@susanjardim4431 She said in at least one of her videos that the entire reason she created the 'clutterbug system' is because when she used to organize a client's home without it, the client would call her back in 2-4 weeks asking for it to be done again. When she realized that people need to organize in different ways and she honored those ways, they stayed organized. Hence, the 'Clutterbug" system!
The last one, the bedroom, I am sure they changed the bed lol the idea to move the bed under the window is great, the bedroom looks nicer but.... not pratical! they can't use the window and they need to use it:)
Cas, you low-key saved my marriage! 😅😅 My husband is a butterfly and absolutely WILL NOT put things away unless they’re on hooks or in clear bins in his drop zones. But I didn’t know this until I had him take your test. Now we have less squabbles about his “messiness” because he’s not “messy” anymore! So thank you! 😇😇 (P.S. We found out he has ADHD, which helped explain soooo much.)
Thank you to everyone that allowed Clutterbug into their home for filming their private messy areas! It takes guts and I loved the duck tape corset btw :)
It sure helped me I can see a lot that I have done the same ..Im between a bee and I'm almost a cricket, when I do some editing.. I concisely work on keeping flat surfaces clear& clean..& its made me concious of what I buy or bring home .. if theres no space..i blink it out of my mind ..
@@katetanti2114 I saw a quote the other day that said "Look around you. Look at all that clutter. That used to be money" haha! I was like "yuuuup" so that's cool that you're more conscious now about what you buy!
I 100% agree!. Thank you to all the families were willing to share. this made for such a valuable and inspired learning experience. AMAZING end results all around.
Pegboard tip I learned: using a marker, outline which item gets hung on which peg. Not only will you see where the items go after use, but you'll WANT to put them away and fill in those empty outlines.
@@spoiledwitch82 that’s very true. But my grandfather lived through the depression, and he’d unbend nails and save them in coffee cans. He didn’t get rid of anything if it could be used.
This might help those who have trouble finding their organization style because it varies: For digital stuff, I’m a cricket - NOTHING on the desktop, but everything tucked away into folders within a detailed, logical hierarchy. For crafty stuff, I’m a total bee - cover fabric in this open box, trims in that one, lace in a third, and myriad open containers for scissors, paperclips etc (no lids, no doors, or I won’t find it or use it, easy retrieval is KEY). Same for my wardrobe - I need detailed categories but I MUST SEE EVERYTHING. For cleaning, paperwork and exercising - the not-so-fun stuff - I’m a butterfly. I need to see the mop, or I won’t mop, I need to see the dishcloth or I won’t wetwipe, but I can store those things a little more jumbled. For papers, broad categories are key because otherwise I’ll give up before I’ve even started. So yeah, it can vary between different areas of your life.
Yes! Thank you for this. I tried the quiz and got my “critter” category but always felt like it didn’t quit fit. I know Cas says that we’re usually not just one but I couldn’t figure out the other types I was and where.
!! So true! I think I prefer Uber organization that is hidden. I obsess over organization to the extreme, and I don't want to see stuff everywhere (no clutter!) But... Out of sight, out of mind. If it's not visible, I forget it's there, so it's just not practical for me. And... I have ADHD, so it has to be EASY, or again, not practical. So, Uber organization that I prefer, isn't practical for me. So even though in my heart I WANT to be a Cricket (and organizationally, I LOVE My categories!) But My body and brain say I must be a butterfly? Visual & broad categories... If only I could make Cricket style work for me...
Been following you for YEARS! I lost my daughter and then moved halfway across the country and everything fell apart and I lost my way. Recently started following your videos again and you inspired me to get my new home organized and beautiful and HAPPY again… THANK YOU!!
I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find a way to be happy again. I am glad to hear that you are trying to rebuild yourself again. I wish you the best ❤
When you watch so much Clutterbug you've already seen every single video from all the sample videos she shows in a best of video but you still watch it again anyways because everyone loves Cass!
Organization isn’t about perfection; it’s about efficiency, reducing stress and clutter, saving time and money, and improving your overall quality of life.
Omg I’m SO a Bee, and a crafter. Before I was diagnosed with adhd last year, my husband had actually helped me deal with the Bee habits a lot. My craft room was so overloaded with stuff! He made me look at things, and if they were “someday projects”, pack them in totes and move them to the basement. Then, months later when I was in the mood to sort and organize that stuff, it was easier to realize and admit to myself what I probably would never get around to using, and was therefore much easier to get rid of.
