Not everyone is that open with expressing emotions either so if they don't start dancing and mouthing lyrics it doesn't mean they're cocky and they may not listen to BigBang's music either. Also, not saying age has much impact but V and Jungkook are younger than EXO so they were most likely listening to different kinds of music at different ages. Just because V and Jungkook are fanboying over BB and EXO aren't, doesn't mean that EXO are cocky.

Facts:
1. Seungri and Sehun became BFFs after MAMA 2015 (you can see proof of their friendship on Happy Together, variety shows and instagram). If Seungri thought Exo was being impolite, would he have become bffs with Sehun? Seungri has mentioned many times on variety shows/radio that he really likes Exo and found them very polite, humble and hard-working.
2. EXO came back from a concert in Japan the day before MAMA 2015. They were exhausted from the concerts and the flights. They have not had a day off for the entire year. You cannot expect them to dance up and down on their seats for 3 hours (and after a long ass red carpet).
3. SM has always had very strong image control. Exo had only debuted for 3 years back then, Exo explicitly said that SM told them to keep a mysterious image and hence they were not supposed to act all excited and fangirl-ish over other acts, especially an act from another big 3 Company. You can see that Exo loosened up as they became sunbaes in the music industry in recent years. Exo was the only group bopping enthusiastically to the little girl’s dance medley performance (the ONLY group bopping to the dance medley fyi) at MAMA 2017 and they’re seen to be very excited at NCT and Red Velvet’s performances etc.
4. Exo members have always been introverts (except CY Baek and Chen). Extroverts aren’t always nice people and introverts aren’t always mean people okay?? I have colleagues who are the nicest and most hard-working persons ever and they rarely smile or talk.
5. Exo stood up and bowed to Seungri when he approached their seats.

Now First of all you can't blame EXO for their reactions , i mean they are a kpop boyband too , they are not fans who have nothing better to do than cheer for bigbang you know... i mean there is no rule stating that all juniors must respect seniors , do you show respect to your mom and dad when they tell you to decrease the volume on the kpop songs you are blasting ? . Exo and Bigbang follow 2 different styles of kpop music , and you can't expect exo to cheer for bigbang , even smile for them because they are not familiar with them . if you are in a concert and then a kpop group who you don't even know starts singing/dancing , do you stand up and then start cheering ? do you bobble your head back and forth ? no , you try to understand them by observing them. that was what exo was doing .
