You know you have serious power when you can get people to listen to the same thing for 9 plus minutes and its still not enough. After you finish the track you have to press "Repeat". Crazy man!
This song could go on for an hour and I still wouldn't be turning it off!
Never ending party 🎉 I
nobody aint got time for that anymore for nearly 10 mintues plus!
Agreed
This was my favorite to dance in the 80s
I was 18 the first time I heard this jam in 1983, I'm 58 now, yet the jam is in my playlist, classic!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Between Knee Deep and this song, the street block parties went way out into the after hours shock with more funk and disco (1977-1983).
Right on ! 🪩 💃🕺🎼
Make my Funk the P-Funk!!❤
I love your profile pic with Billie Holiday. "Lady Day!!
Timeless...
Thanks mom and dad for raising me right, buckling me into the Monte Carlo, and jamming to Zapp on the 8 track.
Same! Born in 82, Zapp was always playing at my aunt's house when my mom and I visited on the weekends, it was a great time to be a kid.
Those are the days. I remember my monte carlo fondly. Awesome car. Sadly they make neither cars nor music like this
Gang banging without the guns . 1980s ! Nothing else mattered but girl's and good music in the ride ! This one always gets the crowd going !
Wasn’t that the height of gang violence? Colors came out in 1988 lol
@@raytreePEOPLE will get on here and say anything about the time they grew up like there was no violence 😂
A tape deck with auto reverse
Remember rappers delight? I liked that music that was fun and innocent.
This song is a classic. Even today in the 2020's & many years to come this song still be the jam.
When u hear this song, u can't but stop in what u r doing and start to bounce and dance yessss
Right! 😂
This masterpiece sounds just as good as it did 40 years ago.
80'$ bbys all day loc
Especially in a new rig n the Bluetooth speakers!🥰🔥❤️
I live in Da Country y’all I will bump this all the way in my lifted Chevy Silverado to the beer mart🥰❤️🔥
I'm battling lyme illness but i can be feeling so crappy and still Roger can get me up and dance my ass off in my living room!! Best times of my life in the amazing 80's!! Thank you Roger and Zapp, your bros!! Unsung was so good! Sending much love and peace! Amen xoxo
did you win?
I knew Roger and Zapp, when they lived on Washington street in Hamilton Ohio. I just happened to be at the community center when they were taking inventory of their equipment to move to Dayton Ohio.

🙏
Bless U and U got real taste 😋
This was roller skating music back in high school. So sad when he died in 1999.
So very sad. I watched Unsung, cried at the end.
when it comes to a woman I'm screwing her to
I can't catch a woman but move out of the vicinity with me
why did Larry kill roger ?
Yup! ..Classic roller skating music of the early 80s. I was in elementary school, going skating with my mother and my childhood friend. I was also lucky enough to go to Zapp's last concert before Roger's death in 1999.
There’s no one in the world that can bring the funk like Roger and Zapp🤙🏿🤘🏿✊🏿✌🏿
the best group love ZAPP
Ohio Players. Bringin the funk.
Oh yeah 😎 ✌️🎶🎶🎶❤️
RIP to the Late,Great Roger Troutman
🎉
2020 LOCK DOWN ....We still need MORE BOUNCE🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
2021!
Rest In Peace Roger.. I promise we will remember your legacy
When this came out, I was a Marine stationed at Okinawa Japan ! All the brothers had gone out in the Ville, Kinville, a small town outside of the gates of base, they bought these monster jam boxes, some were 3'-4' long ! I'd wake up to this or Rick James Super Freak playin on four or five jam boxes at the same time 5:30am ! The brothers would be dancin in the showers and squadbay in bath towels and flipflops, combs or toothbrushes were microphones !!!
At the time they released this song, I was 15, today I am 55 and I still love listening to the songs from the time I danced!
It's weird that as a 21 year old I enjoy songs from 30 years before my birth way more than todays music. Sometimes I do feel like a 55 year old because of this very reason
@@CIutchX same
@@CIutchX It was so danceable, innocent and silly. I also loved Rapoer’s Delight. Today’s music is harsh and offensive.
56 here.
@Alek Barragan Damn, your dad is nine years younger than me. I remember this song as a kid.
Nothing like it today!!❤
This song brings back memories on a whole other level. 1981 to 2020.
This is a classic song
RIP Roger Troutman... Master of the "talk-box".... Man deserved several awards... not the least of which should be "For outstanding contribution to the art of Funk Party Music..." and "Funk-Master Emeritus". Roger got it done...and THEN some!!
Would skate to this song on Saturday nights great time😊😊
Man, you said it PERFECTLY!! 🔥 🔥 🔥
@@shaunameyer7869Me too! It was the backwards skating jam!
I'm an 80s girl forever!! Miss Roger! He was so special!! Rest in heaven, thank you for your amazing music that still gets this gal up and dancin in my living room while battling lyme disease!! God is good!! I can still shake it!! I love to dance!! Hugs! xoxo

Roger Troutman Godfather of West Coast G-Funk 🔥🔥🔥💯
Style may have been "West Coast" because of his collaboration with Tupac, but Troutman was from my adoptive home State of O-H-I-O! Go Buckeyes!!
Maybe West Coast, but Roger Troutman was from my adoptive home State of O-H-I-O! Home of The Ohio Players, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Halle Berry, John Legend, The Ojays, The Wright Brothers, LeBron James, the Football Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Back in the eighties, as a college freshman going into my first frat party and this was playing!❤❤❤❤ set me off right!!💯

