@StraightFoward100 I think Lego has always had that policy but around the time of vietnam is when they really solidified the no machines or weapons of war from modern times. Then they fudged it for star wars and Indiana Jones but still keep the general policy.

@@HTC_Producoes the set is 21310 "old fishing store" and the illegal technique is the roof not being connected, and is just a 2 plates on hinge sitting on top of the building (sorry if i used incorrect terminology, i dont know much about lego)
Using hinges would probably help make it look less like an illegal building technique

Did you forget that military is not allowed in lego? In the Lego company, they only build family friendly sets. As military gear and minifigures can be recognized from wars and stuff around the world.
