When Gordon played bad cop towards Malone, it's like he's Batman in his own right - which is kinda ironic because in the main canon within the comics, Gordon took up the cowl for awhile when Bruce ended up missing with amnesia (no really, it happened - not kidding). Only difference was that Gordon used a Bat mecha suit since he's not quite as intelligent and skilled as Bruce is.