This masterpiece was ahead of its time when it dropped----------it STILL is!
100% on that
This is one of the greatest songs to have come out. I love this song. Great beat and fun to dance to.
I was stationed at Ft. Jackson, SC. Columbia Coliseum...'Roger Troutman Featuring ZAPP'. To see this performed LIVE!! I still get chills listening to it. This group ENTERTAINS!
Columbia in the house!! Two Knocks Road!! Orangeburg, SC-1979 grad of South Carolina State University (fornerly SC State). My Dad, an Air Force Vet with 26 years if service is buried on Ft. Jackson's National cemetary. I served in the Army possibly plan on being buried there. His only yonger brother, my uncle, served as a Marine but is buried in St. Matthews down the road from Columbia but still in the "Midlands"!! Peace!☮️
Don't care how old this song gets,it will always be on point, don't need a dancing partner when this song comes on,I got this one all by myself, real, real, talk,
I hear ya Mable!!!! I'm dancin right now to it, just like I did when it first came out......smile on my face and sweating like a mug.
I know that's right 🤣💃🔥❤️
I promise you that if Roger made his debut TODAY, and this was his debut song, it would find its way out of whatever platform it came from and into the Top 10 in Billboard charts-in a flash!!! Because that man and this song have their own lane through music history and music future. 😎🤖💬🎤🎸🎹
I’ll be 63 this year and this is still my go to music when I get in my car‼️‼️‼️🎶❤️🎵❤️🎶
At a funeral they would've got out the casket and start dancin to this one!.
LOVE THIS!!!

Shared this jam with my teen age kids - they loved the funk!
They have new music out. New album release not that long ago. Times change so really nothing like these classics but still funky.
I know my kids will drive outside to percentage to come and see me and my woman
Preach n convert✌️😜
This represents a time when we enthusiastically supported true musical genius.. that only Roger Stevie and a few others even attempted ..to create a sound that has never been duplicated successfully.. Now take it ..or leave it
Got it from George Clinton, Bootsy, and the P Funk Mob in Detroit.. 🤘🏽🙏🏽👑😎🤌🏽✊🏽✌🏽
If this song came out in 83 i was 40 year's old with 3 teenagers who introduced me to this song and Roger 81 and still love it
One of many great funk groups out of Dayton, Ohio.
Dzaz3sz
My home town!!!! Love them
It deletes automatically. Every 5 days. My bad.
Exactly! O-H-I-O! My adoptive home State!!
Saw them live earlier this year.Zapp did a backflip on stage. I got on stage with them near the end. Got my record signed too. Real entertainers. Best choice ever going to see them.
they both died in the 90's, you're lying
@@andytheezboy2903 It wasn't just two people. There were several people in the band that still perform as the group.
That's hype!
Very cool man! Good for you And him! My bud and i used to go to the disco sometimes and the sound systems would be PUMPIN!! Plenty of Hot girlies!!😊😉

Real funk doesn't die, I will be 55 in July.
@@eltonhill824459 here.. LoL
I LOVE More Bounce! Roger was and forever will be THE talk-box master! This song came out when I was in 6th grade, in So Cal. Friends of mine were pop lockers, break dancers, twin brothers. They turned me on to this song. I bought this on a 45 at Kmart who used to sell vinyl, and I still have and cherish all my vinyl! You have to flip the 45 over to hear the full version :) I couldn't love this song any more than I do, it's not possible. Totally agree with all these fun & awesome comments! Party + timeless!
How could this come out in 1980, genius.
That's what I said
Why does everyone find it hard to believe like modern sounding hits weren't being dropped in 1980. 🤔
because it did. FOOL!
How could this not come out in the 80s? It’s so typical of everything that was coming out at the time.
Tom Tom Club band members said in an interview that this song was a direct inspiration for their huge hit "Genius of Love".
And Tom Tom Club's "Genius Of Love" (Mariah's sampling with "Fantasy") has been played /used in a many tv commercials as well as the Chemical Brothers Brothers' "Galvanize". Mark Morrison's "Return of rhe Mack" was used for little while as well. Old classics never die: think about Florida's tribute to Etta James! Think Christine McVie's (Fleetwood Mac) "Everywhere"-Chaka Khan has added her magical touches to the song, but the song is now being used in a PayPal commercial! It's crazy how music can be modified, sampled, interpreted, commercialized and used over and over again! Think: Alicia Keys and "Songs in A Minor"-"Fallin" especially. A classical music throwback! Really old old school!! I love music 🎶 ❤❤
Clássico 80s! 🔥🔥
Gen X music for life!
The sound they created with the bass is unbelievable. My guitar wishes for that sound. Lol.
Best Zapp album ever !!!! My opinion
É dá hora essas músicas não tem coisas melhor 🎉🎉🎉
Dam here go those funky school days again 🎶🎵✌️😜
Pure funk!!
I saw these guys at the celebrity theater in Phoenix back in the eighties!🎉🍾🥳
7:30 Love this part
I love this song and it brings back more memories than I care to remember and wanna ever realize just how time has flown by us doing these last past few months since the carona virus spread the city of Waterloo Iowa!, we gotta continue to take more precautions on our health, and those that we socialize with you and be around! But I miss the soulful sound of the Zappa, the original singer's has brought so much attention and happiness to the community and those who really love the inspiration of good soulful music! R.I.P, and I hope y'all keep shinning in heaven, cause I know you'll be missed sorely by all of my family and friends who still listens to the great sounds of y'all continuously great music! Once again, this is John L. Blankmanship Boldon sr! May God to continue to Bless you all with love and respect as well as to Bless each and every one of y'all souls! Again, may Hod Continue to Bless your souls!
When it's great it's great