Congratulations! We are celebrating our 20th next month (and also have no plans yet!). One creative thing I've done in the past is I had his watch repaired, something he would never do on his own. Then I made a treasure hunt for him to find it, with clues hidden around the house. The first clue was in his back pocket (oh I'm sneaky like that). He loved it and still talks about it. So I guess my advice is to find something from your past and bring it to life again. Recreate a first date; day-rent his beloved sports car from his bachelor days; take him somewhere he's always wanted to go, break out the wine from your wedding day that's been sitting on the shelf. To us, special isn't about things, but memories. Good luck!
I "kidnapped" my husband on one of our anniversaries, I made reservations packed his clothes then went to his workplace, I drove around the parking lot until I found his car and then waited for him to come out to it, when he did, he was to see me, I told him to get in, be quiet, and not ask any questions he was so surprised and shocked he couldn't barely speak for awhile anyway I drove to the hotel, it was about twenty miles when we got there, I handed him the bag and told him to carry it and follow me we checked in, and when we got to our room, I said you are all mine for two days and nights no phone, computers, just us and the scenery it was wonderful; the hotel was in Yosemite, and we spent that entire weekend exploring it was amazing, and he still brags about it to his day [it was ten years ago for our fifteenth now what to do for our thirtieth which is coming up quick!
OMG, you are hilariously adorable, respectful and kind to the people. BUT more importantly, you SERIOUSLY KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!!!! Great tips and ideas. Bless you.
The reason I was overly cluttered came from a very sad and traumatic experience. I had always been very tidy but when my now ex-husband's serial adultery did not stop despite praying, going through family therapy and pleading with him my mind just went into a very dark place and my house reflected my life in that disorganized fashion. I'm happy to say that after my divorce on January 3rd, 2023 I am recovered and have been cleaning my house non-stop since then. Not disorganization in a home have to do with being lazy. They are different experiences in each one of us that might cause it. I wish the best to everybody who's trying to get their life and their clutter straightened out.
Since the Christmas holidays, because of YOU, I have decluttered and organized almost every inch of my house…I have recently been suffering from anxiety and NOW seeing a clutter free space has been life changing for me! Thank you for making videos to help people like me!
So happy for you💌 I'm still on my way getting it done I just live in a house were other people don't care Which makes it even more difficult but with God all things are possible 🙏🏻🙏🏽😊
I totally “get it!” My situation is like yours. I’m a Virgo trying to accept my daughter-in-law’s different priorities. I’m afraid my standards have changed as I can’t do what I want to do. So I try to accept things as they are. It’s not always easy. But I don’t want my family to be uncomfortable. I think we all want a happy home with love. So we accept what we probably can not change. I’m not going to die on this hill. So I do what I can and sometimes I ask for the help. My daughter-in-law does so much for me, so I don’t want to hurt her feelings. It’s just not worth it. We move on 🥰 in the “not so” perfect house.
I’m watching this video and two sanity-saving tips came to mind. #1: using lingerie mesh bags for family socks. Each person puts their dirty socks in the bag after use. When you do the laundry, each person has all their socks matched and clean. #2: when my kids had bunk beds, I bought Full size comforts and top sheets. I would tuck the excess under the mattress at the back so it was easier to make the bed every day. I hope these two tops help someone else as much as it did me 😊
Valentine Date night idea: Guys love the simple things. Send kids out for the night. Turn off your phones. Order in his favorite food and do movies or games, whichever he prefers. Just give him your undivided attention. He will love it! ❤ This is such a great video! ❤
As a user experience designer, one of my favorite takeaways from user behavior courses is “users aren’t lazy, they’re efficient.” I’ve taken this to heart and started to apply it elsewhere in life outside of work, and it’s like what you said at the beginning of this video! People aren’t lazy; if a system doesn’t work for them they’re not going to use it, they’re going to find ways around it, or they’re going to break it trying to make it work.
Get his truck detailed. Set it up with a good local person in your area and take care of scheduling it for him Ata time that works for him. And maybe give him a full day of his favorites? Or make him a "good old days" flipbook of your favorite memories together and things that you're so thankful for where he's really been an amazing partner, dad, provider, whatever is important to him. Doesn't have to be fancy.
I am definitely a ladybug. After watching this, I organized several areas of my kitchen today. This was NOT my plan for the day, and I don’t have a lot of clutter, just needed to make my cabinets flow better🙂 It’s addictive!
I'm a bumblebug haha - I'm working on those cabinets, I like to see it.... behind the door. Except for the stuff I use all the time, like the stiring utensils😊
Cricket living with a bunch of ladybugs here. Works really well! As long as I don’t have to see all our things I don’t mind having open bins and baskets with bigger categories. However, I keep our cabinets and closets tidied because I can’t stand mess even behind closed doors. Realising our organising styles was a game changer for sure. I never understood why my detailed systems didn’t work for everyone else and used to be very annoyed about them cramming everything everywhere. Now I live like a ladybug and enjoy my family actually keeping up with my level of tidiness!
