What a smooth ballad, again the jazzy styling really sells it for me. So much more interesting than the bare music. You play so well; make real valid music. I am also drawn to players who feature their choice of digital instrment on their channel. It's not just the coming thing. It's already here; acoustic piano stores are really having trouble staying in business; like 90% of piano sales are now digital. I believe in it; there are, like yours, many very fine digitals on the market and impoving all the time. In 20 years I sense we'll see world class celebrities playing them in concert.

I do love this ballad--not a familiar carol for me, but I think jazz ballads have to be my favourite genre! I DO own an acoustic baby grand--I just don't record on it because the logistics of the sound engineering are beyond me. I have seen more and more movement towards digital pianos and the ones out on the market now are a far cry from the first ones that came out. It now makes more sense: the sound from the more expensive keyboards mimics the acoustics so well, you never have to tune it, and they are a lot easier to move! The only thing that I really miss is harmonic resonance from the strings--nothing beats sitting in front of a well-tuned piano and hearing all the harmonics off the strings! This little Yamaha DGX660 is really great though--I am very happy with the purchase, and the Technics piano I had before that one was also really great.

@@DavidMiller-bp7et Did I tell you the story about this keyboard? I had a beautiful Technics piano that was a gift from my husband. It lasted me for about twenty years (the piano--the husband is still here lol). We moved to Florida for a little bit, and about two hours before I was going to start my online lesson, the piano died. I found the Yamaha on Facebook Marketplace from a very friendly fellow that gave it to me for $600 on the condition that I USE it! It was a beautiful deal and I love the piano! (And I use it!)
