My ex used to gripe about the sound my throat made when swallowing food (get your mind out of the gutter 😂) Being honest about those little annoyances can prevent resentment in the long run. However, ensure what you’re with is something they can help. When it’s not something they can help, they’ll drive themselves crazy trying to stop doing the thing. Then, it causes a complex, self-consciousness, because now, not only do you notice this thing you can’t help, but trying to keep it from happening seems to make it worse. The result: he’s still annoyed by that sound, but now I’m annoyed that he’s annoyed by something I cannot control, round & round we go. For the record, after being together five years, that jerk robbed a bank and went to prison! I was upset, but in some ways, I was grateful. It enabled me to get away from him. Typically, he could say what I wanted to hear to get me back. Not from prison……you just turn the ringer off!!!!
I felt personally attacked by his ick. 😩 So I'd like to provide a response. We're going to need it eventually and in the future it will cost more both due to inflation and the fact that the need may arise while the item is not on sale. Also, I'm virtual window shopping to figure out what exactly I need... or will need 😁 lol love y'all
