Greatest shooter of all-time for me. I didn't have any interest in it UNTIL I heard it was no SBMM. On this days launch I left CoD and I've never gone back. I only have 400 hours and I love playing even more now than day 1. I was shocked when I first heard it was free. I've never shut-up about since they announced it was sunsetting. I leave 3-4 tweets a day directed at Ubi and XD. I've left HUNDREDS of comments on YT. I'll NEVER give up on this game...thats how much I love it. It's the ONLY and LAST of its kind. If they only would've waited to see how S3 did first...cause CoD is on the way out, having lost over 40% of its playerbase in December. Sorry for the long message. I never get tired of talking about this game...and I never will.
I was also drawn in by this game's no SBMM. It had its issues for sure with the netcode being the biggest thing but with more time & a fair chance to see what Season 3 could do I think those issues would have been resolved & this game while not killing COD, would've been great competition in the FPS space. Unfortunately Ubisoft is in such a bad spot & can't afford to keep a free to play shooter out there that really isn't raking in a lot of money.
I loved this game coming back to it when it has a lot of content restored my love for it. However the game at launch was not ready. The netcode while still not the best is better but it was bad really bad at launch! I think that content was so slow to be delivered and when content and updates were made and delivered there was just alot to be desired! And I feel like limiting the movement to a degree is a debatably bad decision. I won’t say it was the worst decision but appealing to people who just can’t aim was a bad decision! Now I quit playing in the preseason it was quite frankly too long and then I played a little in season 1 and I was a little disappointed. Not to mention the cosmetics sucked I mean a 4th grader would have done better. Another problem I had with the game that I noticed returning a couple of times and playing alot recently playing on both pc and console kbm and controller, I have to say it feels awful to play on both I don’t know what it is but the aim assist feels off and flicking and tracking in this game feels weird dare I say I don’t know if its the recoil or maybe its a skill issue but aiming it this game almost feels dated. But another problem I noticed overtime was the server connection and how it works. So say Im in a server Us west i have 57-80 ping on average. Recently I’ve noticed if you have even a simple ping spike it will set you into the next closest server and it won’t switch you back unless you restart the game. The game was also just really unbalanced when it came to the faction abilities it really felt like some factions where overpowered in their own ways however some factions just seemed almost too much such as the cleaners,dead sec, and the phantoms. However I feel like that could have changed by year 2. But the fact that it should change was a problem in it of itself, this should have never been a hero shooter especially if you where marketing it as a cod competitor which means your target audience is a run and gun audience. I will go so far as to say most cod players have a braindead mindset when it comes to shooters just run and shoot and when thats your target audience and you have a bunch of abilities and supers its kind of a turn off! That being said I love the game as it is right now the content variety is really nice and its just a shame that this game is shutting down. The only thing to blame is leadership and the time of release. #fuckubisoft
I agree this game had a very rocky start & didn't really pick up for me until about midway through season 1. Netcode issues & lacking cosmetics were major points of contention. The sad thing is, without a charge up front for this game Ubisoft just can't afford to support games like XDEFIANT no matter how good or bad it is/was.
@ thats facts I really do agree with this I feel like the games is worth atleast a 30-40 dollar price tag and that probably would have helped them push out more updates cause they would have money for a bigger team. Because from my knowledge the team was small!
@@X_Frost. The team was smaller than your average triple AAA development team yes, but what made them stand out above others is their passion & care they had for this game & it even shows in the season 3 content update.
the point is having fun! remember, we used to play games without a thought because we were driven to the fun that was waiting for us, in these game worlds filled with soul. nowadays sense of progress is artificial in COD. The lifespan of the game doesnt allow players to naturally enjoy their playtime as they rush and optimize every part of their progression and lose immersion. What i'm saying is despite XDefiant shutdown announcement, you should still play this game while it lasts or else you will regret it. Great innocent fun is still to be had, and the heart of XDefiant is still beating. "My mother will die in 6 months, what is the point anymore..." @@RirimoYT I 100% agree with you. Just diving back into XDEFIANT to get gameplays for my videos is bringing me so much happiness. It's hard to not acknowledge the future but living in the moment is what is really important right now.

@AllYouKnow94 You're right. I've said that literally over 100 tines. If both games community got along both games would be in better places right now.

I'm severely depressed now i have no drive to play the game what is point anymore .
It's an unfortunate truth that all of this will be for nothing in a few months. I'm gonna try to enjoy the content as much as the game will let me.
