I've been using for nearly a year and it has been awesome. If something appears to be wrong with it it has usually been user error and easy to work out what I did wrong. I had the GHL KH Director before and didn't trust the readings. The KH Keeper I completely trust and use it to dose and automatically adjust my Alkalinity, Calcium and Magnesium.
I have been using the reef factory for a while now and it’s brilliant. I would test four times a day so you build up data also get the re-factory remote socket, piggyback it with one of the socket outlets on the Neptune Apex, then you will have dual control. I have this controlling my kalk reactor. The Apex takes priority when pH gets too high, then secondary the reef factory socket takes priority over Kh hope this makes sense it works for me.
Same like GHL regarding the filter...I used a PVC adapter (Socket x FIPT) and screwed the filter on the FIPT side. It keeps the filter upright and lower in the water. I had alot of trouble getting consistent readings because of the filter. Just giving my two cents on this in case you get wrong readings with your device.
Lol I did think about that aspect of it. Did it happen to you eventually? Or turned it off for preventative. Would be cool if there was a way to dim it
Thanks for the review video. New to the hobby and starting to learn about some of these automation options. Watching the video (7:33 into it) is it not concerning that difference between the machine's test results and from the manual test using the Hanna tester?? The "adjustment" of .86 was recorded and appears to be saved as an "offset" applied to future tests. One general question - if the test water coming into the device is in a long tube how accurate are the results? Given the small amount of water used in each test could there be days of water already drawn and inside of the tube? Or would it completely flush what is in the tube before each use? Thanks for any help and response!
Most testers flush what’s in the tube. I’ll have to watch it later to confirm. If you don’t mix the reagent 100% properly the offset is an easy fix. It’s pretty close to alkatronic results so works for me. At the end of the day it’s the trends you care avout. If your alk is 8 or 8.5 it doesn’t really make a differance. What you care about is ..is it stable. It’s it going up or down and adjust your dosing accordingly
Glad to see these in the United States now. The size and functionality will make these much more palatable for the average hobbyist. We are in the process of testing one as we speak, and so far the setup is easy. The KH Keeper definitely sets the bar for KH testing, monitoring, and dosing.
Hi there, I’ll be setting up a mixed reef tank and for the stocking I’ll have tangs, wrasses, angels, gobies, etc. I want to quarantine these fish, but the only copper that I can find is Cupramine by Seachem. I heard from many people that cupramine is basically a wrasse killer, while other day that it is not true. This is the only copper that I can find here, so can you please tell me how I can quarantine these fish using this brand of copper. I plan on using copper for 14 days along with general cure for deworming and also in the water column for a total of 14 days. If there are no signs of illnesses then I will add the fish to the tank on the 20th day or else I will do the full 30 days. I plan on keeping the water salinity at 1.019-1.021. I will do a freshwater dip first and then add cupramine over the course of 7 days instead of two. Do you think this will work? Can you please tell me how how I can quarantine with cupramine without killing my wrasses, tangs, gobies, etc.
I prefer copperpower, i find it more gentler than cupermine. All depends on the wrasse some are more sensitive thatn others, you could also do obervation only and not use copper. just use prazzi pro instead.
They are a Polish company that do make some decent products for our hobby. But atm they cannot even supply the europe market and yet they want to push for the american market now?.
Love mine had it since day 1 I love it that mich I went out and bought all the other bits of the eco system. Customer service has also been spot on 😊
What other cool stuff are you using?

Awesome to hear!
How often do you calibrate ?
@@pedrodossantos8755 probably once every 2 months. Although I should be doing it more often.

If you need more information on this, please let me know I’ll send you a quick video
Sounds like a solid way to do it! Clever. I like it!

Good to know! Will keep that in mind. Thx!
I sure wish this was available. The Regular Keeper version seems like just the unit I've been looking for.
I didnt even know there was a non plus. Dang the KH Keeper is even smaller!
@@ReefDudes Right?? I have a perfect spot right next to my RSR 170 for it, with it's fancy LED lights!
When’s the jebao version coming out?
Thanks Dev, good product, enjoy mine. Might think about turning the indicator led off before probe and lines grow algae.

@@ReefDudes it happened eventually. I really like the light as a feature, just its location and intensity needs a tweak
You should speak to Parkers Reef about it...I've been watching this company for awhile. Waiting for US distribution. Nice vid, Dev.
I actually did message him to see how he liked it to make sure it was good before i tried it :) hehe
Nice video Dev
Thanks Coral Compass!

What’s the price of this? Hoping theirs going to be a market and enough competition for a affordable auto tester compared to the trident.

Sound like so far so good for you too! i would say it was a very quick easy process overall.
My biggest question is around ease of use. These machines are not cheap so I’d like to find one that I can live with long term.
Most are pretty much hands off except re calibrate every 8 weeks and re fill reagent when required
👍🏾
Is the Reef keeper plus more accurate than the Alkatronic?
Would this work on an all in one tank?
Yep. Would work on any tank
Hey Devin, do u still like this?
Did they mention a price on it?