Love to see her do a craft room from top to bottom when you have multiple things that you craft with!! My craft room consists of my Florida room, dining room and my second bedroom.
I cry as I watch these videos. It appears so easy, but with disabling conditions, both physical and mental, I am not sure where to begin. Then I hesitate because I am thinking I will do it wrong, and very little gets done. The thing is, I used to be so organized and uncluttered. Talk about frustration. I am unsure if brain trauma occurred with my PTSD (US Army) and eventually my brain got scrambled for (lack of) organization, or if the lupus and other autoimmune disorders did it, or a combination of any of the above. God bless my dear husband for all the support he provides. I keep trying.
I used to work on something until it was completed, but that was very often overwhelming. What has been working for me recently (and I have accomplished a ton this way) is I work on a little bit at a time in various ways. Sometimes I’ll just take 20 or 30 minutes and hit something as hard as I can… Other times I’ll work on something, and when it becomes overwhelming, I switch and go work on something else, then at another time, I’ll come back to what was overwhelming me, and then I have clarity and renewed ambition. This might not work for everyone, but it has been working really well for me, and I am now actually EXCITED about working on rooms, closets, cupboards, etc. to the point that I’m not getting other things done that I should be doing … LOL … it’s almost like the more I declutter and donate, the more I want to declutter and donate!!! Just try various methods and approaches, and sooner or later, you’ll find one that works for you, and you’ll be so amazed and excited!!! Good luck and blessings!
I might also add, START SMALL!! Just commit to cleaning out one drawer every day… Whether it be a kitchen drawer, dresser drawer, whatever. Then try one cupboard per day, and continue from there. All of those little steps add up, and you’ll be super surprised at how much you can accomplish doing it that way.
@@alemapretsof Checking back in to see if you’ve been able to make any progress?? Remember, even a LITTLE progress is still progress, and should be considered a WIN!!! YOU’VE GOT THIS!!! 👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏
Thank you for explaining to me that bee’s need to go through things slowly! I have tried the declutter challenges and I fail every time. Now I can give myself permission to declutter over days instead of hours. Thank you so much!
I am a Bee! Once I got rid of most of my clothes it became easy. Now I use the new, in old out. I never bring something in without getting rid of something. I recently organized my spare room and am using it for exercise. I even leave my yarn that I crochet with out so;like a Bee, I can see it. Thank you for having the test to help me find my organizing style. 🤗
I think you should write Joe a letter telling him how much you love and appreciate him and why. I think that would mean more to most people than anything else. Also I loved this recap. So inspiring. Now I'm off to declutter again. Thanks so much
Very true with the letter. I didn't think my boss lady liked me, but when she resigned, I wrote a simple letter and gave her a simple gift on her last day. She actually hugged me twice.
Since you have been married 22 years, come up with 22 little things that you know he would really appreciate because you know each other so well. It can be a mix of activities and presents. Examples: 1. Massage 2. Favorite drink 3. Favorite snack 4. A brochure wrapped in a box for the place you will get away. 5. Show tickets 6. Anytime you want to use it pass good for at least 30 minutes of undivided attention. 7. Watching or doing something you don't normally participate in like going to the others favorite sporting event, movie, hiking spot, etc. You get the idea? Good luck! Congratulations on 22 years! Thank you so very, very much for teaching Mr about decluttering.❤
Love the long video. I needed to hear this info again. I think as we grow older and life happens our organizing style changes. I want to say thank you, Cas, your advice helped me get so organized that even my son is cleaning the kitchen and his room. Everything has a home and it's in it's place. Moving from a 3 bedroom and 2 car garage to a small 2 bedroom apt was no easy task. Now I have nothing to do. LoL 😂
I'm a ladybug and once put a thread organizer in my sewing area. (Small apartment, just a corner of another room.) It was a wooden wall hanger with pegs, onto each of which you would put a spool of thread. Oh, how I hated having my threads hanging on the wall like that! Every time I walked by that corner, I had to tidy any loose hanging threads. They always had to be organized by color and size of spool. What a pain to keep it looking good! I'm so much happier with my stuff hidden from sight.
@@dragonfliesfordonna2112 I no longer sew (just decided that I like doing other things more), so I can't really say that I solved that problem. I'd suggest, though, that you organize your stuff in drawers, any type you like as long as they're not transparent. I would think that a cricket could make a separate drawer or section of a drawer for each type of supply, with nice labels on the drawer and whatever other organizational tricks that you like. The part that would be hardest for me would be how to deal with the portions of your projects that are in the middle of being done. Also the sewing machine and such, which you wouldn't want to keep packing up and putting away. In a perfect world, you might have a closet or large cabinet that could be dedicated to your machine and work table - the type of thing that can be closed when you're not actively working. For those of us without space or budgets to allow the optimal solutions, though, I am not sure how we'd approximate a similar outcome.
