Ok so the two loves of my life are Taylor Swift and Christmas. I did not get to see The Eras Tour in cinemas but I have watched it three times in my living room while my entire house looks like a literal Christmas tree farm; lights, villages, stockings, a manger, snowmen, candles that smell like pine, Santa, reindeer, nutcrackers, a massive tree covered in tinsel and ornaments, you name it. I think The Eras Tour is now officially a Christmas movie to me and I have never felt happier! 😁🎁🎄❄️
I clicked on this video just to see if you agree that Home Alone 2 is top tier and better than the first, and was immediately rewarded. What can I say, Ally has taste 💅
I wonder why no one's ever made a Christmas in Australia movie where it's sunny and hot and they get into summer Christmas shenanigans. I'd definitely watch. Netflix has a few other holidays bangers like "Single All the Way" and "Love Hard."
hey ally! My favorite Christmas movie is National lampoons Christmas vacation. It was my dads favorite movie, and ever since he passed away my mom and I watch it together on Christmas Eve. We cry, laugh, and smile together. I hope you have a good Christmas!
My all-time favorite Christmas movie is “It’s A Wonderful Life,” but I also watch “The Holiday” and “Home Alone” like every year haha. Also, another fun Christmas video idea would be ranking modern celeb Christmas songs!
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation will always be my favorite. The jokes are ridiculous and Clark's final monologue at the end is just the best. I wish I had it memorized.
omg, I love the idea of house swapping 🤩 a summer christmas would definitely be well outside the comfort zone, but i could certainly be persuaded haha - in turn, we have snowy mountain peaks all around, christmas lights and decorations up in all the streets, christmas markets full of mulled wine, hot chocolate and sweet treats everywhere here in Salzburg, Austria, plus a pretty good view of the fortress and the new year's fireworks
I love how emotional you get over stuff. It makes me feel seen, that I'm not alone. Being kind and emotional is a strength and I love that there are more people out there who feel things with the same intensity as me. I love you so much!!! Happy holidays! 😊❤
The Family Stone is such a good Christmas film and the cast is great! I would give you a trigger warning though because the story does involve parent death
Yes great movie but the year it came out, we saw it in theater only a few months after losing my grandma. My whole family was a sobbing mess. I haven't really watched it since. So definitely a warning.
This was so fun !! The Grinch is my family's favorite and its the one we have to rewatch every year on christmas morning 🎄✨ btw I love the idea of a ranking of Taylor's outfits on eras ! xx
my dad's side of the family is predominantly Swedish, so we make a huge smorgasbord dinner and watch It's A Wonderful Life every year on Christmas Eve, it's one of my favorite traditions so I have a lot of love for that movie. TW for the main character having some brief suicidal ideation, but it has such an incredible message. The black and white and transatlantic accents also have huge nostalgia value for me lmao
The Family Stone is one of my favorite Christmas movies! You have to watch. Will warn that there is a story line about the loss of a parent- but I adore the cast and the hectic family of it all.
1:36 I'm in Canada rn, and we got NO SNOW FOR XMAS!! I was so upset, considering I live in Perth (Western Australia) and I was really looking forward to seeing snow on xmas
I feel so validated by your love for The Holiday and Love Actually!! My all-time fave Christmas movie has to be White Christmas though - it's so wholesome and delightful. Also Muppets Christmas Carol is my go-to Christmas Eve movie with my husband now. The new Grinch movie is actually really good! Watched it recently and will definitely watch it again next year!
as a christmas eve baby i love my birthday having the honour of being in one of your tier lists also sending you so much love dal pal. i'm trying my absolute hardest to try and reclaim some enjoyment during this time of the year, but there's definitely been many a panic attack and screaming sobbing meltdown. december can be so challenging, you're not at all alone in it
Merry Christmas Ally from all the way in England ❤🎄🎁 i love home alone and the holiday at christmas butttt two of my all time xmas favs are the polar express (it’s so cute and the ending is so emotional and cute) and nativity (based in a primary school putting on a nativity and it’s SOOOOO GOOD and the songs slap every time) so you should definitely watch ❤❤
Can you please do a track by track and deep dive, analysis about my favourite album Red? About concept, aesthetic, recording process and tracks analysis. You are so great! ❤️I am not (nothing) new fan, but what a joy it could be to hear deep dive about Red album for a new fans!
