Pre entering/ clearing 5:53 an intersection is what airhorns are for as well as a Q2. To many companies don’t use them properly and then get pissed when there are vehicles in the way. You should never wait to use airhorns, Q2 or electronic sirens even when have the green light. It just like a deck gun on an engine to many companies fail to use them to their advantage. Pull up wrap your hydrant with tool kit, let the truck unload hose. Hit the fire with deck gun while hookup is being connected to hydrant then deck and hoses on fire.

Damn, Fairfax does not screw around. Full sirens and Q upon house exit always, as it should be. That tiller from Alexandria FD though, holy hells I've never seen a truck company fly that fast. I hope the call they were responding to wasn't as bad as it seemed to be.
Why do Americans need so many lights on their vehicles. I heard a lot of Americans complain about European sirens, but haha what is this 12:42 xD WIEuwWIEuwWIEuw it's like you won the jackpot in the casino.
We Americans have no control over how they design our fire trucks. As for the amount of lights well isn’t it obvious. Visibility. These fire trucks are big, heavy, and moving fast so visibly is very important. You see all those bright flashing lights racing down from a distance, you know to get the hell out of the way. Those lights serve a purpose, they’re not stuck on because they look cool lol.
Must have 360 lighting and we different pitches of sirens and different sounds because not everyone will hear just one pitch or just that siren, you add the Q and the powercall with an air horn most people hear you but not all so then you turn on the rumbler and when your coming up on a car they feel the vibrations from the rumbler, and we say y'alls sirens are annoying is cause its different from what we are used to and tbh it is annoying all y'all sirens basically sound the same and its all high pitch and shit
HankB1993 don't you think visibility is important for fire trucks (or emergency vehicles in general) in e.g. Germany as well? Of course it is, but still most fire trucks don't have more than 6 emergency ´lights, and many car based emergency vehicles only have 2. Moving fast ... well that'ssth we do for sure.In many cities fire trucks can maintain an keep up an average speed of 40 mph through city traffic, and on the highways we often push our units to the top speed. But there's no need to have like 30+ lights on our units

Palmerton Rail Productions maybe they don’t want people to have an accident with the truck while it’s en route