I’m a ladybug and quilter. I have one of the thread holders you describe as I don’t have a place to store my thread otherwise. My thread is organized by color, too.
@@dragonfliesfordonna2112 Also a cricket and a quilter. I am struggling with this too. I try to only have one or two 'in progress' projects out at any one time. And I have a project box that lets me tidy up at the end of a sewing session. Tools on a cart that goes back into the corner neatly. Baskets and bins behind doors or in a storage area (basement) is my solution. My crafting stuff is still a work in progress on the declutter and organizing side TBH. That and paperwork are my downfall!
Cass! You’re truly so talented and down to Earth. You don’t shame people into making decisions, you just talk it out with them and they see it for themselves!
Make Joe some of his favorite cookies. Or have a candle light dinner. Maybe have the kids wait on you two like little waiters or hostess, but leave you two alone like private dinner for two. Have fun. Just an idea. 💞
Cass -- This is the best You Tube video I have watched of yours. I've been following you on & off for over a year or more and love all you videos, but this one put it all together for me and showed me ways to organize for my style, which I think is a mix between a bee and a cricket. I love detail & having somethings out and some out of sight. Thank you for your humor, too. You brighten my day whenever I turn on one of your videos.
'a little long video'? BUT, so much to learn and be inspired!!! I stopped every now and then throughout this video to go declutter and clean and organise my home 😅 Thk u for all your tips and tricks to a cleaner home and a clearer mind 🙌
Watching I'm thinking to myself I'm for sure a bee then watched butterfly and thought I'm for sure a butterfly lol I think I'm a butterbee 😂 I'm 33 and can't keep things organized to save my life it's an everyday struggle frfr would love for you to come to my house but love that I can watch your videos 😉😊 thanks so much for being you!!!!
Valentine suggestions for something simple would be like a book of coupons for gifts - like homemade cookies, or breakfast in bed, or a coupon to get out doing one of his regular chores (like taking out the trash or whatever) what we call a lazy day coupon in our family. Or just the splurg of a nice lunch out while the kids are in school. It doesn't even have to be on Valentine's Day (because reservations might be hard to get last minute) but basically time together is the best gift.
WOW - I have thought I was a ladybug. I took the quiz and without even knowing it I was answering as a ladybug and not necessarily what I thought. I organized using all the ladybug hacks after watching all the videos and felt like a complete failure. Recently, out of necessity, I used clear acrylic bins to organize my deep pantry so it was a bit easier to see and it works well. Then as I was watching this video and for the first time it hit me - I am not a ladybug, I am a butterfly. I retook the quiz, making sure I answered absolutely honestly and I am a butterfly. Now I see why the organization I spent so much time and money getting into place didn't work. So excited to now start using the right organization style and am confident I can finally be organized. Thank you for all you do.
Oh, and I find I'm a bit of all of them. Depends on what room we are talking about. That in itself is a little overwhelming. Yes, ADHD, but not hyper physically, mine is more of I can't shut down mentally. I don't sleep well because I think. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking. But the videos do help me to better understand strategies. Or at least adapting some of them to what I need. Now all I need is a tiny spark of energy 🥱
I think for Christmas one year I took a empty wine bottle filled it with koolaid (my husband doesn’t like wine). I decorated the bottle with stickers that said love an such. Had two fancy wine glasses an had a friend light some candles just before we got home from shopping. I had just two chocolate cupcakes there one for each of us. It wasn’t anything super fancy or expensive but it was special all the same
Yes yes yes yes yes! I've been so concerned for myself bc of "waking up like Dori" - absolutely WONDERFUL to find connection on that front, Squirrel Sister
I totally appreciated this video. Even though it was long it was packed with great real life solutions. As for Valentines day, it's hard to say what to do for your husband, but it should definitely be something HE likes. Would he like to do something with the guys? Would he like a romantic evening? Would going to a sports event, sport or outdoor activity or even a movie of his choice be fun? Is there a special food you can make for him or bring home for the evening? (restaurants are the worst on Valentines Day). My favorite Valentines day was a special night at home with a candlelit dinner. I made steak and fixings. We had special drinks and we visited around the very small dinner table for a couple of hours with the kids. It was a day for all of us to show our love for each other and just have a nice evening together. The kids have never forgotten it (they're in their 40's now) because it was about being together and laughing and just enjoying each other's company. I hope your evening turns our well!
