Y'know, I wish Aeroblast had a 50% chance of inflicting PLA's Frostbite as a counterpart to Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire burns, the increased crit rate is nice and all but I just don't think that effect is cutting it for a mon like Lugia in the slightest
It's crazy that lugia has I think always been the only mon that gets aeroblast which sucks compared to Sacred fire but then they gave it to Entei which i'm all for but aeroblast deserves to be stronger
I have called out the same thing about pokemon accuracy being rigged years ago, only to be humbled by some players who happened to work as a statistician. His logic was like if you missed 90 accuracy 3 times, then that's 0.001 probability which will eventually occur normally if you have played thousand games
that's a good way to put it, though even in my case ive played many multiple thousands of games and missed more than what the accuracy should have been 😬
Lugia mostly need a special version of body press to use that monstrous 154 sp def. Make it a water move so that lugia finally has claim to the ocean protector title.
@@MedicalBillz to be fair, lugia wasn't born as the ocean protector but rather became it's protector so it's not technically from the ocean. Also, psychic type was still perceived at the time to be one of the best types (this is right after gen 1). Also Lugia was psychic so they could do a movie on it where it could talk with telepathy. Still, Lugia does need a better link to water than just being able to use surf and hydro pump.
I wonder if/when Lugia will drop to OU. If it didn't have Multiscale and Roost I think it would have already because its offensive prowess is not great
@@jmcbango fair, I forgot the 110 speed. However, the insane power creep of Gen 9 can out weigh it IMO. If it had only one or the other of the things I mentioned, it would drop for sure. If it had neither, I think it’d get the Deoxys defense treatment.

You can transfer fully evolved mons before their normal level (including level 1) using Go and transferring through Home iirc, so it's legal on cart and thus on showdown

It would fit way better with Lugia's stats and team role too!
