- This morning, I spoke at my annual environmental summit I co-host with my dear friend, President Van der Bellen, the president of Austria. I spoke about the unbelievable power of technology transforming the clean energy crusade. 7 million people die every year from pollution. The Russian missiles launched into Ukraine are funded by our addiction to fossil fuels. There is blood on our hands. We have a moral obligation to use the technology available to us to create a clean energy future.
God bless Arnold. I doubt there would be a better role model in human history. He is a success story and a noble man and Im glad to live in the same time with him

There's a lot of countries that need to shade their land to cool and grow easier those fresh moist plants. Solar panels can even heat water so at some point, they need to be. We shouldn't think either of growing plants with car combustion, it's not like plant matter to cook a meal like a log, it's fossil fuel. Hope people keep going the right way before veins on the forhead bursts.

Now with gas/oil prices it is starting to become cheaper to buy 10k more expensive electric car instead of normal one... The diffrence is paid quite fast in the end

Thank you for this wonderful speach, many down to Earth facts. We need to learn to face our problems rather than masking them.
We in the Western world are so fortunate to live in incredible democracies that function. We do not live in a state of fear and we can voice our opinions without fear of persecution. Yes, there are problems, but the people ultimately hold the power, and it is the job of politicians to serve us.
By being proactive in holding our governments to account, we can make sure our government are shifting our energy infrastructure to renewables and offering grants and subsidies to innovative research. We can make sure that new regulation is passed and enforced so that corporations who profit from the continuous use of pollutants have no choice but to shift their business models to finding solutions rather than contribute to them.
Remember, corporations seek to make shareholders happy, if the reality becomes that sustainable and green business practice is the more profitable route, they will change their practices. If you are a shareholder, pay attention to what your organisation(s) are doing, and challenge corporate goals if they cause negative externalities.
However, there will be challenges, corporate lobbying can be the antithesis of progress. When threatened, they will use funds, research, and campaigning to either buy political favour, counterpoint new policy suggestions, counter research, and misconstrude information to win public favour and downplay the effects of their products and the effectiveness of proposed policies. This has been done time and time again for decades, tobacco companies and chemical companies just being two examples. But we cannot afford to let this happen with climate change.
So write to your political representatives, make sure they do not have conflicts of interest, and make sure they are voting on policies in a way that represents you. If enough people do this, we will be one step closer to winning this climate emergency.
