This is even more amazing in person!!! The Alabama Theater is a beautiful place! Immaculate! and, hearing the organ in person gives me chills every time! :D
The Wurlitzer (s) were "king of instruments" as this excellent video demonstrates.. Thank you for such a fine sounding audio recording! Paul, Spokane WA
The perfect console upper - Cabaret. The delivery here is perfect in showcasing the instrument and alternately building tension and release. I particularly like the theatricality of the arrangement as the console comes up from the pit. I Hope you're Alabamy Bound more often! Great post.
Justin--really fine job on a really fine Wurlitzer (I'm real partial to this one!). You are a top-flight muscian and bring out all the best "Bertha" has to offer!
Dunno if you guys gives a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last few weeks :)
@shorttim77 Thanks so much. There is another video of me playing at the Warren Performing Arts Center but it's more dated. It's the same song, but I've since began theatre organ lessons and gave this song "the treatment." Thanks for watching.
My goodness! What an intro! (All of the playing is superb of course, just not a chance in hell of anyone staying asleep during the first few notes :-) )
An amazing instrument, tonally and visually. Its sister in Brooklyn has a more spectacular acoustic to speak into but otherwise I'm not sure there's much to choose between them based on the recordings I've heard. This console is also just as spectacular as Brooklyn's widely-copied one - why hasn't anyone copied this astonishing design?
All fine and dandy, but why doesn't anyone push the limits of such a great machine into the 21 century??? Sounds like a bunch of old music to just make gray hairs smile... jus sayin...
I love this organ and this theater! Thank you, Paramount, for building all this here! And thank you, Birmingham, for saving this palace!!!
Justin, another song played by you and you are a professional by all means. Cabaret is one of my very favorites. (CA)
What a gorgeous talented man
I've heard this instrument in person. It is a thrilling experience.
From an old-movie-key-banger....GREAT PLAYING. I hope to see alot more of you.

That’s the best Grand Entrance I ever heard !! 👏👌🙋♂️🇦🇺
Wonderful sounds, Justin. Please post more videos. Keep it up! Best wishes from England.

DETROIT !
A fine, stylish rendering of this piece on the mighty wurlitzer. Well done Justin.
What a great organists. Thank you for posting this.
Wonderful arrangement

Another great performance! Waiting for many more!
Great job! Nice performance on a beautiful organ.

Another example of why these beauties need to be declared national treasures.

@Kamari Marley yup, been watching on instaflixxer for years myself :)
Nothing short of superb!
Delightful!
Superlative with very good interesting video
I am so glad this organ is featured in the 2013 convention next year because from where I set in Indianapolis, that organ sounds choice.

Wonderful job on a gorgeous instrument!
If there is anything more beautiful and American than a big Wurly played by a professional, I know not what it is.....
Great Job!!!
Awesome job man! Those thunderous chords on the intro were outstanding. Keep it up!
Great playing, great registrations, great instrument!
Y'know, this is a great piece of music, very well played. And it just doesn't sound right without a roar of applause at the end!
Who could believe that throwing a couple of switches can make the voices of a theatre organ, sound like a church organ, what a grat gift.!
Bravo!
Super excellent
@klavier1us Thank you so much for your supportive comments. I always appreciate contructive criticism. :)
Thank you very much :)
@theatreorganman thank you very much!
When that organ rises up out of the stage when the organist is playing the opening notes of whatever that evening's song is...
Mr. Stahl - you made that organ sound like it should. what it was built for.......
@svogar Thank you for the kind words. I hope to post more in the future:)
10/10 did not that there was this in Birmingham, great big organ
My goodness! What an intro!
(All of the playing is superb of course, just not a chance in hell of anyone staying asleep during the first few notes :-) )

Excellent - and a nice slow lift!
(Is it a screw jack?)

Fine organist. Beautiful console and sound. Shorts? I don't think so. Detracts for the overall effect.
it was part of his holidays and taking part in one of the conventions later on, he'll have dressed properly I'm sure (for as far as I know)
Who are you to say the kid can't ware shorts?
wow....
Could have used some dramatic pacing. I would have like this better if organist had inserted the slow tempo'ed drag in the middle.
lets hear your recording of it.
.
Don't get gussied up on our account. ;-)
Loved the organ, loved the playing, not so much the bare legs though! 👎
All fine and dandy, but why doesn't anyone push the limits of such a great machine into the 21 century??? Sounds like a bunch of old music to just make gray hairs smile... jus sayin...
your up next. lets see what you can do.
