- Here we go again! Only this time was better! We take this bridge/tunnel as we head from Chesapeake, VA to Ocean City MD as it is the fastest way for us. It is 12 Miles of bridges and 2 miles of tunnels.
My greatest fear is to go off of a bridge in my car and drown. I am just not a fan of tunnels and underwater ones, yikes!
This is my video of our crossing. We traveled from Chesapeake, VA to the Eastern Shore. I have kicked anxiety out of the back door and I went across with laughter instead of fear. Totally different than last years trip.

I drove that bridge for years to Easton, the most beautiful town ever.
There was no tunnel though, but at night with all the rigs crossing, it could get scary in a tiny car.
100 feet deep oh absoluty not. and they caught people trying to blow it up it's definitely NOT safe and they know it. water gushes down there too . I hate that bridge they should had left it a drawbridge. Virginia Beach is ghetto as heck anyways. I'd stay clear of that. you don't want to be in it during an accident because you will be stuck under it for hours. And let's not think about those massive navel ships going over top of them. just definitely something I hated having to do growing up so glad I will never be going in it again .
I didn’t know any of that! Whoa! I had thought about what would happen if there were an accident. I don’t think I would make it if I were stuck in it for a long time.
