How would you rate this Dovo Primo for efficiency and blade feel ? I've seen someone say it is a bit more efficient than the Merkur 34c, is it true ?

The head looks like an upgrade of the Merkur close comb series.

This primo dovo razor is so smooth and no cuts that i get with blackland razor..it has a very manoverable head..your reviewof this razor was so accurate .so many details you mentioned in 3 minutes of this revie..it also has a very thick chrome finnish..Buy this razor , you wont be disappointed and 50.00 is a fair price...great gift for a cartridge user..no cuts agile razor..doug boca raton Florida..😂❤

@@geofatboy You definitely should hit them up. They seem quite responsive as they took action on something I suggested to them very quickly. Otherwise, now that almost 13 years have passed since that legendary video and I look quite different, there's a bit more of an appeal to go public with it, but I'd probably still have to ask my "co-stars" for permission too, so I'd have to reconnect with them somehow. 🤣
Dovo is the mother company of Merkur. They are famous for their shavettes and straight edge razors. So it is probably made by Merkur for them.
Dovo and merkur have ended their relationship very recently. I believe this razor is actually made by Dovo

Correct. They split and this is a new design by dovo. From what I have read it is based on the 34c but still slightly different in geometry. Several people have described it as a bit more efficient than the 34c.
They did split off a while ago. Not sure exactly why but it's now 2 separate companies.
What’s the blade gap on that razor and exposure? Did the tabs of the blade stick out the sides?
You can see at 3:02 that there is a very slight overhang.
Looks like the same head that's on all the other Merkur razors, but with a nicer handle!
I know looks should be secondary to performance, but yeah, that razor looks very nice.
It's always nice to have both!

My primo 1 didn't have solingen Germany stamped on mine just blank,, is that good or bad?
...all the other safety razors soon stopped weeping a when they saw how many turns it took to tighten it up!😂😂👊

I knowest that some of the blades from my stepmom country shave me good! but them cheap china ven da hagen blades don't shave me good! and on the box they clam design in chin blades from Germany! the gellitte line of blades shave me the best with the mild open comb razer! not that cheap ven da hagen butterfly razer! u will feel any blade u put in it! the art of shaving have good open comb razers

Man, all these tutorials and reviews of how to properly shave. Can you do one too show us how to IMPROPERLY shave? Don't actually hurt yourself doing it, but point out the wrong way things are done so those of us with leaky raw hamburger necks can figure out what we're doing wrong.

Looks Good Dovo Primo Safety but I not get It until I thought to buy Shave Nation SN246 Open Comb Safety Razor I wanna prove some more agressive besides I am until Beginner :) but I have time to think the options , just I only have 1 Razor for the moment this is Qshave Double edge closed Comb I Happy with that but I open to prove another brands 😌

Hey Geo. The S at the front of words in German is read as an English Z. So it's more like a Zolingen (in English).
What gives you that idea? I was born a German and grew up in Germany - and Solingen is to be pronounced just as it is spelled. Should be like “soul”Ingen in the pronunciation.
Uh Oh! Set me straight on the pronunciation. I don't want to be saying it incorrectly. Google Translate audio says zolingen...
