Dopo l'impero ottomano, l'isola di Cipro fu collegata al Regno Unito. Turco-ciprioti e greco-ciprioti si ribellarono al dominio oppressivo degli inglesi e chiesero il loro calore. Successivamente, turco-ciprioti e greco-ciprioti si unirono e fondarono uno stato comune. L'odierna Repubblica di Cipro (che tu chiami la parte greca) è lo stato che è stato istituito dalla cooperazione di turchi e greci e ha causato l'abbandono di Cipro da parte degli inglesi. Ma gli inglesi non volevano andarsene facilmente. Volevano introdurre la politica del "divide et impera" come avevano fatto per secoli. Hanno provocato turchi e greci l'uno contro l'altro. Ci viene insegnato che solo i greci ci hanno ucciso. Allo stesso modo, da parte greca, ai bambini greco-ciprioti viene raccontato come sono stati massacrati dai turchi nelle scuole. Questo odio e questa divisione sono alimentati. Ecco perché, Avi, le persone dalla Turchia potrebbero reagire in modo molto diverso al tuo video. Perché viene fatta propaganda di odio alla parte greca e al popolo greco in Turchia. Ma allo stesso modo, i media greci lo fanno per i turco-ciprioti. Tuttavia, molte persone che vivono a Cipro e che hanno sperimentato queste sofferenze si guardano l'un l'altro con moderazione e vogliono la pace. Anche il popolo turco ci chiama traditori perché vogliamo la pace a Cipro, perché vogliamo che turchi e greci si uniscano come prima. Dicono che non puoi essere turco.
