2:00:14 Pat got insanely lucky here because that item is not supposed to be just lying down there. Normally there is a hanging pot on the cliffside that you're supposed to shoot at to bring down and get the item. Pat must have somehow nailed it with a body or something while he was exploring
@@maudjito About an hour earlier he gets a tip that shackles can reveal secrets and he just sorta nods and goes along with it, so if that first one didn't break it then he probably tried it again at some point in the next hour. I'll admit to doing the exact same thing. You can only see so many 'hidden path ahead' -> 'no horse ahead' signs before you get tired and assign a shackle to your quick slots.
you know, something that's mildly horrifying that I am only just realizing: Those ghost graves are all actual graves. They are not just a decorative thing an item description clarifies that graves that are old enough will turn ghostly. This land in nearly it's entirety is a massive fucking burial ground.
1:47:40 - I think the idea is that you're getting all these new cool weapons so they're dropping all the upgrade materials you could need to upgrade them. Also they wanted *something* for random enemies to drop so I guess this is better than crafting materials?
also the dlc isnt meant to be beaten after the whole game is done it's meant for like half way to two thirds done before you go in so of course it's not gonna be dropping end level crafting stones and the like from the get go.
The best way to use crafting in Elden Ring is to make one each of several really strong items and then put them in your hotbar so your Mimic can use as many of them as they want whenever you summon them.
You know, Pat seeing those lightning goats and just without even saying anything attempting to fight and kill them really demonstrates why everyone fears and/or hates the tarnished in this world. The whole mission statement is "kill it and see if is has a source of power inside it."

so.... been playing it myself.... and dear lord am i thankful i went faith/int built. my character is in NG+ and melee seems to be a total death sentence even with 60 vigor. iron wall talisman and +5 in the scudatree boost (there are a lot of those things around) like i get 4 shot by regular enemies at times, and the poise world bosses have, let alone story bosses, is insane. shit's fcked up. though saying that..... i did defeat the super boss of the DLC already so... there is that (dear lord shard spiral still kicks ass)

@@dawggydawgtown Scaling doesn't account for a high FP pool and it certainly doesn't catch up to an absurd level 321 build. Pat can just stand still and spam skills until nothing's left alive. And that's more or less what he's been doing. The run is more about consuming content unimpeded than playing a game, and it's not really fun to watch.

The backhand blade is such a cool and unique weapon, because it allows you to sprint, attack, and continue to sprint in a single smooth motion.

2 years later and Pat is weirdly consistent in annihilating bosses I got stuck on while conversely getting bodied by bosses I had no problem with.
