I'm going to be honest... As a fan of songs of Alec's before "I Built a Friend" he did go downhill a bit in my personal opinion with his last Album (I think it was the album before this one). Yes, it did have a few songs in it that I bop to but it also had a few that I didn't and before those few, I loved every single one of his songs. No, I'm not hating on Alec. I adore him and his music. The new ones such as this one have improved by ALOT even some of his older songs from way back. I feel like he's been adding more emotion and feeling to it so that many people could relate to his songs whether they are male, female, non-binary, or however the viewer identifies. Alec has a rather unique writing style than many other music artists and that's what I like about him. Sure, just about all of his songs are sad and some people might not be into music like that, but still, many of them could probably relate to Alec and his songs. These are just some of the thoughts I've had about how I'm glad to see how far he has come over the years and his many improvements.