i’m a lover of christmas with the kranks, when you watch the character development of uh i forget any of the names from that movie THE GUY PLAYED BY TIM ALLEN, you watch as he goes from self centered, uncaring for those around in the neighborhood, to eventually having an act of kindness towards the end. it doesn’t feel like unrealistic character development because he surely isn’t perfect after, but you get to watch him step in the right direction. also the christmas song at the beginning is my new favorite christmas song as of this year for some reason it just hits my soul
Ok, trying to remember all I wanted to comment on. A) Osnabrück, Germany. Not recommended for a switch cause we get 10°C for Christmas every year. With rain. Lots of rain. So since the Christmas spirit is a bit tough on that front, Die Hard 1 and 2 are ABSOLUTELY Christmas movies in my house. B) Home Alone 2 is definitely better than the first! (NYC alone would be reason enough for me). C) I am absolutely a Grinch, but never actually seen any of the movies - been told I need to catch up D) I need to give The Holiday another watch, I remember I didn't really like it. Was years ago, and I recently heard from many people it's great E) Love Actually is my personal favorite. And I can't believe you didn't mention Hugh Grants dancing, because that get me laughing every time. Agree in the other points - especially calling Natalie chubby! It's still my favorite storyline. Cannot explain why exactly. I think I just like Natalie with that big of clumsiness. So I'm not a big fan of Christmas usually the family gets together in the evening (of the 24th) and eats soup. It used to be great when I was a kid. Everything was much more chill and everyone kinda had more time, now it's kinda just getting together out of obligation and I can't stand it. Probably partly because I'm the only grandchild in the family and nobody there (two uncles with their wives, my grandparents and my mom) I can really talk with about things I'm interested in - except my mom but we're close so I talk to her on a regular basis. So usually I just sit and get bored... As it's a Sunday this year I'm not going - staying home to watch American football and will see my family on the 26th for lunch instead. My Dad is celebrating with his new girlfriend and their family a few hours from where I live.
The movies I would recomend are the orginal animated how the grinch stole christmas, it's a wonderful life and maybe the orginal miracle on 34th street. The grinch has always been a favorite of mine, it's silly and lovely and the nonesense songs are amazing. It's a wonderful life is almost the definition of christmas for me, it's a journey and i'm not going to lie it's a little long and seems slow, but it's so worth it and it is the christmas eve movie in our family. Lastly the original miracle on 34th is a fun, heartwarming, slightly rom-com christmas movie and it's one of my favorites. Thanks for sharing your recomendations and Merry Christmas! Btw, I am sort of a new swiftie(don't know if I'm fully there yet but definitly on the way), and I found your channel and I absolutely love it and you. This is the first video I have gotten up the courage to comment on so I just want to say that I have really apreciated all of your videos, you are an amazing person and your videos and you yourself make me feel so welcome and have really helped on my journey to become a swiftie so thank you very very much for that and have a very merry christmas. P.S. sorry for the run-on sentences at the end here.
Ally, I just need you to know that I paused this at 12:37 because the level of UNHINGED energy you have in this video is unmatched and GREAT, and I now have to go back to the beginning so I can document everything (and ask some follow up questions because girl, you can't just drop some of these tidbits and not explain more). 0:19 genuinely made me laugh. 1:11 Yes, although I'm curious if you would do all the different variations. 2:56 Hush, these tier names are great. 3:23 I don't have a strong opinion about Die Hard as a Christmas film one way or the other (you do you, fam), but "ask Santa for a personality for Christmas" might be the most savage thing I've ever heard you say and I can't stop laughing. 4:30 I was today years old when I learned Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song are married??? (Side note, I just realized the title of your video has "roasting some like chestnuts on an open fire," Ally, my stomach hurts from laughing so hard.) 6:03 Inquiring minds would like to know about you being lost in NY as a child, it's me, I'm inquiring minds. 7:41 Why would we fight you when you're right? ;) Not only did you give us serving cunt (11:22), but you gave us a full ass AMV of Martha May (12:10), truly, we don't deserve you. 23:54 Literally had no idea the gymnastics thing was a thing and am absolutely delighted about it, 10/10. 30:39 It does feel like a universal experience, I feel like if we did a deep dive on that it would explain a lot about us as people. :P RE: Christmas traditions: The thing is that my birthday is on Christmas, so growing up was a mixed bag of experiences and definitely taught me to carve out pockets of time to actually celebrate it amidst everything else. We'd do a gift for my birthday at the time I was born in the morning, and then after Christmas dinner before dessert, we'd do birthday cake first. As I've gotten older and moved farther away from my family, I don't really get to celebrate with them much (and obviously friends are usually busy with their own families). Usually my spouse and I go out for a nice dinner the day of, but that's about it. The further I get into my 30s, though, the more I want to be reclaiming this time for myself (I also work in an industry that makes it hard to take time off at this time of year), so perhaps that's a little New Year's resolution for me, to plan something more festive and fun for next year.
