I just want to make one comment on what Maj. Adil remarked about General Chishty. I don't think we need to attach too much accuracy to his bragging about his pushing of Ziaul Haq into the implementation of the martial law. I was old enough at the time to be a witness to history. Indeed Zia was reluctant, but it was because of the immense obligation he was under with regard to Bhutto, as well as in awe of him. Actually it was the unsustainable public pressure which forced Zia's hand. Furthermore, even after diposing Bhutto, Zia was seen meekly sitting across his benefactor at the government house in Murree. Later he even allowed Bhutto to do canvassing, and it was only Bhutto's arrogance which got him into trouble. He didn't realise where the power now lay, and began to threaten Zia that he would soon be cleaning latrines in Quetta with his oversized moustache. If he had bided his time until he would have won the elections, the story might have been different.

Being a common Pakistani citizen i am of the view that no one from outside can defeat Pakistan.Our enemies have now planned to weaken us from inside and the way in which our political and financial instability is worsening and the way in which the constitution of Pakistan is loosing its importancd shows that our enemies have achieved their basic goals and now practical action only is needed in which the people of Pakistan and our security forces may come face to face and in this way all of us may come under the domination of foreign masters and they would give us internal freedom only,we may loose our foreign freedom.

I feel that this time it will be difficult to control the anger of general public particularly the youth of Punjab, whole of the Punjab. I have strong trust and faith in the power of the middle class and even well aware agricultural class of Punjab and they will save Pakistan for good. Another reason is the economic hardships will be the key driver of mass agitations particulelery in large cities.
