I had service was a wonderful Easter weekend, a gathering with some of my family. Sunday service was filled with the praises of God! My pastor preached, "Jesus is risen and so are we! " Colossians 2:6-7, 6 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. 7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Awesome scripture! In this world we will go through pain and heartaches along with many good things and during these times with Jesus in us we can always be thankful. We may be unaware but people are watching! Our thankfulness will shine like Gold and will catch the eye of the unbeliever. Thankfulness is the working of the Spirit of God and it touches lives! People are not drawn to bitterness. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life who dwells in me! We have reason to be thankful.
Joseph was an awful person. Here's a good Hebrew boy to accepts the position of Viceroy in a pagan land. Then he stiffs all the Egyptian people by buying up the grain against a drought, but then fleecing them for all their money, all their possessions and then all their land. That's gangland crap. But Christians read right over it and go "Oh, look how god used him." I see how Joey used the people for his own and his pharaoh's pockets. Please use this new thing called "reading comprehension."