First things first. Happy Christmas! Hope you have a nice one! Also 2000% down for a ranking of Eras Tour outfits!! I’ve been wanting to rewatch Unaccompanied Minors I remember liking it but I don’t have HBO anymore, so we’ll see. Also i love that you have both Unaccompanied Minors and Four Christmases on here deep cuts. My opinion as a super fan of The Family Stone is that everyone should watch it, but I should warn you that there is some very sad situations in it that might hit really hard.
I loved this! My favorite Christmas tradition is seeing the nutcracker. I have been doing it with my mom since I was a kid. My favorite Christmas movies are Home Alone and Rudolph The Red Nosed reindeer. ( I also love all the charlie brown movies, because my mom grew up on them too.) Funny story I could never like fully watch the Grinch till I was 13 ( original version) because I was deathly afraid of him LOL.
I've never felt more disconected to a video but slay queen *I don't really care for christmas movies since here in Brasil on christmas I would be running around, playing with my cousins until really late at night and, then just fall asleep to play again the next day
I love everything you said about The Holiday, I completely agree. Arthur and Miles ❤ my favorite Christmas movie is The Santa Claus (all 3 honestly on a loop) and most nostalgic fav is Miracle on 34th street, I watch every thanksgiving!
Merry Christmas Ally! My favorite Christmas movies are A Christmas Story, Home Alone 1-2 and Charlie Brown just to name a few. There is a movie called Home For The Holidays that I absolutely love, but it focuses on Thanksgiving Holly Hunter stars in it. Such a great movie 😊
I understand you Ally. I lost my grandparents (my favorite people) 2 weeks before christmas. One in 2016, and The other one in 2018 so Christmas was actually a tough time for me and my family up until last year when I finally convinsed my parents to get out of town for The holidays to change The air. Now it's a lot better but The scar is still there. I'm happy that I have loving and understanding people in my life that help me get in The spirit. Love you! ❤
Hi Ally, Merry Christmas! I hope your day has been alright and you're gearing up for lots of naps and chilling in the week between Christmas and New Years! There are 2 movies I think you would enjoy but were missing from your list, the first one you mentioned and it's The Family Stone. That is in my top 3 Christmas/Holiday movies and I could watch it any time of the year, but it hits most around Christmas. :) It will probably hit you kind of hard the first time you watch it and the second time b/c you'll pick up on different things you missed the first watch through, but it is seriously so good. The cast is wonderful! The second one is Noelle with Anna Kendrick. It's more of Christmas Spirit and inspiring people to believe and hope. It's cute, most likely it's a Minor Sleigh but worth at least one watch :)
Family Stone, Muppet Christmas Carol, and the Holiday are my god-tier holy trinity. Cannot believe I didn’t see a single comment mentioning Muppet Christmas Carol bc it is so clever and charming and has aged immaculately well! I feel like you would love it, Ally!
I 100% relate to having a hard time during Christmas due to lost/grief. On top of that my parents are divorcing this year so I decided to spent it with my BF watching Christmas movies, so thank you for adding to my list.
This was hilarious! I love you! You need to watch The Preacher’s Wife and It’s a Wonderful Life. And I would most highly recommend While You Were Sleeping, but her dad is dead. But it’s so good and sweet!
Girl, Fred Claus is not related to the Santa Clause movies LOL. Also the Santa Clause 2 is my personal favorite from that series! And my ultimate Christmas Eve movie is The Polar Express :)
ally my all time favorite christmas movie is santa paws. it is such a sweet movie but it will most definitely make you cry. i absolutely love it and think you should watch.
Ahhh i totally agree with you about home alone 2!! imagine taking all the great things about the first movie but now we are in NEW YORK BABEYYYYY Although it is an animated film, I would highly recommend watching Klaus next holiday season!! It came out on Netflix in 2019, so the artwork and graphics are simply gorgeous. It is also such a beautiful, funny, heartwarming story!! Everyone I know who has seen it has been saying it is now an instant classic for them, one of the best Christmas movies EVER!! That's really saying something. I don't wanna make your expectations too high, as I know like you said animation usually isn't your vibe, but I really think there's something in the film for everyone. It is god tier for me!!
Growing up, my family and I would go to my grandparents' house on Christmas Eve for a huge gathering of all of my extended family. All of us cousins would hang out in the basement and watch Home Alone on vhs. We would alternate every year between Home Alone and Home Alone 2. We don't do a big get-together on Christmas Eve anymore which is sad but I have the sweetest and coziest memories ❤
The Family Stone might break you but it's so good! I also really love the animated Grinch, Klaus, and The Polar Express if you ever dip into animated Xmas. What about Christmas Story?
