Chris is a wonderful person as well as an amazing vocalist. It’s not all that common for me to find metal vocalists who scream that I can clearly understand like I can for Chris.
Generally you sacrifice some of the power, or some of the brutality when you enunciate clearly while screaming......but Chris does a particularly good job making the lyrics clear and accessible to the listener!
Such a great interview! Jaw dropping to hear he didn’t take himself seriously as the vocalist until after the reincarnate album. Really shows how we are always our own worst critic. Even someone as talented and who can sing, scream and WRITE as well as Chris 😮
Once again I'm convinced that Chris Cerulli an amazing vocalist and, most importantly, a human being. Thank you for the interview, great and rare questions, that actually make this video unique and special (at least to me). Tysm, Chaoszine!
we are about to see motionless for the 4th time in 2 years coming up in a few weeks, they are a family favorite, my wife and both sons are HUGE MiW fans, Chris is inspiring my son to do vocals, i hear him practice in the shower a lot, i hope Chris understands the influence he is having, who knows all these shows we go to maybe my son will be the lead singer of a big band talking about how MIW and chris inspired him
He's my favorite vocalist and i love motionless in white. He is a amazing song writer also. Very informative interview/video. Cant wait to see motionless in white at inkcarceration this Saturday!!! 🤘❤️🔥🖤🥀
loved that he mentioned jera on air, it was an amazing performance. chris is my main inspiration for having started to learn vocals a while ago and his stories resonate with how i started and i also learned a lot from him now again, so thanks chris
THIS fucking guy, man... Not only my favorite Metal Vocalist -but Chris is such an interesting dude. With every Interview Answer, he is so thoughtful in his answering of each one, every time.
Such great and uplifting life lessons from this interview! The only way to be great at something be it academic, business, farming, dancing, singing anything at all is to try, fail, keep trying and you'll nail it. You'll never be perfect, you'll still be finding your way till the very end!

Chris' sweet tooth must be difficult on the road at times. I have reflux disease so thanks re tumeric n ginger. Hoping it helps n anything natural is better than meds😻
Someone needs to ask Chris what they plan on doing with announcing the winners of the Masterpiece open verse challenge, it's been over a year since they made that promise to the fans and the people participating in that challenge.
@@mallorywolfe5207 No they didn't, that was for something else, I also have proof of Chris saying they still haven't picked anyone yet on my TicToc he answered over 6 months ago and we still haven't heard anything since
@@Brandon_Renegadeho cares if they didn’t? They’re busy as $hit and just got back from Europe and are on for two more tours yet this year AFTER doing TOT for a full year. Give them a break! He also hates when people Always ask the same questions when they don’t have an answer to yet/can’t announce because of legalities and they have said that themselves. They’re human.
@@Allthemotioninwhite Yes, I get that, but that's exactly my point, In between tours and what not, in the downtime that they do have, they could be going through the submissions and giving updates about it and at the very least reacting to the submissions that they do find to be well done, much like artists like Dax does, and despite Dax also being really busy, he does find time to do those things, he even created a 30 min video on his UA-cam of a super remix for his song Dear Alcohol and gave alot of artists recognition for their open verses. I do understand that being in a band of that caliber can be very busy, But I do know that in between those tours and what not, there is some down time. At the very least, once a month they could react to some open verses that people submitted. They have yet to actually react to even one, but they have found time to post other stuff that is irrelevant to the challenge. So there in lies the frustration.
All that said, I still love the band and everything, this whole thing is just a little frustrating at times to think about, when I see other artists following through with things of this nature
My first experience with hard rock/metal was when i played prince of persia warrior within and heard that Godsmack song i was maybe 12 and lost my mind over it. I went into the bonus menu and found a cideo with it and must have replayed it 8-9-10 times. Had a friend of mine come over to watch it after school and he immediately told ke it was godsmack and burned me a copy of that disk. Went home and played it just over and over again. Then he gave me a list of bands to check out slipknot, metallica, avenged sevenfold, lamb of god, pantera, and many others. Mind you this was way before UA-cam existed so i had to go to limewire and download all of these. Afterwords i bought all of them since i had no money and only spent what i actually liked.
Chris has completely omitted Manson being a major influence on him for the past 10 years. He used to talk about Manson in almost every interview in the early days. He said in an interview with a UA-camr "I want to be the next Marilyn Manson because I feel nobody has done what he did since him". He had the UA-camr delete that video not too long after because of that. Motionless opened for Manson in Australia in 2012. I'm sure they met & it didn't go well because he never spoke about Manson again after that tour until 2021 when the allegations against Manson surfaced. A fan on Twitter asked Chris what his take on it was, Chris said he stands with the victims and he won't be supporting Marilyn Manson or his music moving forward.
@@ToniRamsI used to talk to Chris on MySpace before we blew up. We have a long personal history together. We bonded over our shared love for Marilyn Manson. He really liked me because I'm older than him & wasn't an obsessed immature teenage fan girl lol. He really is a great guy. When I met him he immediately recognized me & called me by my name. He knows I love to sing & scream so the 8x I've seen Motionless he makes it a point to come into the crowd to let me scream a line into his mic. Dedicated an old song to me by name my 7th time seeing him I can't say enough good things about Chris but yeah Manson is one of his biggest influences. Enlisting Tim Skold to produce half of Infamous making songs that sound like Golden Age Of Grotesque songs which is Chris' favourite Marilyn Manson album proves that.

How about Mike IX Williams of the New Orleans Sludge Metal band of EyeHateGod. Or Robb Flynn of Machine Head?

Chris is a wonderful person as well as an amazing vocalist. It’s not all that common for me to find metal vocalists who scream that I can clearly understand like I can for Chris.
You can usually understand screams in metalcore. Most harsh vocalists can be pretty clear, but a lot just don’t use that style
Generally you sacrifice some of the power, or some of the brutality when you enunciate clearly while screaming......but Chris does a particularly good job making the lyrics clear and accessible to the listener!
Chris is just way too precious for this world, my goodness.
Always love watching Chris do interviews. Just seems like an outstanding guy. Motionless in White is one of, if not my favorite band of all time.
I'm an old lady metal head and I can't believe I only found then a couple months ago. Love listening to them before bed.
Chris is such a humble good guy. And I’ve really enjoyed watching his band grow into the amazing band they are today.

It’s just something about his face that pulls me in.
The progression of his cleans from Creatures to STTEOTW has always been astounding. similar to John Coopers progression over the years
