Busy Signal talks Arrest In Trinidad

- On the weekend of July 4th 2015 Jamaican Dancehall artiste Busy Signal was arrested for failure to pay an outstanding debt of US$37,088 in Trinidad and Tobago. As it turned the outstanding debt is actually a deposit collected by his former management, Juke box records, for a 2013 engagement the artiste failed in the twin island republic.
The “watch out fi dis” performer was reportedly released after signing a consent order to pay US$15,000 and the balance at a later date and was able to fulfill his unrelated assignment that he was Trinidad for when the arrest took place.

he said the promoter breach the contract..... promoters throw bad word on artist names all the time , I've personally seen it happen to Mr.Vegas ...promoter didn't pay him and lied and told all the people that he paid but Mr.Vegas didn't show up, no artist is dumb enough to get booked for shows and NOT show up then just keep the money , it makes no *cents*

It is funny when I see trini and Jamaicans or other island fight to show their patriotism when the fact of the matter we are all one only separated by water There are bad minded people in every race and creed so there's good and bad in every race: agreed so it is wrong to say all Jamaican or trini are bad mind that's just foolishness I Being a Trinidadian most of my friends are Jamaicans and I have no problem with them as a matter of fact I love Jamaicans I grew up listening to strictly reggae my community in Trinidad had many rasta which we from a young age adopted reggae bless

Sounds like he's not familiar with what his former management was doing, he's saying that the promoter breached the contract but didn't know what the breach was. The fact of the matter is his management was double dipping on the side!

Trini people bad mind Jamaicans when them ready this nuh have nothing to do with money owed and the likes. it is something I have observed of some Trini people towards Jamaicans.It's because Jamaicans deal with them things and don't pay too much attention to them. More time a just attention dem want. JAmaicans too busy being innovators and some time Trini people badmind that. I am a believer in equality and what not but it's just something I have noticed about Trinidadians towards Jamaicans wittily utilizing and their talent & creativity into success.
