never ever hear anybody comparing WE... Always GHK, TM, or VFC...starting to get the impression nobody likes or uses WE? Gets awesome reviews from die hard fans....then gets torn apart by what I perceive to knowledgeable GBBR owners. @badabing is a true voice I trust right Now! (With obvious good reason) and even I have noticed I don't see any WE products being reviewed ever. I'm buying my first GBBR this year and have my sights set on the hk416. In love with it and am certain that's the model I like.... just don't know which maker to choose? I prefer realism, and don't mind paying extra$$$ for good PERFORMANCE & CONSISTENCY....dont wanna pay extra $$ if the WE dos the same for 500 what a VFC does for 670?.... Lol sorry for all the questions. I am a "noob"🤓
I actually quite like WE. Just for one reason or another their catalogue of products doesn’t really appeal to me. However, when they release their GBB G3...I’ll be ALL over that!!! Their GBB MP5 (Apache) is a wonderful performer. I’ve done a few videos on that particular Sub-Gun and I’ve put a lot of bbs through the pipe. Mostly in Fully Auto too! I’ve owned their M16 in the past and it was fine, however it wasn’t very good during cold weather. Same with the 416 that I owned for a short while. Even their CO2 mags weren’t all that helpful. Their internals aren’t very tough, and when they break I simply replaced them with original WE parts, instead of buying more expensive upgrades. I found they ran a lot better using stock internals than with steel upgrade parts. Their AR-15 line would really benefit from an overhaul to keep up with the competition. I’d like to take a look at more WE stuff, but buying these toy guns to review gets very expensive!
@@BadaBingPictures thanks for the advice man. Tbh. I can't even believe I'm talking to the badabing lol. Advice from the best. Thanks man. Keep up the amazing videos!
That stock is something that’s been in my parts bin for over 10 years. I can’t actually remember how it came into my possession. I prefer it to the one that came with the M4 originally. It’s simple, comfortable and light.
I bought one for a gun build I'm working on but it's a cheap piece of ABS crap, the one you've got looks like it's made of a decent plastic. Guess I'll need to shop around.
It’s not available unfortunately. I think the guy that made it no longer produces them, nor any other parts. Your best option would be to have one 3D printed.

@@BadaBingPictures Hey there, do you think it's still risky to buy a GHK M4A1 (Evike) ?
@@peter11256 If it’s 200usd then it could be fun. If they’re still 400-500+ nah!! The latest gen VFC AR’s, particularly SR-16 and BCM would destroy a highly QC passed GHK.
@@BadaBingPictures Wow really ? They are actually in the 600 mark, even more expensive then the BCM.
SMH.
I would say i like the GHK M4 more for three (personal) reasons:
Nr1 is that its an M4, i like old school and as mentioned it's a lego gun, stocks, barrels, handguards, grips, etc.
Nr2 is performance. I live in Sweden, so it gets pretty cold here. ´
Nr3 is the trades.
You are very welcome, I am glad you are benefitting from the information I'm putting out.
Thanks for watching
HK416A5 can use GHK M4 CO2gas magazine.
But customized a little GHK magazine.
I’m sorry i can’t speak English well.
Informative and entertaining! Now Im saving up for a GHK M4. Cold weather won't be a problem here in my country.
BadaBing, the only issue I have is that the finish on the m4, while overdone and excessive, is still fairly accurate to the real steel. The older rifles will eventually get that shiny finish after all the CLP applications and grease from your skin.
Finally the comparison videos are here people!!!!!
Amazing video. Couldnt have asked for a better video. The detail was great!
Thanks, Steven.
Glad you got some good info from it.
I love the fact that you are giving it your all. Keep it up but take care of yourself. Cheers mate.
Thanks man, I appreciate it!
Hope you enjoyed the vid.
I just ordered the Colt licensed GHK M4 cqb here in the US and am even more excited for it after having watched this video.
You’re in for a treat!
Enjoy your new blaster my friend, whenever it gets to you in these crazy days. 😷
I'm about to order aswell!
Very pumped.
How often does ghk update the m4a1?
I had saved for this gun and saved hard, only to get this
Bought a used VFC HK416, the barrel does not wobble a single bit. Even after a month, its great. Without that white thing he put in there.
Please do review ASMR my friend-
Your voice and honest reviews are perfect quality.
I never heard of ASMR until you mentioned it. Weird.
Absolutely not my intention. I’m just so chill when I sit down to record my voiceovers. With a cup of coffee of course. lol
That’s probably what it is.
Thanks for watching.
Haha no problem, yeah it would be funny as a joke video XD
Keep up the reviews man :D
I canceled my KWA HK416D and ordered the 12,5 Colt M4 :-) thank you
well, actually. I canceled that too and ordered the Tokyo Marui M4A1 MWS :D
You were going to be happy with either rifle to be honest, the TM M4 MWS is awesome. You’ll love it!
Think so...but TM is TM...and TM is magic... :D
I’d choose the VFC for realism and trigger feel.
Always press the upper and lower receiver together when removing the take down pins. This will prevent your finger nails from ripping out 🙋🏻♂️
I've seen this review dozens of times, still sometimes I play it when I work or as a background cuz of nice music and BBing's great voice
I've often wondered who keeps watching these, haha. Good to see you in the comments again.
Wow, views are doing well!
where do you get pmags for the ghk m4? awesome video!
Samoon. It’s one of GHK’s main distributors.
Or anywhere that stocks their M4 or products.
Thanks man 👍
0:38 i thought you were shooting without a mag i was like howww lollll, mag blended in with your sweater
I've come to just expect snow in all of your videos!
I don’t get a lot of snow where I am, but when I do...I try to get as much filming in that weather as I can.
So the ghk is the goal. Durability 🤘
Honestly this video of mine isn’t accurate with the times. VFC have resolved the problems reported here and have gone beyond them by improving it to the 3rd generation/version.
It would likely destroy the GHK now.
So I heard that, VFC is releasing their HK416 gen 3 this August… 😬
Yep. They have a couple of improvements. Mostly bringing it up to speed with their BCM M4.
@@BadaBingPictures any idea where to find info/specs about it? Looked on the web but couldn’t find anything. Not even on their own website.
Proact Action Airsoft Online 👍

