I was looking for footage of "Our great divide" for so long! Finally someone filmed it. This is one of Tarja's most beautiful ballads. I actually enjoy the band's interpretation of it, more than the original. Quite Pink Floydian. Very well done. Tarja sounds absolutely perfect. Gorgeous and powerful cadence. So much more interesting to see and listen to her interpret her own songs than the musical pieces.... On a smaller note, all of her outfits for this mini tour are stunning. This dress is striking on her.
It's so nice to see her performing this again, it has been a long time since the warm up concerts, to me this is one of her best songs of her solo career!

Oh how I miss this kind of amazing masterpieces of compositions, like Oasis, The Archive of Lost Dreams, Into The Sun, The Reign, Until Silence, Calling Grace, Together, Too Many and many others... The notes, the emotions, the intensity, the passion, the melodies, the melancholy, the right tempos, the soul, it all is felt through the deepest of cores. It is inevitable for me to compare them with her latest ballad You and I, and in my opinion You and I feels so small, sounds so empty, soulless, like something rushed, something superficial, even more, commercially planned/influenced. I want to feel emotions with Tarja's music like with this out of this world performance of Our Great Divide or her latest released cover, Numb. Even The Golden Chamber is very much forgettable. Hopefully some celestial masterpieces like the ones mentioned will rise from Tarja's catalogue again.
