I would use hotkeys for every slot. Hotkeys for sword and blocks are most important at the beginning. You can use these keys 1, 2, 3, 4, r, f, g, x, c, v or mouse buttons however you like. I use q, e, r, f, mouse1 mouse2, c, v, g and changed inventory to 3 and drop to 1
