You can do it! It’s a bit scary the first time but it’s possible if you go for it! Half our videos are filmed on 5” deadcat quads. We don’t fly larger than 5” unless we are going further than 3km out.

Man your living my dream but in a different state! Awesome videos. Iv been flying for allmaot 8 years and just getting into wanting to fly longrange. Pushing my 5inch as far as it will go. Whats your setup? Iv been eyeballing the iflight chimera 7inch.
You can do it! We use a Iflight Nazgul f6 HD and a chimera 6 build. We had a 7" but it went for a swim, super unlucky dead batery timing lol. Our most popular video to date was filmed on a 5"!

@@FpvOverAlaska We use crossfire, get a lot of hate for it but its tried and true. If you put a GPS on the drone and setup/trust your gps rescue its a little less risky but nothing like the adrenaline high after summiting a mountain 4km out!
@@RockyMountainFPV people hate on crossfire?! Iv been going back and forth between crossfire or elrs. I only just got back Into posting videos and checking out new gear. Never quit flying but keeping up with the hobby was not important last 3 years or so..
Yeah man people are weird. Crossfire is tried and true and we trust it more than elrs. Guess we hate change 🤷. Hey thanks for your subscription it brought me to your channel and your videos earned my subscription I really dig what your doing this is where I want to end up doing would really like to know what your setup consists of my friend . You are getting some amazing range.
Thanks for the sub! We currently use a combinations of dji 03 and goggles 2 paired with a slew of 5-7” machines (aos 5, Nazgûl evoques, custom build chimera 7s). Most of our videos from last year are all flown on 5” quads. We don’t really break out the 6 and 7” ones unless we are doing more than 3km out (bigger batteries). We do use crossfire because it’s tried and true! Let me know if you have any questions!
@RockyMountainFPV I'm looking g for the ultimate long range setup 7 or 10 inch definitely going to use dji goggles and hoping to get my hands on a 04 air unit if they are made available what radio do you use? Would like to use the new goggles 3
@@DESTINYFPV we use the tx16s. It’s big but it’s our fav radio to use. 7” is the easiest way to get into long range. 10” requires big expensive batteries that are either high capacity Lipo or lion.
