Imo ghosting has become so rampant as to them it's way more fun than just coming clean that the relationship isn't going anywhere. To them it won't really feel like they ghosted you because they'll just stop communication with you and go on about their days to look for better options. Ghosting is way better than being a second option though, I'll rather let the relationship die that way than to be kept around as a second option and being gaslighted for months if not years. Once it happens to you just let them go, don't let them back in because if they can do it to you before, they'll definitely do it again.
I feel like people who ghost others have internal issues with themselves that they may or may not realise. They are avoidant and ‘just’ communicating is difficult for them. It sucks, it’s abusive, it’s pretty much selfish and they should learn to be accountable and seek help because at some point they’ll push away people who really care. It’s very weird. I had a friend that used to ghost me. she would delete my number and make up stories when she returns. One time I decided I was done, when she returned, I didn’t indulge her. She took cue and left for good. I enjoyed this vlog. 😅
