I picked one of these up for my Honda 9.9 (kicker) I thought it was a great idea when not at the helm and trolling. I quickly found out that my outboard does NOT have a steer tube (check your motor). Apparently some of the smaller (and older) outboards don't have them, but for another 120 bucks you can purchase Powertrans solution. Its a steer tube that clamps to the existing motor clamps. It seems to work well, although I've had some issues with slop in the linkage, but I'm trying to correct that.