Cas, you have such good energy, can you do a video on being good natured? Having good vibes? It’s hard enough having adhd. Add - discouraged dark, feeling judged, defensive, off-put, and you’re done for. I love these videos and your vibe 💕
Lol! When you started describing a typical traditional bee… I just started looking around my room and noticed that I love to see my stuff and realized that if I didn’t have what I needed for something then I wouldn’t do it! I’m a traditional bee! Now I just gotta figure out how to embrace my inner bee!
Cas..you are such a happy soul!! That makes others happy too. This video was super long but super helpful. Just listening without actual examples are not so understanding. But when you actually see real people with their real messes and organisation later, it makes so much difference in understanding the concept correctly. Love from India!!
That is insane how the before-after of the lady bug is basically the same, at least on the outside. Her kitchen was spotless before, and it was spotless after. It's the content behind closed doors that were the biggest transformation. I am a mix between a bee and a cricket, I think.
I truly can't thank you enough I absolutely am so grateful I've found ur page a few days ago and have already started my purge and have tossed at least 4 garbage bags full of shit I had a major emergency surgery 2 years ago having my entire large intestine removed and had a bunch of complications and was in the hospital and then a rehab for 3 months straight and it then took me another year just to be able to properly function as a human on my own again and I also went thru a separation at the same time so I have years of collected junk half of which isn't even really mine and I feel so weighed down by it all I've let it get so bad and Ive been so mad at myself over it and I find it so hard to get motivated to do shit but watching ur videos has truly helped me to identify and acknowledge what's going on and begin to change it one small step at a time and I loved the video where u said to start in the bedroom and do it for ur self it's truly helped me and it's nice to actually find someone I can relate to enough to allow it to help me change yow i look at things and once i get going it feels so good to get rid of the junk that ive been carrying around metaphorically speaking
WOW! this was amazing!!! My sister broke her ankle and I am helping her and her family right now. She is such a ladybug, I'm a cricket. Watching this helps me to know how to organize for her so that when she is back on her feet she can maintain it.
When you had the bee at the beginning, I could so relate, cried my eyes out! 😭 I can so understand how good it feels to have your space feel organized! I am a bee too and I have been following you and I have been doing major decluttering in my house for about 2 months now and it is THE BEST FEELING EVAH!!!! I have never been so organized and clean! Thank you for what you're doing to help people. God shines His light out of you and you are changing peoples lives 😍
I recently found your channel and I just love your approach, not only to organization but to life too. You're an absolute breath of fresh air! I'm so happy I found your channel♥
Re: Valentine’s Day-Write a surprise love note and put it in his wallet. Maybe a special homemade breakfast with all his favorites. Even food you normally wouldn’t necessarily provide like bacon, corned beef hash, or whatever he likes. My husband loves cheesy grits and bacon 🥓!
I like it when you give some actual steps to do, like 1) throw out expired food, 2) donate stuff you'll never want to eat...It helps me to tackle my own spaces. Thanks!! FYI, I am definitely a butterfly! and so is my husband.
I’d like to see a similar video where the adults in the family have different organizing style. As for Valentine’s Day, I usually hand make a card and cook a nice meal
With the way things are today I’m looking at my STUFF completely different. I feel that I need to get rid of useless stuff and make room for things that I really need. Things that I feel I need today is food and supplies for my family while they’re still available and affordable. So out with stuff that I can live without.
Love Cas so much! First found her book Clutterbug in the library years ago, and watching her videos here makes me realize how genuinely nice of a person she is!
Today is April 9,2023 and I just learned I am a ladybug, my kids are grown and I moved to Mexico. I do crafts; knitting, card making and scrapbooking. I live in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom house, very little storage. Thank you, you showed me what I need. UA-cam is so helpful! Success to you all.❤
For your hubby for Valentine's Day you could buy something he would need for his hobby or something he likes to do. Gift cards for his favorite store or a book (for the bookworm) about his favorite person, event or location. Replacing camping equipment that's worn out would be great for the camper, fisherman or hunter. Only you would know what to buy. Then start now keeping a list on your phone of things he mentions that he likes.
This is one of the best videos! Showing real people with real messes is very helpful. Usually I'm quite uncluttered but this video made me throw away a whole garbage bag!
I am a HUGE Cricket, and I LOVE everything hidden and put away but hung and/or folded neatly, and not just tossed. 1 of my teacher friends taught me years ago that for kids' artwork/projects, etc. - You laminate only what you really love and get rid of the rest. Then you put the things you're keeping neatly into a bin with a tight lid, and onto a high shelf it goes. Done and Done. I am a caregiver for my mother right now, and we love everything neatly put away. I love to sort and organize everything by LIKE WITH LIKE! That makes so much sense to me.
