DWade lead his team to the playoffs his rookie year. Lead them to the eastern conference his second year and win it all in his third with the finals MVP. The guy was amazing throughout his whole career but he was overshadowed because he performed and accomplished way more early than everyone’s favourite players
D wade was one of the most explosive players I've seen.. he had a complete game from year 2 on.. very underrated.. didn't need a 3 because that mid range kept the defense honest.. great shot blocker, facilitator, and leader.. one of the best finishers ever.. footwork, low post.. you name it

Wade was quick switching directions but Jordan was still quite bit faster and had higher vertical. As Phil put it too MJ had million dollar hands that enabled him to do lot of things. Not to mention he had a superior gas tank. His endurance to average 35-37 while also being top ranked guard for defence. That is very hard to do. Wade much like Kobe and rest are simply a level below MJ.

There will be a little bit of challenge to for Tatum to come back with that post-06 Wade mentality. Wade was clearly the best guy on his team. He put them on his back. On the Celtics, there's JB, who got the finals MVP. This is not a Steph vs Iguodala type of FMVP, that made us wonder why he got it over Steph. JB really deserved it. If Kobe was the closest player to MJ, there was a time when the media was discussing who was better between prime Kobe and prime D-Wade. Wade was also that dude, man. If LeBron had only been decent in the 2011 finals, they would have won and Wade would have been finals MVP. Lebron averaged nearly 18 ppg. Wade averaged nearly 27 ppg. So, no, he didn't become MJ or Kobe, but he was drawing comparisons for some time before 2013. Dude's deemed 3rd best SG for a reason.
