ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ABOUT AFRO BRAZILIAN HISTORY OF ALL TIMES, he tells a little bit about sl4very in BR, quilombos (communities formed in XVI century by ppl who escaped sl4very farms, they organized and exist till this day), Zumbi dos Palmares and Dandara, our most known quilombo leaders, who organized and defended the Quilombo dos Palmares, located in the middle of the forests, untouched at the time.
He talks about how society embraced black ppl when "freeing" them. And many other relevant parts of our erased history. It's really a walk through Brazilian history books but in a BEAUTIFUL, well constructed, rich rap song.
Rappin Hood's career is 30 yo, he till this day does social work, he hosted a radio show for 18 years called "rapdubom", in literal translation "doperap", "qualityrap", he's a father of 8 and this song is dedicated to first his son Martin, yes, like Dr. Martin Luther King JR.
I think it is a great song to educate, especially young, ppl around the world. Its title translates to "da warriors".