Love this. I am a cricket living with a ladybug and a butterfly. Macro sorted baskets are a lifesaver for me. They can chuck stuff in and I can organize it 😂. But, I don’t have things stuffed or piled everywhere.
I am definitely a Ladybug. 3-4 summers ago, we had a huge yard sale that covered several tables in a 2-car garage, things on the lawn, and tables (plywood on sawhorses) under our 10 x 20-foot covered patio. My husband looked around at all the stuff and asked me were everything had been "hidden" because nothing looked different in the house. I told him that I knew how to pack and store stuff away. I've learned a lot from watching your videos, absolutely love-love-love baskets and bins, and still have a long way to go. Thanks to a fellow Ladybug.
I wish she could do one for someone who has mental health issues and sometimes don’t have the energy or feel really low and can’t do much organising I would like to have their place organise but easier for someone with mental health.
I don’t think it was too long at all! I really appreciate it and loved every second of it. 😊 Thank you for covering all four organizing styles, it really helps to understand each one better. Thank you so much Cassie!
"Keep it PG people" I almost spit out my coffee. I love this video showing real life people...makes it easier to put it to use in your own home. Im a Ladybug so it's rough when the other people in your home who are less organized. It's a challenge but I get them involved when decluttering, organizing and/or cleaning. When things are all in place, my stress levels are delightful. It's true, clutter creates stress. I usually end a task with "why did I take so long to do that?"
I loved this video Cas! I have multiple organizing styles depending on the room and its function. For example, in my kitchen and bedroom I am a ladybug, my bathroom (skincare and hair supplies )because I’m a skincare consultant & retired hairstylist, I have a lot of products, so I have a very detailed organization style for products. But in my craft room, I’m a butterfly 🤷🏻♀️ 😂 ❤about Valentines Day, for my husband, I’m making a few pairs of customized boxers for him, something similar to your Christmas pj’s for the family. I’m not going to mention what I’m putting on them with HTV, but use your adult humor /imagination 😊 ❤
@@kathystearns9012 hahaha! I didn’t know it was possible until I started organizing and I stepped back and took a long hard look at myself and said, hmm 🤔… can this be right? lol 🐞 🦗 🦋
Okay okay, I'll say this: socks...so many socks! Seeking soulmate 😆 awesome! But the landscaper guy...his reactions and plug for his business had me laughing so hard, what a good guy! Him and his wife are sweet 💓
I discovered I’m a bee and my adult daughter who works with me at our business is a ladybug. How eye opening this is for our struggles!! That explains why I can’t find anything at her desk and why everything must remain on top of my desk. Anything in a drawer doesn’t exist. Lol. I’m moving this week and in organizing my new home I will keep this bee and visual details in mind. I think my husband is visual for sure and not detail minded, I forgot what that is called, but I call it messy with hoarder tendencies - our last move he was recovering from a surgery and 6 years later he still complains about his things I sold.
I AM a total “turbo” ladybug!!!! 😢😢😢 Had to reschedule my professional organizer because other things needed attention ! So I turned to you tube for some advice in the meantime!!! You ARE a total Genius!!! Thank you! Wonderful content! I can’t believe you are not on HGTV and have like badzillion followers! Life saver!! Thank you!!!🙏
I just wanna say thank you to Marge for sharing her home with us!! Thank you very much. I’m working on organizing my house while I watch you do yours. 😊 you’ll never know it, but you are impacting inspiring, so many others
Hi Cass! OMG I’m a huge fan for years and you’ve helped me organize my house with your positive (and humorous) inspiration as well as your insightful tips for different organizing styles. This has been especially useful for helping my husband, even if he has no idea! Hehe. Anywho… your question at the end was so sweet. I think a simple note aka love letter to Joe with 22 reasons why you’re grateful that he is your person would be an impactful yet simple gesture on a day dedicated to love. ❤️
I'm sure you know this: tidy folks are simply too lazy to search for stuff!!! Txs for identifying MY organizing style - definitely a cricket! Having to live in my very busy studio means I want a quiet-looking space, but everything in its place and super easy to find!
Wonder video! I definitely love your way of organizing much better than so many of the popular trends because it’s just so much more realistic. Every person is different!
We don't do Valentine's day really. We do a nicer meal at home but that is about it. Also putting hooks behind the bedroom door from the last couple's video has been a GAME CHANGER for our bedroom and I turn my stress level.