When did the ghk v2 colt trademarked get released? I'm about to buy one and just wondering how often they update it..
man i remember watching this when i had to pick betwen both. was gone go ghk but the seller sold it off as i was going to. so got the 416. and thank good all the problems got fixed
It’s great they addressed those issues. I hear they’re very good now.
Might have to return with a new V3 and remake these vids.
@@BadaBingPictures would be a great idea should get those gen 3 m4 mags for it
Another great review! Leaning towards purchasing a GHK M4.
Welcome back!
I’m still really digging mine. It does the job just nicely.
Well well well, I heard from some people saying that they fixed the A5 for their home market.
I can’t say I’m surprised.
If ur real ar-15 has a wobble between the upper and lower receiver there's a detent screw that you NEED to tighten. It should not be noticable 😭😂
Great review, good job. Thinking of buying the vfc. Thx bro. Grtz from Belgium Antwerp
I wonder if the HK still has the same problems
surely the best way the test accuracy of guns is to clamp it down in one position and fire at the target to check grouping, to remove any element of human error.
Kind of goes without saying, no?
The best way to test the accuracy would be to clamp the rifle down and perform the test at an indoor range to remove every possible element, but I have to work with what I’ve got.
@BadaBingPictures - you should get the Geissele SMR handguard for the VFC 416! The MK1 would also look great on the m4
I think I’ll give their G3 a miss and let someone else work out the kinks for them. ;-)
Nicely done.
Professional.

I don't thank you SIR !!! Before this video, my barrel was not wobbly, and now it is! That is sorcery!! :)
Well, I'll update my review with the new pieces of info you've brought, because it is indeed quite a shame that VFC doesn't propose the new parts to European customers who've been using this replica for a year now and reported multiple problems...
Lol. Wow!
If your hop up breaks, it is *not* my fault! ;-)
Yes, please update. The new version hop up has been sent. If you require photos of it, let me know.
Will do, but I think I'll try to find how to contact VFC and ask them for upgraded parts. They may ignore me though ^^
I’ve been ignored too!
Their process for ordering spare parts really stinks.
I keep bombarding them with emails and eventually I will get a reply.
Good luck!
VFC HK416A5 looks better than GHK M4A1 ver.2.
But GHK M4A1 works better.
Your video was fun.
I look forward to your next video.
It is the reason I no longer own the HK416A5. Although they are great collectors pieces.

The movement on the upper of the m4 is accurate to the real ones
How do i know if i bought the latest vfc version without the wobbly barrel?
If you buy one new from a shop you're more likely get one that no longer has those issues. Although there's really no telling what you get by the time you have it in yours hands.

