We haven’t stayed at Pontins Prestatyn for quite a few years. When our daughter was really young, we went regularly because it was a cheap holiday, Mon-Fri for £59!
We honestly never had a bad apartment. They check in was done in the entertainment hall. The most annoying thing about Pontins for me, having to pay £10 more to be on the lower floor.

Filing location in the early 1970’s for the Holiday On The Buses and to be fair not a lot changed! We are booked for next august as the on the buses fan club do a weekender there. Looks, er, lovely!

We go to cayton bay tenting 2 adults 3 kids £50 on pitch up with all the wrist bands included we absolutely love it a great cheap getaway. As long as the kids enjoy it then it doesn't matter where they go. Make happy memories.

Blimey, could need counselling after staying there. At first I thought that fish was some sort of meat. Instead of all the prison overcrowding should send them there.
I went to pontins with kids in near Liverpool I thought I was entering maplins hedi high about 10 years ago it was cheap but oh my god pal it was rougher than metal sandpaper but hey they was living nice people who would give you there last pound
That's just the inflation Chris. Bought a large chips, two fish and a sausage for me, my brother and mum on Thursday, and that was 21 quid. Ours were cooked to order, so we also waited a 15 minutes or so.
They filmed, "The Great Escape" at that HOLIDAY camp.
They must of filmed it at a 5 star Holiday camp, If they filmed there they try escape twice as fast making the film runtime much shorter.

There's free wi-fi, it just doesn't reach all the chalets.
You can go somewhere near reception to use it.

Looking at those buildings I couldnt work out what was missing.. then I realised there was no pitbulls running around no shell suits no drunken slags no string vests no broken glass and no couples rolling around in the street lol

That batter could be cooked in beef dripping which turns it quite brown and is very popular in certain areas. Didn't look great for the price though to be fair and I'm surprised they had much fish to source from the area with that many bloody seagulls around 🤣👍
I'd put it down to the oil not been changed in a few years 🤣 at least Chris will be able to reminisce when he's older about that time he got the shits at pontins 🤣🤣🤣 good times.

We went to all different Pontins as kids around 50 years ago and it was the best place on the planet. My wife and I stayed at Camber Sands around 6 years ago and it is an absolute shit hole. Nobody seemed to give a toss, rubbish everywhere, the chalets were ready for demolition and the staff had every reason to be hacked off, such a shame that it didn't get the investment that Butlins did.
Can't get over Pontins, Place reminds me of the area in 2019 Chernobyl TV Mini series,

That's dear for 2 nights not even school holidays! I use the camp for a base for prestatyn rhyl and landuddno in august school holidays for 7 nights 189 in the sale I buy food off camp from tesco aldi and lidl in prestatyn centre 2 mins up road in caror taxi or 15 min walk there is also a brilliant chippy in prestatyn town centre by train station called carls chippy its gorgeous fish cooked fresh to order huge portions I never eat on camp oh and you didn't have a fridge what the hell I would of demanded one like I say I use the camp mainly as a base for all the surrounding areas I take t towels and towels with me etc
No internet access, bliss . Good on you

I want to thank my whole-heartedly thank my parents for A) never taking me to a place like this and B) working hard enough to be able to take me and my siblings on proper holidays, both in the UK and abroad throughout my childhood.