You have to watch The Family Stone but trigger warning, it's emotional. It's so good though and my favourite (aside from Love Actually). Merry Christmas Ally!
ALLY!! Have you ever seen “The Family Man” with Nicolas Cage? It’s a Christmas rom con about a stuck-up business man getting a glimpse of what his life would be like if he hadn’t left his girlfriend for work. It is DEFINITELY my favorite Christmas movie, and may be one of my favorites of all time. I think you would love it!!
Merry Christmas everyone! Thank you for a beautiful year 💘

Merry Christmas, Ally 💖
Thank you pal!! I thought maybe he was worried after he accidentally shoplifted haha
I was watching it one time and during the church scene when he was with his neighbor and he DIDNT TELL HIM ABOUT THE MEN BREAKING INTO HIS HOUSE
i was thinking the SAME thing. these guys say exactly what time they are showing up in the 1st movie. why not call them as soon as they entered the house. the phone lines were down most of the time but he obviously called later that night.

The further I get into my 30s, though, the more I want to be reclaiming this time for myself (I also work in an industry that makes it hard to take time off at this time of year), so perhaps that's a little New Year's resolution for me, to plan something more festive and fun for next year.
Thank you for taking the time to share all this!!! I'm really glad you're making time for yourself this time of year too, happy almost birthday!!
THANK YOU!! Finally someone who thinks Home Alone 2 is better the an the OG. I love you thank you so much for your amazing videos!❤
A ranking every taylor swift music video would be amazing!! I don't think i've seen you share your opinions about her mvs.
Commenting again before I see where you put Four Christmases because it’s GOD TIER for me in all caps lol 😂
Thank you for this present!
My opinion as a super fan of The Family Stone is that everyone should watch it, but I should warn you that there is some very sad situations in it that might hit really hard.
the fact i didn’t know i NEEDED this until rn
Yes please do the eras outfit ranking video!
I love your Christmas nails!! So cute!
Thank you!! 😊
I've never felt more disconected to a video but
slay queen
*I don't really care for christmas movies since here in Brasil on christmas I would be running around, playing with my cousins until really late at night and, then just fall asleep to play again the next day
I love everything you said about The Holiday, I completely agree.
There is a movie called Home For The Holidays that I absolutely love, but it focuses on Thanksgiving
Holly Hunter stars in it. Such a great movie 😊
oh my gosh please do the video where you rank all the taylor swift tour outfits !! i live for your ranking videos
Yes please rank TS's eras tour outfits!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS 🎄❤
Great video wonderful and amazing Ally!!! 💖 Love Home Alone and The Holiday as well!
This video made me watch Home Alone 2 for the first time. It’s now my favorite Christmas movie! Thanks!
wow i'm so glad!!
merry christmas ally!!!! i gotta catch up on these xmas movies 🎅❄🎄
Muppet Christmas Carol is a favorite in my family, there’s never been a better Scrooge!
But it’s so good and sweet!
putting this on whilst making my eras tour bracelets it’s a whole other vibe
Never clicked so fast you forget it’s Christmas ❤🌲and yes I would love to see a ranking Taylor swift eras tour outfit video 💕💕
Outfit, nails, makeup, Christmas perfection! 🌲✨❤️
Girl, Fred Claus is not related to the Santa Clause movies LOL. Also the Santa Clause 2 is my personal favorite from that series! And my ultimate Christmas Eve movie is The Polar Express :)
omg so sorry to the santa clause franchise for associating you with that awful movie
Would adore an eras outfit ranking vid!!!
ally my all time favorite christmas movie is santa paws. it is such a sweet movie but it will most definitely make you cry. i absolutely love it and think you should watch.
I clicked faster than you could say sabotage and I would love eras tour outfit ranking❤
Ahhh i totally agree with you about home alone 2!! imagine taking all the great things about the first movie but now we are in NEW YORK BABEYYYYY
Although it is an animated film, I would highly recommend watching Klaus next holiday season!! It is god tier for me!!
ooo would you consider doing a ranking of childhood show holiday episodes?? like suite life of zack and cody and hannah montana christmas episodes!
I would LOVE a ranking of all the eras tour fits
Merry Christmas Ally!
thank you love!
I would love to see you rank the eras tour outfits!!!!!!!
I never thought of this as a Christmas movie, but I do like it. I guess it could be considered a Christmas movie lol
i haven't but my friend mentioned she loves it!!
Could you please talk more about your love for one tree hill/do videos or a deep dove on it????❤