That individual used to make small batches of parts like this but I don’t think he’s into airsoft anymore.
@@BadaBingPictures thx reply
The looks of the HK are just amazing. Any clue whether the issues have been solved by now & how I can recognize the upgraded Asia series?

As usual an awesome vid, hats off to you my good sir, any plans on comparing MWS to GHK?

Yes of course. The MWS will go up against the V2 GHK M4 in a future video.
BadaBingPictures awesome can’t wait, and once again thank you for a vid
Where do you get your gear? I dig the jacket, plate carrier, and gun bag!
Hi Andy,
I’ve looked at it.

Twin Peaks was great 😁☕️
BadaBingPictures tried to get into it, gf didn’t like the slow burn. Does it pick up?
It’s been a few years since I watched the original seasons but it does get intriguing the more you watch it. Leaving you on a cliffhanger at the end of each episode.
The recent series though....I just couldn’t get into. Too bizarre and too ‘David Lynch’ for my taste.
Could you ask your friend to just make a 3D file stl for the barrel stabilizer?
I’m afraid I haven’t heard from him in years. I don’t think he’s into Airsoft anymore. Sorry.
Absolutely great review!!
Thank you!
It’s not too bad, right.
👍
Can you make a video on the compatibility of the VFC 416 V.2 and 416A5 on both external and internal?
Unfortunately I cannot.
I have sold the 416A5, and I won’t be buying their V2 416. As far as I can tell the internals are identical.
The 416 V2 now has a similar hop up adjustment as the A5. Apart from that the A5 only differs when it comes to its external features.
Are the magazines interchangeable between these two? considering they're both Western Arms copies.
They can be inserted into each others mag wells but not immediately operational.
The output valves are longer on the GHK magazines, and the VFC striker light strikes the valve.
@@BadaBingPictures Thank you for the reply!
So I need to either make adjustments to the valve stems or the VFC striker to make it operational?
@@TheMonsieurSalty That’s right. I was going to modify this 416 to only use my GHK mags by filing the striker, but I eventually sold it.
The latest VFC mags are excellent, so I’m told. So probably not worth the trouble now.
Excellent video! Now I want a GHK M4 so bad, despite loving VFCs and their externals.
Thanks!
They are very good rifles. Buy one 😉
Hey do you know where I could get that barrel stabalizer for the hk 416?
This was custom made several years ago. I don’t think the individual that made it is into airsoft anymore.

Can you please do a review on the GHK AKM.. I really want to buy one but I’d like to hear your opinion on it first 😀👍🏼
Hey!
You have read my mind. I was going to create the review of the GHK AKM, seems a little overdue seeing as I’ve had it since 2013.
Spoiler:
It’s great 😁
BadaBingPictures Haha amazing yeah I’d love to see a review.
BadaBingPictures sounds awesome mate, can’t wait for the video 😁👍🏼
BadaBingPictures I actually want to get a couple of AK’s. One the GHK AKM & leave it mostly stock. I really like that classic AK look & I want to keep it as a collectors piece & use it occasionally. I then want to get another AK possibly a E&L AK AEG & have it as another tactical rifle for games. I do also have a soft stop for the AK74u so I might have to get one of those later down the road as well lol. I do enjoy collecting & having the display wall 😁 wish I had more free time to Milsim
Have you tried paper cushions or thin circular metal plates in vfc hk416a5 handguard adapter? I think this can prevent the gun barrel from swaying
A friend of mine made a barrel stabiliser which locked the barrel using a piece of aluminium that followed the internal contours inside the rail. So luckily I didn’t need to look for a solution.
So what is the minimum temperature you can deal properly with the HK 416a5 ?
Around 10° should see it operate alright as long as you’re keeping the magazines warm, as well as the gas bottle. That’s probably the most important thing, ensuring the gas bottle is warmer than the magazine for the best gas charging conditions. This is with a strong green gas/propane.
You can go down as far as 5° or just below with black gas. Again, with proper management.
@@BadaBingPictures thx. Very kind of you. would you still recommend the weapon? Or would you prefer other gbbs for around 500€ ?
Their HK416A5’s have been improved, so the issues I experienced all those years ago are now gone. If you want one, go for it. 👍
@@BadaBingPictures thx. So would you prefer it over the GHK AUG 2 ?
I’m more curious about the AUG, but that’s mainly because I never owned one before.

