Several pleas related to the NEET-UG 2024 examination were heard by the Supreme Court today. Some of these pleas concerned allegations of unfair means used in the exam, while others focused on the National Testing Agency's decision to award grace marks to 1563 candidates due to loss of exam time.
During today's proceedings, the Union Government and the NTA informed the Supreme Court that they will cancel and withdraw the results of the 1563 candidates who received compensatory marks. These candidates will be notified of their actual scores obtained in the NEET UG 2024 exam held on May 5, 2024. They will have the option to either keep their original marks (without the compensatory marks) or participate in a re-exam scheduled for June 23, 2024, conducted by the NTA.
The re-exam for these affected candidates will indeed take place on June 23rd, and the results will be announced by June 30th, 2024. This timeline is intended to ensure that counselling for NEET UG 2024 can begin from July 6th, 2024.
The Supreme Court bench noted these submissions, stating that the scorecards issued to the 1563 affected candidates on June 4, 2024, will be nullified. Those candidates will be informed of their actual scores without the compensatory marks. For candidates opting out of the re-exam, their results will be based on their original marks obtained on May 5, 2024. The marks of candidates appearing for the re-exam will be based on that retest, with their earlier marks from May 5, 2024, disregarded.

The rank inflation in NEET is chiefly because of the increase in the number of students in this year, increase in the number of online and offline coaching centres, moderate pattern of questions, increase in the number of repeats

Question level is more or less the same compared to previous yrs. In fact neet 2021 was much much easier. Abt the coaching n dropper part, can u really justify that students have grown so damn smart in one single yr that the inflation is much more than what was anticipated in coming 10 yrs. A person scoring 300 got around 2 lac rank last yr but now is getting around 7 lacs. 85k pe barely 600. Bhai hum itne smart kaise hogaye ek Saal mein hame hi Pata nahi chala

If 655 is the cut off for this yr then how can a kid keep hopes and prepare for the next yr?

No Reneet genuinely hard working students are so depressed. Please thought their actual mental condition.
Someone needs to investigate all registrations that were done during the extended period from 9-10 April, their exam centres and their marks.
1. Were the aspirants who received grace marks the same aspirants who registered during this extension period?
2. In certain centres, there were allegations that invigilators filled up the OMR sheet where certain aspirants left those answers they didn't know as blank. Were those aspirants, the same aspirants whose registration was done during the extension?
3. If an aspirant had enough time and answered all the questions, where does the question arise as to how those students gets grace marks for losing time?. Why weren't they allowed an extended time during the same exam date corresponding to the time lost.
Such a important profession exam has become fun students work hard right from class 8.
It's a profession where student give his youth takes 10 good years to became a post graduate doctor and a very hard course which takes time ,hard work,money,starts earning late,not earn proptionally fair only there love to this profession child prefer to go.
And if such happens.......
Retest for top two lakh students will settle this issue and actual performers will emerge
NTA SHOULD BE MADE MORE RESPONSIBLE
THE BREACH OF RESPONSIBILITY SHOULD BE MADE PUNISH ABLE OFFENCE

Sir regarding question paper leakage in NEET exam going viral. I am watching discussion in front of cji, I think all the information on your table but taking proper judgment in which way it leaked and how it may spread and at what time reached to students and how many students got profited and get through and is it necessary to conduct re exam. All this type of question is raised in front of cji.
Sir as for as my knowledge students are more information on such things than the government officals as you coated to get the information. But students are not aware of agent those who are leaking the question paper.
Sir I think as you know question paper leaking from the professor group they are setting paper and no body is monitoring them. And the second possiblity is from the printing press where they printed is not provided proper security. Whatever way is the leaked, I think the question paper is getting one day before to the main agent when the date of examination is conducted, suppose the question paper is leaking in bihar and the agent may be neighboring state in the border area city so that one day before only the required person going and collecting and bringing it in there private vehicles. And they have many sub agents those who are making money. The question paper only delivered to the students at early morning after 2am at the same date of comensment of exam and students will take it in groups and they will prepare or they will take it experts or coaching centers and they will write the exam. Hear the agent will not be in the same state where it question paper is leaked so it is difficult to trace the agent. And all we know question paper spreading is of course is by electronic mean.
So I request the supreme court cji to conduct re exam and getting the result and you can compare with the results already you have with you. So that you can come to know the place where all it is speeded and those who are all got beneficiaries and it will helpful in keeping more vicil on it and it will help to take necessary action immediately.
I hope cji will take necessary steps and arrangement in malfunction happens in question paper leakage and do needful in transparent way for the eligible candidates.

In 2023 or earlier exams results one can find that only 26000 students crossed 600 marks..but in 2024 there as many as 80000 students secured 600 plus marks.. this shows that there are huge level spread of papers.. so if not all re neet but at least it should be for 450 plus marks students
What is so in conducting a RENEET...... Money, arrangements, administrative compulsions, fraudster or honest students who is asking for NO RENEET are how many in numbers among 24 lac... It is hardly 50000/-