@@deborahpetipas9365 right? I love it... I knew I didn't want and over the door hook or an actual hook on the back of the door because I don't like the look of them and also it didn't really solve the problem of ease bof use. We bought a multi hook organizer and put it on the wall behind the door and man my husband gets nagged a WHOLE LOT LESS now. Lol he was famous for just leaving his pj's on the floor by the bed and it drove me nuts. He also used to just plop his jeans on top of the dresser that were to clean to wash but had been worn so not clean enough to hang back up. Now those things have a place and wow it made a huge difference.
This is my second time watching. It was a big help the first time. This time I was watching with a view to help my 96 year old friend, she is a different bug(a bee I think, and I am a cricket. Thanks again.
I'm such a ladybug 🤣. Started life thinking I was a butterfly, and the anxiety almost drove me mad with seeing all my clutter in my face! Thank you for helping me understand my self more. Since I found you like 2 or 3 years ago, I feel like a brand new person!
Am I the only one who would love to see the space a few months after Cas organized it? I want to see how easy it was for the client to maintain
It is possible you put the products use in the videos ? Please
That was my first thought! 😂
The last one, the bedroom, I am sure they changed the bed lol the idea to move the bed under the window is great, the bedroom looks nicer but.... not pratical! they can't use the window and they need to use it:)
Nice ❤
Cas, you low-key saved my marriage! 😅😅 My husband is a butterfly and absolutely WILL NOT put things away unless they’re on hooks or in clear bins in his drop zones.
But I didn’t know this until I had him take your test. Now we have less squabbles about his “messiness” because he’s not “messy” anymore! So thank you! 😇😇
(P.S. We found out he has ADHD, which helped explain soooo much.)
Thank you to everyone that allowed Clutterbug into their home for filming their private messy areas! It takes guts and I loved the duck tape corset btw :)
I was thinking the same thing!
My grandfather did this with his tools in the garage. He always knew if something was missing and what it was.
Unless you get rid of an item then you got the chalk outline of something nagging at you that you no longer have lol
@@spoiledwitch82 Use white correction fluid or paint over with the same color as the board
@@isaidwhatisaid4130 Good fix I like that
@@spoiledwitch82 that’s very true.
I, too, realized that I am a mix of “critters”, depending on what n where… awesome insight!!!
~Lyn W, Nampa ID
Yes! Thank you for this. I tried the quiz and got my “critter” category but always felt like it didn’t quit fit. I know Cas says that we’re usually not just one but I couldn’t figure out the other types I was and where.
I feel like a cricket bee stuck in a butterfly body!
!! So true! I think I prefer Uber organization that is hidden. I obsess over organization to the extreme, and I don't want to see stuff everywhere (no clutter!)
But...
@@_adjective_Jane You said exactly what I have been struggling with!!!! I want to be a cricket so bad, but I have to see or I will forget everything!
One valentines I gave my husband a jar filled with paper hearts and on each heart I wrote why I loved him
Awwww that's awesome 🥰
Love that
When you watch so much Clutterbug you've already seen every single video from all the sample videos she shows in a best of video but you still watch it again anyways because everyone loves Cass!
Organization isn’t about perfection; it’s about efficiency, reducing stress and clutter, saving time and money, and improving your overall quality of life.
I saw you comment this exact thing on another video I watched lol
That has been my major problem! If it’s not perfect I won’t do it.

@@That_Girl_Meliss yes but it's so true.
Good luck!
That's so lovely!
Happy Anniversary 🎉
Bless you.
Ooh, can you revisit these families and see what stuck? :)
You're welcome!
So happy for you💌
I'm still on my way getting it done I just live in a house were other people don't care
Which makes it even more difficult but with God all things are possible 🙏🏻🙏🏽😊

I hope these two tops help someone else as much as it did me 😊
Tip #2 is going to be life changing for me. Thank you! 😃
This is exactly my experience. My detailed systems don't work for my family, and Cass helped me figure out that I had to adapt to my ladybug 🐞 family
I love this craft space! Is anyone else drawn to crafts just because of the organizing it calls for?!?! 😂😂
Crafting really is the ultimate "put things in their place" hobby
Love to see her do a craft room from top to bottom when you have multiple things that you craft with!! My craft room consists of my Florida room, dining room and my second bedroom.
Thank you for reminding me I'm not a failure because of my clutter. What is Joe's love language? Then plan something that truly speaks to that.

Thank you for explaining to me that bee’s need to go through things slowly! I have tried the declutter challenges and I fail every time. Now I can give myself permission to declutter over days instead of hours. Thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
Do I wait in front of my phone, waiting for your videos and watching them within minutes of getting published? Yes. I’m a fan 😎🥰
😂 🤣
OMG👌LoL...IDT!!! 🤩
And as a bee I LOVE those. Changed my life not having a pole of thread or stuff jammed in a drawer. I have one for my bobbins now too.