Customized barrel stabilizer... at 04:10 looks pretty cool. Any Idea where to get this in Germany? thx and really good video!
I received this from a user in Germany that made it himself. He used to produce upgrade parts like steel buffers for the VFC Hk417 and springs, although in limited numbers. I haven't heard from him in a few years so I don't think he's into airsoft anymore.

@badabingpictures what rifle case is shown at 1:34 ? (Holding the rifle and sidearm?)
Considering between a PTS Radian Model 1 GBBR and a GHK M4 (mostly because i have 5 GHK G5 Mags)
Thanks
It has some compatibility with real parts but some aren’t directly drop in fit. Charging handles for example may need some sanding down on the front of the carrier interface.
There is a video on YT that explains the compatibilities.
@@BadaBingPictures Thanks! appreciate the advice
I really want to see how much improvement the TNT hop up and it's a pity that the European version has these flaws
Great review mate. Do you think the VFC GBB M4s will have the same issues as the 416?
Thanks!
They won’t have the same issues that I’ve had. Barrel wobble, bolt lock and hop up chamber should be fine.
But I don’t have one of their M4’s to see for myself, so I can’t comment specifically.
For these GBBRs, can I swap out with mil spec parts such as charging handle, trigger, pistol grip and stock?
Pistol grip and stock, yes. Charging handle requires some fine modifications and I’m not sure on the real rail system.
Do you have a 3D Model for the Outerbarrel holder ?
Italia
Have you thought about converting the GHK M4 to a L119A2 for a different look to it?
Never thought about doing it, no. I did think about having a DD FSP rail.
But it’s too much faffing around, what with sourcing parts and such.
I’d probably find myself back where I started. Plain Jane M4 SOPMOD, lol.
Bit of a traditionalist if I’m honest.
Which one should I choose?!
I got them both! 😁🥰
Another great review, cements my wishlist to pick one up to complement my G5 but struggling to find it in stock about the UK. Any tips?
Thanks, mate.
They still haven’t managed to find their way to uk shores.
Best course of action would be to find one in the EU. Try FG Airsoft, or submit an advanced google search and select a specific region for a finely tuned search. (My googlefu is strong!)
Or go with Samoon/HK retailer.
Cool, thanks. Been thinking about picking some up but was never sure if they'd work or not. Good to know
Thank you for the comparison!
Do you know if GHK bolts are compatible with G&P/WA GBBR systems?
Thanks.
I don’t believe they are compatible. Certain things can be exchanged over but things such as bolt carriers may be out of spec.
You know real steel barrel nut shims should take care of the barrel wobble
I still have the TM and GHK. Can’t let go of those babies! Best M4 GBBR’s in my opinion.
awesome review, good job!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it.
You're welcome, bro.
The best? Not sure about that one, I have my moments..sure. lol.
Thanks for watching my little vids. :-D
Is the hk416 gen 2 gbbr asia edition fps adjustable? Is it improved unlike the older version like the one in this video? Thanks.
I heard the new VFC A5 fixed most the issues
Dude what kind of thumb is that! It looks.. Alien
I bought the ghk mk18 and was wondering what other mags from other companies are compatible with the gun?
You might be able to modify WA spec M4 mags like G&P’s but that would be a serious downgrade. Stick to original GHK’s, they are the ultimate choice.
@@BadaBingPictures thanks for the reply. Unfortunately im having a real hard time finding any ghk mags in stock lol.
Try looking in Asia, bound to find them there.
Is the M733 stock on your GHK M4 standard or did you purchase it aftermarket?
That stock is something that’s been in my parts bin for over 10 years. I can’t actually remember how it came into my possession.
I prefer it to the one that came with the M4 originally. It’s simple, comfortable and light.
I bought one for a gun build I'm working on but it's a cheap piece of ABS crap, the one you've got looks like it's made of a decent plastic. Guess I'll need to shop around.
Sorry I cannot recall the brand, it may have been classic army...but I’m not 100% on that. Sure isn’t a TM.
I've found one on HopUp and you can also get them off most gun sites for 30 bucks or less. searching Car stock might help you out.
"lets warm the up between my legs"
he's secretly a chicken.
is the custom barrel stabilizer available ?
And if, can I buy it somewhere?
Cheers
It’s not available unfortunately. I think the guy that made it no longer produces them, nor any other parts. Your best option would be to have one 3D printed.
Would it be possible to get the trigger feel of the VFC in the GHK?
