Ess Shots As Kepler suggested, I was mostly referring to the season styles and especially the outerwear - if you wear Ralph head to toe, including a nice coat and boots and pay full website retail (nothing on sale or closeout) then it will be very, very pricey. I bought a ton of stuff back when they had the Rugby brand, but most of it was on sale (end of season, last of stock, etc) and a few of it was full price but not much. I hate paying that much but sometimes you have to in order to get something you love in the proper size that will fit before it sells out. Closeouts are usually weird sizes only (Small, XXL, etc)
You are aware that you can buy whatever you want. You prefer a preppy look, but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with a wide array of styles being available to the public. But the way you put quotation marks around modern (and the wrong ones at that) seems to imply this has less to do with fashion and more with race and culture.
