- Soo... yeah. I did a thing.
The moment I saw that there was an animation meme contest held with one of my favourite songs I thought 'why not have a go and animate a meme in the span of a month?'...
Oh boy, it was really, really hard. Making this only made me appreciate animators even more, especially animators who do this either for their living, plan to make a living out of it or as a hobby. You guys put so much effort into your work to create masterpieces, literally animating your characters and stories, that you deserve a lot of appreciation for your work and efforts put in!

There is a story to this animation for anyone who is interested - it's about my shape-shifting dragon, Ahksia, who loses her mind to an unknown entity I called the Krel-volk. The main colour scheme of each entity tell what attracted the demon to its host, and it's usually based on the emotional state of the victim (anger, sadness, fear etc.)
Unlike most shape-shifters of her kind, Ahksia is not incredibly skilled in the 'shape-shifting'. Only capable of the basics all hatchlings can do. But when it comes to her element, she is one of the most skilled and talented users...

I'm glad you all enjoyed this animation, it will be somewhat of a long-time before a new meme like this will be made, but it will be here someday. For now, I'm working on a few comics and an official 'thank you' video for this channel to welcome all new subscribers... but for now let me rest after this beast of a project.

I definitely do not have enough words to describe how impressive it is in terms of animation, direction, colouring and time management!! It is incredible how you've managed to balance between this, your work on DeviantArt and your personal life! It is a great way to introduce Ahksia's character and bring her design to life!
I think that the amount of experience and recognition are the real prize here, though it would be great if you'll be able to win the contest as well. It is utterly satisfying to know an artist from fairly early on and see them grow each day and get closer to what they aspire to be, and this project was an enormous leap forward for you in the field of animation!
I cannot really imagine what you might be able to do when given more time to polish your next projects (without a tight schedule, I mean), and with all the experience from this one as well!
Take your time to rest before your next project, you deserve it after all the hard work!

NICE! I love the dragon's design. I wish I knew how to animate and post my animations on youtube,But I can't get editing softwares, or flipaclip(my best bet for animating).

Hi could I ask what animation programme you use and if it’s free or not? I love your animations! They are soo smooth!
All programs used are listed in the description - Krita for the animation (key frames) and Hitfilm Express for the whole editing (adding music, effects etc). Krita is totally free to download and used as both an art and animation program, two in one!
