Goeiendag Smokey-man, op mijn oude beemers, moest ik de Krauserkoffers met grote spanbanden extra vastmaken. je verloor er anders al eens één :) dat was in de jaren 79' 80' , zoiets r100rs . top bike voor de rest.

@@LifeofSmokey Blijkbaar, en moest net een enorm klein stukje hebben voor mijn GS 1200 mudhugger, spatbord hebben, die dingen trillen kapot , Goud waard, 36 euro, voor een vijs en buisje. Mijn ABS pomp ( 2000€ zonder werkuren) is al lang stuk, maar hij remt goew. Mijn eerste GS 1100, jaaaaaren geleden had het ook, en mijn k100rs 16v ook. toch hou ik van BMW motoren. Een deftige versnellingbak is ook een uitdaging voor de Duitse vrienden . Azo zagen :)

Indeed. There are thousands of GS tractors driving around with broken ABS. If BMW repairs them, you pay thousands of euros. And years later, it breaks again. There are even models and constructionyears that they no longer want or can repair. Then you have to go to a questionable aftermarket, who also charge a lot of money. BMW failed on that point, it is not correct service from such a large company.

Would a tall windscreen make the 900GS comfortable for longer periods on the freeway?

It's build as a rally bike , I would not like riding long freeway trips on it to be honest. It's possible tho but not build for that of course 😊

Motoren met zeldzame problemen koop je een Japanner.
Net als met auto’s.
BMW echt een mooie motor maar binnen 2 jaar de bloemkoolen ( roest) op het blok.
Kan echt niet voor 35000 euro.
En bmw weet het maar doet niks.
Ik heb het binnen een jaar en nooit geen pekel gezien.

Have you tried the Husqvarna Norden 901 Expedition yet? Had a salesman in a dealership near me, who is over 2m (6'7''+) and he has one. I am 190, so close to 6'3'' and the low seat setting was okay for a 300km ride

Hi Smokey, one short question since you spent some time on the highway with the street tire. I saw two other reviews that reported heavy vibrations in the handlebars and the foot pegs above 115 kph but both had the offroad tires on. Did you also encounter such vibrations?
