This is my favorite out of the gems I own the moon and Dawn it reminds me of a old church
Definitely the most Incense heavy of the 4 Desert Gems, I would have a bottle if money were no issue ⛪️
I’ve got to say I do find things like Amberwood offputting. Also those fragrances that will keep going for days and after you wash your clothes I just don’t like that and it seems to be happening with fragrances more and more. Long live the vintage style ❤️ great review Ram 🫡🐏

You should tell your own story, Ramsey. You're already overqualified for just UA-cam reviews. As you probably know, Eugene 'U smells good' successfully started his own perfume line. I see the same passion in your reviews as in Eugene's. He covered his journey extensively in his videos. Hope you will start your own creative journey soon.

Pump YT Shorts consistently with a mix of the new and old fragrances and you’ll have created a marketing funnel and will hit the 20K in no time. I promise. I find Dawn to be akin to a spiritual experience. It is simply a Sublime Scent that showcases Frankincense like no other. Also interesting that you mentioned La Couche Du Diable from Uncle Serge’ I’d never really linked the two before but now you have inspired me to do a comparison. From memory Diable showcases the Labdanum & stewed dark fruit. Love them both. 😊

Dawn is my favorite out of their dessert gem collection, but there is a bit of that very synthetic smelling note that reinforces the olibanum in here. Might be Mystik, which was so cloying in Purpose but in here it sort of works better. I wish FM would have just stayed away from such popular aroma chemicals for this collection, because aside from Dawn, without the super loud synthetic apple note and huge dose of ambrox in the dry down, Promise would have been the best Rose, Patch combo ever created.
I love Promise... I will review it today... wearing it as my SOTD... but yes there are definitely Amberwoody materials in both Dawn and Promise lol
A couple years ago I walked into Frederic Malle on Madison Ave in NYC and asked to smell Dawn one minute after walking in. The SA was shocked. She’s like “uhh you sure you want to start with that.” And proceeded to show me 7 others before I ended with Dawn. I don’t quite recall how it smells at all but I know I do want to make this my birthday purchase this year in Sept. Cheers.

Tried this one for the first time last month at one of FM boutiques in Paris: even though I liked it, it’s my least favorite among the four Desert Gems. The Moon comes first, followed by Promise > The Night > Dawn. Waiting for your review of The Moon 🌙 😅 (coming soon, probably?)

Lovely name…Desert Gems….one day I’ll get decant for both…loving some floral ours lately after trying so many Ensars with easy to wear ouds
Well the ensars put these to shame though Ajay... don't get your hopes up lol
Longevity on this is absurd on my skin. 30 hours and a shower later I'll be wearing a different scent, then suddenly a random whiff of this... sniffing around I can't find it... 2 hours later it shows up again, at this point taunting me. Not where I recall spraying it, clothes are different... Dammit!
