Even though I don't understand Russian (only English and Italian), this is absolutely wonderful. Because of the time difference I couldn't watch this live, so a big, big thank you to the Bolshoi Theatre for putting this up on UA-cam. Whoever had the idea for world ballet day... bravissimo. May world ballet day continue for a very long time. Opening up the world of ballet like this to everyone, including an entirely new audience, only makes it more magical and even more impressive.
When I was in a small company we had our teachers from the Bolshoi and they were an inspiration. They taught me to jump. I love Boris's class because they are simple and get you ready for the rehearsal.
спасибо. I could not watch the Bolshoi part and some of the RB because of the hour (started at 1 a.m. CST...I had to sleep). It was worth waiting for it. Very interesting, especially the work made on contemporary works and the presentations by other companies. Special thkans to Ms. Novikova.

I like the fact the host quickly translated the chats in Russian to English, but I'd absolutely love to know what they're exactly saying as I'm sure some details get lost with those summed up translations.
I really hope that for 2017 World Ballet Day the Bolshoi live stream video would be directly available, like this one. I find it rather troublesome to have to register and sign up.
I would guess it is because the time difference between London/ROB and Paris/POB is only an hour so how would you show both companies on a live-stream when they are more or less working the same hours of the day? They use the fact that the companies are in different time zones so when one company has had their time slot the day for the next company is beginning is about to start...if Paris would start morning class at 09:30am then even before they have finished, ROB would be starting theirs and we have a problem... Maybe they will pick other companies one year...

I love the teacher's musicality. It's a treat for the dancers to have their body and mind daily trained with this musical gifted ballet master.

I love watching the Bolshoi class and their wonderful dancers. It also brings back memories of my time with the Messerers (Sulamith and Micha)
