The self is made up of a bundle of memories put together by thought accumulated from the past if their is insight into this fact when actual death comes their is no self to die only death of the physical organism and nothing else, you are out of the stream of consciousness.
What if the only thing you are attached to is the memory of a loved one, or a pet and think of them every day? Isn't that love? I wonder what K. would have said about that
Good question. I have the same doubt. But, I feel K would not like constant thinking of even a loved one. There is no indication he thought constantly of his Brother who died and whom he loved so much.
Your memory of a pet is a psychological image. Therefore its an attachment, still to your memory. You cant strive to be free from attachment, cause that means being attached to be free from attachments. As he said death is now and memories and thoughts are in past. And let me add- when uou die you’re free from all attachments.
I realise this comment is from a year ago, but maybe i can help. When a pet dies, this happened in my life last year, you do everything you can in his last moments to make it easier, make the right decisions, and do your best to make him feel not alone. After he or she is dead, you're left with the memory. Photos make you cry, the blankets he used to lay on are in the house and you have to see them, his food bowl, the places you used to walk together. These memories exist, and you may have love for your pet, but that love is not the memory. The constant thinking is not doing anything to help or comfort your pet after he is dead, it is merely an attempt to comfort yourself. Once this is seen clearly, the emotions that seeing an old dog leash triggers are still there at first, but there is no delusion about those memories. I did what i could while he was alive, when i was aware he was dying, and now i do not feel obligated to think about him, neither do i suppress thoughts about him. Revisiting memory has nothing to do with love, because the memory is not him.

A somewhat strange representation of reincarnation. Which doesn't really have much to do with getting a better car. Infact the goal in most branches of Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism is to reach a spiritual level where you are not reincarnated.

This is so powerful, dying to self every single moment of each day. 🙏
We're so caught up with our lives that we don't remember to die every moment. Or maybe we don't want to.
@@Familyproud-e9h our human conditioning is very strong. But we keep trying :P

Why most of the extracts are simply NOT available anywhere in the internet not mentioning the official channels of JK ?

Blau is german for blue.
Isn't there anything after death ? There is no soul ?
I am afraid no one can answer that.
The soul is our invention, like God.
You live in the life here after. You survive death.
