Thank you very much my mate :) I’m a big fan of your work man. See I know my way around a soldering iron, replaced capacitors etc on handheld consoles but only hesitated on trying to fix this PVM due to the risks of being shocked. I’d love to get started with it, but just wouldn’t know where to start, and how to troubleshoot a PVM.....
Thanks for the tour of your PVM's! I started with a PVM-14N5U a few months ago. Recently, I bought a PVM-8045Q on eBay for $130, and it arrived safely. Most recently, I bought a PVM-14M2U, had a friend pick it up from the seller, and drop it off at a UPS Store. To my amazement, UPS packaged and shipped it safely! Of all three, the 8045Q is my favorite, but the 14M2U will be the one I use the most.

Just ordered a BVM 9044D should arrive next week. EX BBC too so thats gonna be fun I hope. As long as it dont get smashed in transit 😢 I love the 5/6" models though would love to own a pair of them and hook them up to a computer for OBS preview/program outputs or something Also would love to get an LMD-9050 because while its an LCD its HD and looks like a PVM on the front but the UK as I am sure you have found is very hard to get a specific model of PVM/BVM/LMD usually on ebay the is like 0 in the past 90 days of the models you want urghh
Hi, I just bought a monitor like those but I haven’t been able to get video signal from my ps1 . I conectes the yellow cable Into the video in line A and I don’t get any video . Can you help me ?
Thank you for the amazing video about PVMs. If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get each set for, as I am looking to get into PVMs myself and am finding conflicting data as to what's a fair price...
I have a crt that works great but weighs a tonne shifting it about. Wana get one if these to sit next to my pc set up. Whats a good price for these on ebay usually £100-200
Hi! I was thinking about doing a small video explaining that actually. But basically you need an RGB scart in your SNES, then plug that into a BNC adapter (I got mine from retrogamingcables.co.uk) which then goes into the back of the PVM :) Hope this helps!
I found a pvm - 1454Q (HR - trinitorn) and not sure if it can be the best monitor tv for playing old consoles (snes , new , sega , PS1 & 2 ) in terms of giving true graphics etc What do you think ? Should I buy it ? And how to plug the cables because I can see the ports are kind different from crt tvs !!
@@momoqahtani6545 You'll want to look at the TVL (TV Line) count, with higher generally being a better image. PVMs often have high TVL from what I understand, but you may find a non-PVM with good specs also.
@@SoundToxin good information! So, how do I know if a CRT have high TVL? I believe it would be in the manual instructions, but in which area or how it will be !