Anytime I have to clean, declutter and organize I get so overwhelmed. Your videos help so much!
I just procrastinate, just so much to do.
indeed, I said the same thing below!

I love the Slime labels! So cute. 🥰 Marie Kondo may need your help now that she has children. 🙂
And she "quit" her organizing job 😆
'a little long video'? BUT, so much to learn and be inspired!!! I stopped every now and then throughout this video to go declutter and clean and organise my home 😅 Thk u for all your tips and tricks to a cleaner home and a clearer mind 🙌
I really appreciated the lengthy video because it was so beneficial to see each style several times.

I love how you pulled together pieces of lots of videos into one fantastic masterpiece! You go, Cass!
Clutter bug you seem like such a nice soft soul, really love your personality it’s so sweet and real.
Red Wings, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Go Matt! Go Matt! Go Matt!!!
Scarcity Mindset and keeping random things stashed around the house, including “weapons” like a stick/bat is something VERY relatable.
Omg! Cass it finally clicked! I’m a bee! I can do this in my craft space or make life so much easier. Thanks a billion!❤❤❤
Cas..you are such a happy soul!! That makes others happy too. This video was super long but super helpful. Just listening without actual examples are not so understanding. But when you actually see real people with their real messes and organisation later, it makes so much difference in understanding the concept correctly. Love from India!!

Clutterbug I just love your sincere love for people. You have a good heart girl.
That is insane how the before-after of the lady bug is basically the same, at least on the outside. Her kitchen was spotless before, and it was spotless after. It's the content behind closed doors that were the biggest transformation.

I LOVE YOUR STYLE OF ARRANGING 🎉❤🎉
Yes, I love these because we have finally embraced the honest truth: one size fits all organization is no more!!!!!
Cute couple! Lol the butterfly basement and their great laughter
This is one of the best videos! Showing real people with real messes is very helpful. Usually I'm quite uncluttered but this video made me throw away a whole garbage bag!

Love Stephanie & you laughing.
So funny.
I am also a cricket living with a ladybug and a butterfly!
This video was long but sooooooooo worth it. You truly are a beast at what you do!!!
I wish she could do one for someone who has mental health issues and sometimes don’t have the energy or feel really low and can’t do much organising I would like to have their place organise but easier for someone with mental health.
it was so fantastic to see Stephanie again. She and you are great together ❤️
Glad you think so!
Me never watching this channel before by the end screaming, "I'M A LADYBUUUUG!!!" Can't wait to check out more videos, thank you
I loved this video Cas! But in my craft room, I’m a butterfly 🤷🏻♀️ 😂
❤about Valentines Day, for my husband, I’m making a few pairs of customized boxers for him, something similar to your Christmas pj’s for the family. I’m not going to mention what I’m putting on them with HTV, but use your adult humor /imagination 😊 ❤
You are me !!! I just told to a friend of mine that I'm a little bit of all those types, for me too, it depends on which room
@@kathystearns9012 hahaha! I didn’t know it was possible until I started organizing and I stepped back and took a long hard look at myself and said, hmm 🤔… can this be right? lol 🐞 🦗 🦋
O my god, this video changed my life. I can’t thank you enough.
Okay okay, I'll say this: socks...so many socks! Seeking soulmate 😆 awesome! But the landscaper guy...his reactions and plug for his business had me laughing so hard, what a good guy! Him and his wife are sweet 💓
Thank you!!! Now I know my organizing style, I think I'm a cricket / ladybug hybrid. 😊
Had to reschedule my professional organizer because other things needed attention !
I totally remember Marge!! I am her. Honestly. I’m in the middle of the great purge and organization now actually. It’s tough.
What a lovely suggestion.
I'm sure you know this: tidy folks are simply too lazy to search for stuff!!! Txs for identifying MY organizing style - definitely a cricket! Having to live in my very busy studio means I want a quiet-looking space, but everything in its place and super easy to find!
This was so cool to see. I love how she accommodates every style! Also the duct tape corset was hilarious!
Wonder video! I definitely love your way of organizing much better than so many of the popular trends because it’s just so much more realistic. Every person is different!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I feel called out and understood at the same time! Thx for everything!
🥰🤗😁
We don't do Valentine's day really. We do a nicer meal at home but that is about it. Also putting hooks behind the bedroom door from the last couple's video has been a GAME CHANGER for our bedroom and I turn my stress level.
We also used hooks behind our bedroom entrance door. Perfectly awesome idea it really helps.
I've probably watched this video 3 times...her sewing space turned out SO BEAUTIFULLY!
