Noticed your dad checked the belts - which is always a good pre-trip thing to do. Checking fire extinguisher and safety equipment is a positive thing to do as well. 👍
Love your videos Grady. I drove a Suburban 2500 for 12 years and plan to buy another soon. I would just also encourage folks to make sure the radiator hoses and drive belts are in good shape before taking off on a trip. Personally, I would also check the air filter but that's not as critical as a belt and hose. I've just observed that many breakdowns have been a result of a broken belt or hose. Learned that lesson the hard way myself a few years back. Might also want to just make sure the battery cables are not loose. I look forward to more of your videos in 2022!
Grady I learn a lot from you or at least I'm reminded each time I watch a video of yours. The only extra things I do is check my belts and my filters. It was my Dad's requirement.
10 ply air pressures not towing. 50/55 front, 45/50 rear on LA freeways which are horrendous 09 Suburban HD. When towing 6500 travel trailer 55 front, 60 rear
I prefer these over K02s in harsh conditions in ID, MT and WA in Ice and Snow. Coopers are good prefer K02s in desert just preference really and application.

Good practical video.
Great info thank you!
Can you do a video talking about airing down the tires in various rough conditions? How much air do you take out when it's needed?

Yes definitely. I always check the belts and battery terminals and got video of it but forgot to mention it in the video. 🤦
Check the air in the spare! I learned this one the hard way.
Great information, Grady. Thank you. I'd been wondering what PSI to keep on the tires. I forgot to ask you when I picked up my rig. Lol.
This is the statement I was going to make only you said it much better!

Are you using stock tires? Grady always puts bigger tires on his rigs.
