If you merely think you have it with nothing confirmed by a medical professional, that's a self-diagnosis.

I'm almost done watching this show due to Claudia's coworkers sharing their opinion about black women
I had a major surgery a few months ago, and my half-sister, whom I helped raised, and babysit her 4 children whenever she travels or stressed out, never called or checked on me for 2 whole months, blaming it on her busy schedule.
I've completely stopped talking to her, and she feels that I am a grudge holder as she has already apologized. Go figure!
If someone cares about you, they'll check in on you. Love who loves you!!

I’m socially awkward. I self-diagnosed myself with ASD, even challenged mental health professionals that told me I wasn’t, and later in adulthood was referred to a specialist who confirmed I WAS NOT on the spectrum. While I do have a lot of the social components, I’m missing the physical. Just because there’s something there, doesn’t mean that’s what it is.

The playboy celebrity from girls next door also came out as having autism couple weeks ago and some other celebrity whose name I forget. All cheering themselves on for discovering their autism and becoming the face of autism in mainstream media.
Sure, It's possible they all have extremely high functioning autism but its beginning to misrepresent what autism is. People who truly suffer from it, and the families that have to be their life long caretakers struggling to keep them safe on a daily basis because of it.
So I dunno, seeing a new celebrity claim autism every other week just seems as though it's extremely trendy/popular right now, that's all.
But I guess it's whatever. Everyone in the world just has a mental disorder now, that's fine.

My daughter has autism and after going through all the long arduous steps and testing of her being diagnosed when she was 3 years old...and living first hand witnessing what she experiences with it and going through it all with her as her mom and daily caretaker...Al's ill-informed commentary really triggered me. 😠

@@prtdiva actually being diagnosed by therapist is not considered a clinical diagnosis. You still have to be referred to a psychiatrist for it to be clinical. Behavior analyst nor a therapist can actually give a clinical diagnosis. Therapist for a behavior analyst, however, suspect that you have it and if all the markers of having a disorder, their diagnosis isn’t clinical.

I was following and vibing with Amanda, UNTIL, one day she came for my REGULAR ass when I was just joking with her one day on a live. It was nothing disrespectful, just light playful comment about something she was doing. She is easily unhinged
Unfortunately, there is still a huge stigma surrounding mental health 😢The need for resources and effective treatment is available but people won’t seek them out. They sometimes don’t know where to go. I hosted an event this past weekend and brought the resources to the community but mostly black women attended. A lot of men suffer in silence and it is unfortunate that they still don’t feel comfortable talking about it! I will continue to bring awareness as long as I can!! Thanks TGIF for bringing awareness to a cause that affects so many even though they will not admit it! 💚💚
Sometimes there's financial barriers that present hurdles when people want to seek out mental health resources

I've said it for years and still say it till this day, I have a self diagnosed early late onset of Tourette Syndrome. It tends to flair up when ppl piss me off.
